Nine Days After [fitzSimmons]

Why do you think I left? ________________________________________________________________________________________ A few months ago the writers of Shield did something very mean and cruel. They did a time skip and never showed us the coma or what really happened between these two. This is an attempt to make up for that. After the Finale scene, I was thinking the same thing as most people: What happened to Fitz? More specifically, did he go into a coma? And I really, really wanted to see how Fitz’s condition would affect Simmons. I thought up this video idea back in July after hearing this song but I didn’t start the video because I wanted to wait and see if they would give us some coma footage in season 2. (By about episode 3 I realized we were never going to see the coma.) So this is me trying to show what Shield omitted. We have seen a lot of focus on Fitz’s side of the story (which don’t get me wrong, I have loved), but now I want to talk about Simmons side of the story. I wanted to portray that Fitz wasn’t the only one hurting. Simmons had to wait for nine days, not knowing if her best friend would wake up, and then when he finally did he couldn’t even speak. And once Fitz was up and moving again I’m sure he was frustrated, struggling so hard to be the person he was and the person he thought Simmons wanted him to be, which only made him worse. Which is why Simmons left. The only thing she wanted to do was help Fitz but by being there she was hurting him. The video shows this and then continues where season two begins. Simmons has been away for months and Fitz is hallucinating her because he doesn’t know how to cope. After being apart for some time they finally come back together but everything is strained between them (and “strained” sounds like such a nice word for the heart-rending, terrible, awful situation). The video ends where we currently are (that brilliant mid-season finale). So are things about to get better for Fitz and Simmons? I believe they are steadily getting better, but things are far from perfect. They still haven’t actually faced their problems. Simmons still hasn’t told him why she left! I hope we’ll get to see that in Season 2 pt B. It’s going to be a roller coaster people. Actually more like a comet colliding with earth. I can’t wait. This description was originally filled with me ranting about the greatness that is Jemma Simmons (um alternate Captain America) but I toned it down. We need more Simmons focus. Season 2 is too good for words but now we need Simmons focus. #SIMMONS 2K15. Spread it. Make Simmons videos. LET THEM KNOW. Whichever one of FitzSimmons the writers are currently NOT focusing on is the one I cheer for. So right now it’s Simmons. (but I love you too Fitz) BUT SIMMONS. FYI: I am constantly switching between Fitz and Simmons. My fave is FitzSimmons. It’s both. There’s no choosing. FITZSIMMONS4LIFE. (do I sound crazy? I am for this show.) Editing (rants) Comments: AUDIO EDITING IS TERRIBLE. I spent so much time getting the audio perfect but when I uploaded it, IT WAS ALL MESSED UP. So I’ve spent an entire WEEK fixing it and IT MADE ME WANT TO KIL L THINGS. I have not had such a frustrating time since my Masterpiece video from two years ago!! I am so OCD over this video!! Also, why does everyone’s finale scene look beautiful except for mine!? I actually downloaded the blueray episode and tried converting it but when I made it look brighter it looked TERRIBLE. Everyone else’s videos show a clear picture of Fitz and all his tears so why can’t mine? I’m actually kinda insecure about my clips. That awful ABC logo. I should probably just go get the blu-ray but not only would it take FOREVER, they might not even look good! My computer is terrible and doesn’t want to convert things. Oh, and I tried to use colorings a lot. I tend to use the same color scheme for liveaction though… I actually worked REALLY hard on this. That doesn’t quite explain it. I’ve struggled for WAY TOO LONG with this video. It’s taken me since October and I’m really proud of it.
