I was fishing in the woods when I heard the loud crying for help. It was a cute screech owl tangled in fishing line attached to a tree, so it was swinging like a pendulum pivoted to the branch. It took a while to get him free of the line but I think in the end he was fine. He flew across the lake without any problems.
This just goes to show how important it is to leave no trash behind when fishing, or doing any other outdoors activity. Always carry a trash bag with you, or at least put the extra line/garbage in your pockets or socks. Feel responsible for line that's tangled in the tree branches and try to clean them up as much as possible (I know it is not entirely possible sometimes)

Owl
Owls are birds from the order Strigiformes, which includes about 200 species of mostly solitary and nocturnal birds of prey typified by an upright stance, a large, broad head, binocular vision, binaural hearing, sharp talons and feathers adapted for silent flight. Exceptions include the diurnal northern hawk-owl and the gregarious burrowing owl.
Owls hunt mostly small mammals, insects, and other birds although a few species specialize in hunting fish. They are found in all regions of the Earth except Antarctica and some remote islands.
Owls are divided into two families: the true owls or typical owls, Strigidae; and the barn-owls, Tytonidae.
Anatomy
Owls possess large forward-facing eyes and ear-holes; a hawk-like beak; a flat face; and usually a conspicuous circle of feathers, a facial disc, around each eye. The feathers making up this disc can be adjusted in order to sharply focus sounds from varying distances onto the owls' asymmetrically placed ear cavities. Most birds of prey have eyes on the sides of their heads, but the stereoscopic nature of the owl's forward-facing eyes permits the greater sense of depth perception necessary for low-light hunting. Although owls have binocular vision, their large eyes are fixed in their sockets—as are those of other birds—so they must turn their entire head to change views. As owls are farsighted, they are unable to see clearly anything within a few centimeters of their eyes. Caught prey can be felt by owls with the use of filoplumes—like feathers on the beak and feet that act as "feelers". Their far vision, particularly in low light, is exceptionally good.

Owls (band)
Owls is an indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois, active from 2001-2002, and now again in 2012. The band is composed of the original lineup of seminal experimental emo indie band Cap'n Jazz soon after its second breakup (the first came in 1995); Cap'n Jazz guitarist Davey von Bohlen, who played in the band's second incarnation, had gone on to found influential emo band The Promise Ring and did not participate in Owls. The band's lineup consisted of brothers Tim Kinsella and Mike Kinsella (vocals and drums, respectively), along with guitarist Victor Villareal and bassist Sam Zurick. Tim Kinsella and Zurick have also played together in Joan of Arc and Make Believe, and Villarreal and Zurick have played together in the instrumental rock group Ghosts and Vodka.
The band dissolved in 2002.
Owls reunited in March 2012. The band then announced via Facebook on July 22nd, 2013 that they had completed work on a new record after 18 months of writing and were heading into the studio to record their second studio album. In January it was announced that the album would be titled Two. It was released on March 25th, 2014.

Rescuing a screech owl tangled in fishing line, New Jersey - 09/06/2015

O.W.L.준비하는 호그와트 학생들 필독!●마법시험 뽀모도로 타이머 ASMR | 50/10, 8과목 (마법부 인증!)
O.W.L. 준비하는 마법사 친구들아, 첨엔 그냥 내가 쓰려고 타이머를 만들기 시작했는데 만들수록 자꾸 욕심이 나서 퀄리티를 계속 높이다가 결국 마법부 인증(MMC:Ministry of Magic Certification)까지 받아버렸지 뭐야. (인증 없는 유사 타이머들을 주의하기 바라) 헤르미온느 마법부 장관님께 칭찬도 받았어! (이런게 바로 성덕인가ㅠㅠㅠ) 타이머 방식은 50분 공부에 10분 휴식, 총 8세트로 구성돼 있어. 실제 시험 과목과 순서에 따라 배치를 했기 때문에 모의고사 푸는 친구들에게도 도움이 될 거야. 머글들 사이에서 유명한 뽀모도로 공부법에서 영감을 얻었는데 50분 동안은 친구가 호그스미드에 가자고 꼬셔도 절대 흔들리지 말고 초집중해서 공부를 해야 해. 50분이 지나 부엉이가 울면 그때부턴 10분간 쉬는 시간이야. 이렇게 총 여덟 세트를 반복하면 돼! 허니듀크스에 새로 나온 간식을 8개 미리 사 두었다가 휴식 시간에 하나씩 선물 개봉하는 것처럼 꺼내 먹으니까 좋더라구ㅋㅋ 그리고 집중에 더욱 도움이 되도록 총 네 가지 테마의 ASMR을 넣어 봤어. 첫 번째는 O.W.L. 시험 장소인 그레이트 홀의 횃불 소리인데 여긴 평소에 떠드는 애들이 많잖아? 소리만으로도 집중이 잘 되지만, 조용한 시험 환경에 미리 적응하는데도 도움이 될 것 같아. 참고로 그레이트 홀에서 몰래 녹음해 간 소리가 공부하는 머글들 사이에서 엄청난 인기를 끌었다고 해 ㄷㄷ 두 번째는 그리핀도르 기숙사에서 녹음한 빗소리야. 비 오는 날 침대에 누워 녹음을 했는데 창문에 도독도독 부딪히는 빗소리가 뭔가 마음도 안정되고 ...

I was fishing in the woods when I heard the loud crying for help. It was a cute screech owl tangled in fishing line attached to a tree, so it was swinging like a pendulum pivoted to the branch. It took a while to get him free of the line but I think in the end he was fine. He flew across the lake without any problems.
This just goes to show how important it is to leave no trash behind when fishing, or doing any other outdoors activity. Always carry a trash bag with you, or at least put the extra line/garbage in your pockets or socks. Feel responsible for line that's tangled in the tree branches and try to clean them up as much as possible (I know it is not entirely possible sometimes)

첨엔 그냥 내가 쓰려고 타이머를 만들기 시작했는데
만들수록 자꾸 욕심이 나서 퀄리티를 계속 높이다가
결국 마법부 인증(MMC:Ministry of Magic Certification)까지 받아버렸지 뭐야.
(인증 없는 유사 타이머들을 주의하기 바라...
O.W.L. 준비하는 마법사 친구들아,
첨엔 그냥 내가 쓰려고 타이머를 만들기 시작했는데
만들수록 자꾸 욕심이 나서 퀄리티를 계속 높이다가
결국 마법부 인증(MMC:Ministry of Magic Certification)까지 받아버렸지 뭐야.

헤르미온느 마법부 장관님께 칭찬도 받았어!
(이런게 바로 성덕인가ㅠㅠㅠ)
타이머 방식은 50분 공부에 10분 휴식,
총 8세트로 구성돼 있어.
실제 시험 과목과 순서에 따라 배치를 했기 때문에
모의고사 푸는 친구들에게도 도움이 될 거야.
머글들 사이에서 유명한
뽀모도로 공부법에서 영감을 얻었는데
50분 동안은 친구가 호그스미드에 가자고 꼬셔도
절대 흔들리지 말고 초집중해서 공부를 해야 해.
50분이 지나 부엉이가 울면 그때부턴 10분간 쉬는 시간이야.
이렇게 총 여덟 세트를 반복하면 돼!
허니듀크스에 새로 나온 간식을 8개 미리 사 두었다가
휴식 시간에 하나씩 선물 개봉하는 것처럼
꺼내 먹으니까 좋더라구ㅋㅋ
그리고 집중에 더욱 도움이 되도록
총 네 가지 테마의 ASMR을 넣어 봤어.
첫 번째는 O.W.L. 시험 장소인 그레이트 홀의 횃불 소리인데
여긴 평소에 떠드는 애들이 많잖아?
소리만으로도 집중이 잘 되지만,
조용한 시험 환경에 미리 적응하는데도 도움이 될 것 같아.
참고로 그레이트 홀에서 몰래 녹음해 간 소리가
공부하는 머글들 사이에서 엄청난 인기를 끌었다고 해 ㄷㄷ
두 번째는 그리핀도르 기숙사에서 녹음한 빗소리야.
비 오는 날 침대에 누워 녹음을 했는데
창문에 도독도독 부딪히는 빗소리가 뭔가 마음도 안정되고
공부할 때 정말 자주 듣고 있어.
세 번째는 해그리드 오두막에서 녹음해 온 벽난로 소리야.
해그리드 할아버지가 오두막에 있는 신비한 동물들을
밖으로 옮길 수 있게 해 주셔서
벽난로 소리만 녹음할 수 있었어! 휴.
신비한 동물들 소리는 워낙 호불호가 나뉘고
공부할 땐 좀 거슬릴 수도 있는 소리라서 말이야.
해그리드의 불 다루는 솜씨 덕분에
안정적이고도 고품격인 장작 타는 소리를 들을 수 있어.
마지막은 천문탑에서 녹음한 천둥 빗소리인데
천둥이 적당히 쿠르릉대던 날이어서
듣다 보면 자극적이지 않고 집중이 정말 잘 될 거라구.
TMI이지만 천문탑은 호그와트에서 가장 좋아하는 장소인데
녹음하는 날 천둥 소리 들으면서 책 한 권을 다 읽었어.
호불호가 나뉘지 않고 모두가 무난하게 들을 수 있는 것들로,
내가 생각하는 최고의 소리들로 엄격하게 골라 사용했으니
다들 마음에 들 거라 생각해!
혹시 특정 소리가 마음에 들지 않는다면
스킵해서 마음에 드는 파트로 건너 뛰거나,
음소거 해 놓고 마음에 드는 음악이나 소리를
같이 틀어 놓고 사용해 줘.
아, 참! 내가 마법부에 갔다가 우연히 엿들은 건데...(쉿)
이번 O.W.L.에 사용되는 부정 행위 방지 깃펜은
공작 깃털이라는 소문을 입수했으니 참고하기 바라.
공부할 때 미리 적응해 두면 시험 당일날 좀 더 안정적이겠지?
모두들 무사히 O.W.L. 통과하자구.
다음엔 N.E.W.T라는 미친 과정이 남아 있긴 하지만ㅠ

I was fishing in the woods when I heard the loud crying for help. It was a cute screech owl tangled in fishing line attached to a tree, so it was swinging like a pendulum pivoted to the branch. It took a while to get him free of the line but I think in the end he was fine. He flew across the lake without any problems.
This just goes to show how important it is to leave no trash behind when fishing, or doing any other outdoors activity. Always carry a trash bag with you, or at least put the extra line/garbage in your pockets or socks. Feel responsible for line that's tangled in the tree branches and try to clean them up as much as possible (I know it is not entirely possible sometimes)

O.W.L. 준비하는 마법사 친구들아,
첨엔 그냥 내가 쓰려고 타이머를 만들기 시작했는데
만들수록 자꾸 욕심이 나서 퀄리티를 계속 높이다가
결국 마법부 인증(MMC:Ministry of Magic Certification)까지 받아버렸지 뭐야.
(인증 없는 유사 타이머들을 주의하기 바라)
헤르미온느 마법부 장관님께 칭찬도 받았어!
(이런게 바로 성덕인가ㅠㅠㅠ)
타이머 방식은 50분 공부에 10분 휴식,
총 8세트로 구성돼 있어.
실제 시험 과목과 순서에 따라 배치를 했기 때문에
모의고사 푸는 친구들에게도 도움이 될 거야.
머글들 사이에서 유명한
뽀모도로 공부법에서 영감을 얻었는데
50분 동안은 친구가 호그스미드에 가자고 꼬셔도
절대 흔들리지 말고 초집중해서 공부를 해야 해.
50분이 지나 부엉이가 울면 그때부턴 10분간 쉬는 시간이야.
이렇게 총 여덟 세트를 반복하면 돼!
허니듀크스에 새로 나온 간식을 8개 미리 사 두었다가
휴식 시간에 하나씩 선물 개봉하는 것처럼
꺼내 먹으니까 좋더라구ㅋㅋ
그리고 집중에 더욱 도움이 되도록
총 네 가지 테마의 ASMR을 넣어 봤어.
첫 번째는 O.W.L. 시험 장소인 그레이트 홀의 횃불 소리인데
여긴 평소에 떠드는 애들이 많잖아?
소리만으로도 집중이 잘 되지만,
조용한 시험 환경에 미리 적응하는데도 도움이 될 것 같아.
참고로 그레이트 홀에서 몰래 녹음해 간 소리가
공부하는 머글들 사이에서 엄청난 인기를 끌었다고 해 ㄷㄷ
두 번째는 그리핀도르 기숙사에서 녹음한 빗소리야.
비 오는 날 침대에 누워 녹음을 했는데
창문에 도독도독 부딪히는 빗소리가 뭔가 마음도 안정되고
공부할 때 정말 자주 듣고 있어.
세 번째는 해그리드 오두막에서 녹음해 온 벽난로 소리야.
해그리드 할아버지가 오두막에 있는 신비한 동물들을
밖으로 옮길 수 있게 해 주셔서
벽난로 소리만 녹음할 수 있었어! 휴.
신비한 동물들 소리는 워낙 호불호가 나뉘고
공부할 땐 좀 거슬릴 수도 있는 소리라서 말이야.
해그리드의 불 다루는 솜씨 덕분에
안정적이고도 고품격인 장작 타는 소리를 들을 수 있어.
마지막은 천문탑에서 녹음한 천둥 빗소리인데
천둥이 적당히 쿠르릉대던 날이어서
듣다 보면 자극적이지 않고 집중이 정말 잘 될 거라구.
TMI이지만 천문탑은 호그와트에서 가장 좋아하는 장소인데
녹음하는 날 천둥 소리 들으면서 책 한 권을 다 읽었어.
호불호가 나뉘지 않고 모두가 무난하게 들을 수 있는 것들로,
내가 생각하는 최고의 소리들로 엄격하게 골라 사용했으니
다들 마음에 들 거라 생각해!
혹시 특정 소리가 마음에 들지 않는다면
스킵해서 마음에 드는 파트로 건너 뛰거나,
음소거 해 놓고 마음에 드는 음악이나 소리를
같이 틀어 놓고 사용해 줘.
아, 참! 내가 마법부에 갔다가 우연히 엿들은 건데...(쉿)
이번 O.W.L.에 사용되는 부정 행위 방지 깃펜은
공작 깃털이라는 소문을 입수했으니 참고하기 바라.
공부할 때 미리 적응해 두면 시험 당일날 좀 더 안정적이겠지?
모두들 무사히 O.W.L. 통과하자구.
다음엔 N.E.W.T라는 미친 과정이 남아 있긴 하지만ㅠ
N.E.W.T용 타이머를 만들 날이 꼭 올 거라 믿으며
이만 글을 마치도록 할게.

Owls are birds from the order Strigiformes, which includes about 200 species of mostly solitary and nocturnal birds of prey typified by an upright stance, a large, broad head, binocular vision, binaural hearing, sharp talons and feathers adapted for silent flight. Exceptions include the diurnal northern hawk-owl and the gregarious burrowing owl.
Owls hunt mostly small mammals, insects, and other birds although a few species specialize in hunting fish. They are found in all regions of the Earth except Antarctica and some remote islands.
Owls are divided into two families: the true owls or typical owls, Strigidae; and the barn-owls, Tytonidae.
Anatomy
Owls possess large forward-facing eyes and ear-holes; a hawk-like beak; a flat face; and usually a conspicuous circle of feathers, a facial disc, around each eye. The feathers making up this disc can be adjusted in order to sharply focus sounds from varying distances onto the owls' asymmetrically placed ear cavities. Most birds of prey have eyes on the sides of their heads, but the stereoscopic nature of the owl's forward-facing eyes permits the greater sense of depth perception necessary for low-light hunting. Although owls have binocular vision, their large eyes are fixed in their sockets—as are those of other birds—so they must turn their entire head to change views. As owls are farsighted, they are unable to see clearly anything within a few centimeters of their eyes. Caught prey can be felt by owls with the use of filoplumes—like feathers on the beak and feet that act as "feelers". Their far vision, particularly in low light, is exceptionally good.
