Remember the
Budweiser Frogs, three of the most successful mascots in brewing history and part of one of the most well-known international alcohol advertising campaigns? And
Louie and
Frankie (the
Budweiser Lizards), two wisecracking chameleons with
Brooklyn accents who wanted to sing at
Super Bowl XXIX instead of the
Frogs saying "
Bud, Weis, Er"?
I hereby present to you: "NOT WITHOUT MY SWAMP"!
Enough with all the incomplete compilations, including that one by CulturePub: the subtitle of this film says it all. THIS is THE definitive complete, uncut, full-length compilation of every
Budweiser Frog,
Lizard and
Ferret commercial from
1994 to
2000, plus never-before-seen (on YouTube, at least) commercials such as that one featuring Bud's love interest.
Apologies in advance for the varying quality and those annoying bugs (that is, watermarks) in some of the segments in this film; I found those segments already with such low quality and bugs.
Let me give you an overview of what the Budweiser Frogs series is about:
The Budweiser Frogs are part of one of the most well-known international alcohol advertising campaigns. Louie is irritated by the Frogs' incessant croaking, and jealous of their success, while Frankie is his more rational, even-tempered friend. Frankie apparently socialized with the Frogs and is puzzled by Louie's animosity towards them. Nonetheless, Louie plans a terrible vengeance against the Frogs, hiring an inept ferret hitman in the process, to try and allow for Louie to finally make HIMSELF successful, with disastrous and hilarious results
...
Comedy ensues (particularly after we are introduced to Louie and Frankie).
Enjoy! And, by the way, I'd like to personally consider this video to be my latest masterpiece (as of
August 2012).
At the end, this series of commercials deserves the recognition it gets for its achievement in script and voice acting, and if any advertising campaign gets revived in the near future, the Budweiser Frogs and Lizards have my wholehearted nomination.
And that's not all! You can watch further escapades not forming part of the main series here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzq9qvA7lC0fZnSRaPxObdKJoFoA2-0G4

P.S. The voice actors behind the Lizards were the great
Paul Christie (who plays "Louie") and
Danny Mastrogiorgio (who plays "Frankie"),
Bob Morrow (who is yet another one of my friends) played the Ferret, and the Frogs were voiced by Tom Coulson.
It's interesting to note that Louie's voice clips were recorded before the official slate or "OK, we're rolling" since, according to
Morrow, it was all improvised by Paul Christie before take one was even called.
Everything else was cut in and dovetailed perfectly. A lot of times the best stuff is before action or in the roll out. Danny Mastrogiorgio was exceptional at this as well, apparently.

Trivia: The name of this film is based on the title of a
South Park episode, "
Terrance and Philip in '
Not Without My Anus'".
