WaterAid Water Challenge

WaterAid Australia is conducting their first annual Water Challenge this coming March, coinciding with World Water Day on the 22nd March 2016.

This year, Australians can choose their challenge to Just Drink Water for 14 or 30 days, or, get active and Walk for Water, with the goal of walking 10,000 steps between the 14th and 20th of March.

By being involved in the Water Challenge participants are helping spread awareness of the global inequality for safe water sources. Fundraising from WaterAid’s Water Challenge will go towards working with local partners to set up practical and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene products that meet the needs of the world’s poorest and most marginalised communities.
Safe water is essential for life and good health, yet 650 million people worldwide don’t have access to it.
