Melbourne Star | Observation Wheel | Open

Visitors to Melbourne Star will enjoy a wealth of information about Melbourne including its history culture eccentricities and the ‘Star’ qualities of modern Melbourne through a pre-boarding display and story panels ‘Tales of Melbourne’ and via specially researched cabin audio.

It is far more than a ride on a giant observation wheel although for most people that will be an entirely new experience in itself; it is a wholly new Melbourne experience and I believe it will become a must-do activity for locals and visitors alike.

Open Hours


Melbourne Star is open daily from 10am - 10pm with the last flight departure at 9.30pm sharp. Entry gates close at 9.25pm sharp in anticipation of final boarding at 9.30pm. Ticket purchases for the last flight of the evening must be finalised by 9.15pm.

1pm - 10pm Christmas Day (December 25) and Anzac Day (April 25).

Happens: Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday


Time: 10am - 10pm | last flight at 9.30pm
