Somewhere in Virginia on the outskirts of private farmland sits the completely bizarre sight of nearly 40 giant U.S. president busts crumbling amongst the weeds. The mammoth heads—each estimated to weigh in excess of 7,000 pounds—were originally commissioned from a Houston artist as the centerpiece for Presidents Park, a ten-acre open-air museum with presidential sculptures and informational plaques located in Williamsburg, Virginia. First opened in 2004, the museum closed just 6 years later due to lack of attendance and most of the heads were eventually moved to a private farm where they sit today.
Photographer Patrick Joust recently made a trek to the presidential graveyard and shot these amazing photos of the eroding statues. The pieces are already faded and peeling from the elements and display a number of structural scars from repeated moves. The post-apocalyptic scene is reminiscent of the final moments of Planet of the Apes, or a modern take on the giant mysterious heads sprawled across Easter Island. A few of the presidential busts have been a bit more lucky: Abraham Lincoln’s bust now rests in front of the the Lincoln RV Park in Williston, North Dakota, and Theodore Roosevelt’s bust sits outside the Roosevelt Inn in Watford.

President Park Geun-hye wrapped up her visit to Uganda just over an hour ago... and is now heading to Kenya... for the final leg of her tour of East Africa.
She brings with her several notable achievements made in Kampala.
Our Song Ji-sun is traveling with the presidential press corps and she filed us this report before taking off for Nairobi.
President Park leaves Uganda with an invaluable achievement toward reining in North Korea's nuclear ambitions.
After summit talks, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni vowed to "disengage" from all military and security cooperation with Pyongyang... and vowed to comply with the UN sanctions on North Korea.
"Uganda has been friendly to North Korea, but it's starting to fully implement the UN sanctions on Pyongyang and it will encourage other African nations to participate as well."
During her Africa trip, President Park has been seeking support for the global efforts to sanction North Korea -- first at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and now in Uganda, once a longtime ally of North Korea.
In making the move, Uganda put practical and economic cooperation with Seoul before its ties with Pyongyang, as demonstrated in its push to adopt Seoul's Saemaul Undong initiative to modernize its rural communities.
President Park also attended the launch of an agricultural training center near the Ugandan capital of Kampala.
It's the first of its kind in Africa, and will provide training on Saemaul Undong for 100 community leaders a year, who can then apply the lessons back in their hometowns.
"President Park is now off to Nairobi, the last stop on her three-nation East Africa tour. Business will be the focus in Kenya, as it's the biggest economy in the region and functions as a transportation and logistics hub.

President Park Geun-hye and her Ethiopian counterpart launched the Korean government's new humanitarian initiative Korea Aid in the capital earlier today.
The program provides area residents with medical services, food and entertainment.
Lee Un-shin has the details.
President Park Geun-hye launched Korea Aid with a special ceremony at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia on Saturday.
The event kicked-off with hundreds of people in attendance, including Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome.
The two leaders spoke with area residents and volunteers to discuss the future direction of the project.
The program -- which aims to provide services in the areas of health, nutrition, education and culture -- uses mobile trucks to reach people living in more isolated parts of the country.
"The project needs to focus on the real needs of the community. In order to do that, communication is the key."

Ethiopia is among the world's poorest countries, with 87% of the population classified by Oxford University as "multi-dimensionally poor."
The nation is especially in need of upgrades to its health care system.
There are only point-zero-three doctors per one-thousand people,... a significantly low rate compared to the world average of more than one physician per thousand.
Given that, medical support was prioritized in the region.
More than 20 Korean doctors and nurses joined area doctors to provide general check-ups and pediatric care.
The program will also provide educational media content on first aid and personal hygiene.
President Park is currently in Uganda and will later travel to Kenya, both of which are also expected to benefit from Korea Aid.

The program provides area residents with medical services, food and entertainment.

President Park Geun-hye launched Korea Aid with a special ceremony at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia on Saturday.
The event kicked-off with hundreds of people in attendance, including Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome.
The two leaders spoke with area residents and volunteers to discuss the future direction of the project.
The program -- which aims to provide services in the areas of health, nutrition, education and culture -- uses mobile trucks to reach people living in more isolated parts of the country.
"The project needs to focus on the real needs of the community. In order to do that, communication is the key."

Ethiopia is among the world's poorest countries, with 87% of the population classified by Oxford University as "multi-dimensionally poor."
The nation is especially in need of upgrades to its health care system.
There are only point-zero-three doctors per one-thousand people,... a significantly low rate compared to the world average of more than one physician per thousand.
Given that, medical support was prioritized in the region.
More than 20 Korean doctors and nurses joined area doctors to provide general check-ups and pediatric care.
The program will also provide educational media content on first aid and personal hygiene.
