Jason Francis Kenny MBE (born 23 March 1988 in Bolton, United Kingdom) is an English track cyclist, specialising in the individual and team sprints. After winning multiple World and European Junior titles in 2006 and achieving medals in the under 23 European championships in 2007, Kenny was selected ahead of Ross Edgar to compete for Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Along with Chris Hoy and Jamie Staff, he won gold medal in the team sprint, breaking the world record in the qualifying round. He also finished behind team-mate Chris Hoy in the final of the individual sprint, gaining a silver medal.

In January 2012, he gained his first world championship title, after Grégory Baugé's results were nullified after a backdated 12-month ban for missing a drugs test, and the Union Cycliste Internationale promoted Kenny to the gold medal.

Kenny's first taste of major track competition came when he competed in the Future Stars series, a junior competition held as part of the Revolution series at the Manchester Velodrome. Kenny competed in a number of the ad-hoc events during the first season of the Revolution in 2003/2004. In the second season, he competed in the first fully fledged Future Series competition, taking part in a number of sprint and endurance events for 15–16-year-olds, during the season of 4 track meetings. The series gives youngsters the chance to compete in front of a crowd from an early age, it is noted for showcasing the majority of Britain's young talent. When the 2004/2005 season finished in February 2005, the 16 year old Kenny finished in the top 10 in the final standings.

Victoria Louise Pendleton MBE (born 24 September 1980) is a British track cyclist who specialises in the sprint disciplines. Pendleton has represented Great Britain and England in international competition, winning nine world titles including a record six in the individual sprint competition. Pendleton is the reigning Olympic and World Champion for the sprint. In addition Pendleton is a former European and Commonwealth champion. Her father, Max, was also a British national grass-track cycling champion.

Pendleton rode her first race, a 400m event on the grass track at Fordham at nine. Pendleton showed her promise at 13 and was spotted three years later by the assistant national track coach, Marshal Thomas. At that time she wanted to concentrate on her education, graduating from Fearnhill School in Letchworth Garden City, and later awarded a degree in Sport and Exercise Science by Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne. She enjoyed some success on the track as a student before graduating and becoming a full-time cyclist.

Sir Christopher Andrew "Chris" Hoy, MBE (born 23 March 1976 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish track cyclist representing Great Britain and Scotland. He is a multiple world champion and Olympic Games gold medal winner. With his three gold medals in Beijing 2008, Hoy became Scotland's most successful Olympian, the first Briton to win three gold medals in a single Olympic games since Henry Taylor, in 1908, and the most successful Olympic male cyclist of all time.

Hoy went to school at Stockbridge Primary School, a state school in Edinburgh. He subsequently attended George Watson's College, a prestigious Edinburgh private school before continuing his studies at the University of St Andrews in 1996, before transferring to Moray House at the University of Edinburgh from where he graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Sports Science in 1999. He was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Edinburgh in July 2005 and another from Heriot-Watt University in November 2005. Hoy returned to St Andrews University in June 2009 to be awarded an honorary Doctor of Science. Hoy was inspired to cycle at age six by the 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Before track cycling, Hoy raced BMX between the ages of 7 and 14 and was ranked second in Britain, fifth in Europe and ninth in the world. He received sponsorship from Slazenger and Kwik-Fit and was competing in Europe and the US. Hoy also rowed for the Scottish junior team, coming second in the 1993 British championship with Grant Florence in the coxless pairs. He played rugby as part of his school's team.

Ross Edgar (born 3 January 1983) is a Scottish track cyclist who represented Scotland at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games, where he won a gold medal in the team sprint riding with Chris Hoy and Craig MacLean. He competed for Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games

He won a silver medal at the 2007 UCI Track World Championships in the team sprint and a bronze medal in the Keirin.

He won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Although he represents Scotland internationally he was born and lives in Newmarket, Suffolk.

Edward "Ed" Clancy MBE (born 12 March 1985 in Barnsley) is an English professional track and road bicycle racer who rides for the Rapha Condor-Sharp team. On the track his specialist discipline is the team pursuit, in which he is reigning Olympic champion. Clancy is also a four-time world champion (in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2012) and twice European champion (in 2010 and 2011) in team pursuit; Clancy has also won World (2010) and European (2011) titles at Omnium.

On the road, Clancy won the first stage of the 2005 Tour of Berlin.

On 17 August 2008, Clancy was a member of the Olympic team pursuit squad which broke the world record in the heats with 3:55:202, beating Russia to the ride-off for silver and gold. The following day, on their way to winning the gold medal, the British team broke their own world record in 3:53:314, beating Denmark by 6.7 seconds..

On 4 April 2012 Clancy was part of the Great Britain team which set a new world record of 3:53.295 in winning the gold medal in the team pursuit at the 2012 World Track Cycling Championships in Melbourne.
