About the ESRC

The eScholarship Research Centre is a social and cultural informatics research centre within the University Library, with a focus on archival science and contextual information. The ESRC's Social and Cultural Informatics Lab is a development and testing ground for informatics solutions in archival science and digital humanities. Our research aims to advance the discovery and interpretation of information in published literature, archival records and research data. The ESRC was established in 2007 and continues the work begun with the Australian Science Archives Project (1985-1999) and the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre (1999-2007).
