"Firecracker" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Josh Turner. It was released in June 2007 as the lead-off single from Turner's album Everything Is Fine, which was released on MCA Nashville on October 30, 2007. His fastest-climbing single, the song reached a peak of number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Turner wrote this song with Shawn Camp and Pat McLaughlin.
The song is an up-tempo number in which the narrator describes the intensity of his lover as being comparable to the explosion of a firecracker.
A music video was released to promote the single, directed by Peter Zavadil. In the video, Josh Turner is seen pulling up to a fireworks outlet. While he is inside shopping, mixed in are scenes of a young man, flirting with the girl at the counter, played by Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2005, Sarah Bryan Withers. Turner is shown performing the song on an outdoor stage in parts of the video. The video is shot in Kimball, Tennessee, near Jasper and South Pittsburg.

The 1977 Firecracker 400 was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series racing event that took place on July 4, 1977, at Daytona International Speedway in the American community of Daytona Beach, Florida.
By 1980, NASCAR had completely stopped tracking the year model of all the vehicles and most teams did not take stock cars to the track under their own power anymore. Only manual transmission vehicles were allowed to participate in this race; a policy that NASCAR has retained to the present day.
A racing grid of 41 drivers competed in this race; including Belgian driver Christine Beckers and Italian driving sensation Lella Lombardi. Out of this 160-lap racing event, D.K. Ulrich would be credited with the last-place finish due to an engine problem on the fourth lap. Janet Guthrie be the only American-born female driver on the grid; the rest of the American drivers were male. While A.J. Foyt, Cale Yarborough, Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip would monopolize the opening laps of the race, Donnie Allison and Richard Petty would fight it out for supremacy in the crucial final laps.

Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid is the debut studio album by the American rock band Collective Soul. It was originally released on vinyl on an indie label in Atlanta called Rising Storm Records in 1993. The track "Shine" gained the band attention thanks to college radio. They later signed on with Atlantic Records and the album was released on CD in 1994 under the Atlantic label.
The album's title is derived from the lyrics of Paul Simon's 1986 hit "You Can Call Me Al." The cover art is a modified version of the original logo of Stephen Sondheim's 1979 broadway musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with just the man on the cover, the picture in color and on a red background and the knife replaced by a huge banner. The album's opening track, "Shine," would arguably become Collective Soul's biggest hit.
Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid was recorded in a basement in 1992 as a promotional demo. Frontman Ed Roland hoped to simply sell the songs to a publishing company rather than form a band. He gave the demo to a small college radio station in Atlanta which began playing "Shine." The track quickly became their most requested song and the band was asked to perform some concerts for the station. Favoring an opportunity to perform a few shows with his brother, Roland agreed and regathered the demo's guitarist and drummer as well as his brother Dean.
