David Rossington

Biography

David is Finance and Commercial Director of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

He was previously Finance Director of the Department for Communities and Local Government, where he also worked on strategy, communities and local government issues. Prior to joining DCLG, David was responsible for implementation of the Gershon Review on efficiency across the public sector. He has worked in the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Ministry of Agriculture, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the European Commission.

David holds a degree in History and French from Oxford, a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School, Harvard University, and an economics MSc from Birkbeck College, London. David is a qualified accountant (CIMA)
