The Wood is a 1999 romantic comedy, written by Rick Famuyiwa and Todd Boyd. Famuyiwa also directed the film, which stars Omar Epps, Richard T. Jones, and Taye Diggs.
Roland (Taye Diggs) is getting married (and is currently missing) and Slim (Richard T. Jones), who scoffs at the idea of marriage, is furious at Roland for disappearing. The story reminisces back to Mike's (Omar Epps, portrayed as a youth by Sean Nelson) first encounters with Roland (Trent Cameron) and Slim (Duane Finley), his first real crush on a girl named Alicia (Malinda Williams), and the three young men's misadventures as teenagers growing up in Inglewood, California ("The Wood"). Shy and awkward, Mike sticks out like a sore thumb on his first day, but is quickly befriended by Slim and Roland.
On a dare from Slim and Roland, Mike runs and grabs Alicia's butt, leading to a big fight with her big brother Stacey (De'Aundre Bonds), a Blood gang member. While he is thoroughly beat down, Mike earns Stacey's private respect for fighting back like a man. Meanwhile in present day, Mike and Slim go to find Roland for his wedding, when they get a call from Tanya (Tamala Jones) saying that she has him with her and that he is very drunk. They go to her house to pick him up to take him back to the wedding to marry his bride Lisa (LisaRaye McCoy) because they only have two hours before the ceremony begins.
Slacker Cats is an animated ABC Family series that premiered on August 13, 2007. It was created using Adobe Flash.
The show was initially marketed as a children's show, but in later advertising and in press kits issued to the media, it was clearly indicated that the show included a more adult tone and themes. The show's 10PM broadcast time further illustrated that its target was an adult audience. The program was rated TV-14.
Slacker Cats was animated by Film Roman, the same company that animates The Simpsons and King of the Hill. It features the voice talents of comedians Harland Williams and Sinbad in the lead roles. It was created by Andy Riley and Kevin Cecil, who also served as executive producers along with animation director Seth Kearsley, who designed the characters.
Slacker Cats was canceled on September 17, 2007 after 6 episodes. A second season premiered on the ABC Family website on January 19, 2009, and, according to its creators, will be released on iTunes and Xbox Live Marketplace. The second season was numbered as a continuation of the first season, episodes 7 through 12.
The Wood is the soundtrack to the 1999 film, The Wood. It was released on July 13, 1999 through Jive Records and consisted of hip hop and R&B music.
The soundtrack found a great deal of success, making it to #16 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and spawned four charting singles with music videos to promote the film: "Neck uv da Woods" by Mystikal and OutKast (directed by Little X), "I Wanna Know" by Joe (directed by Bille Woodruff), "Crave" by Marc Dorsey (directed by Tim Story) and "Think About You" by Blackstreet (directed by Malik Sayeed). The RIAA certified this soundtrack gold on August 25, 1999.
Babes in the Wood is a traditional children's tale, as well as a popular pantomime subject. It has also been the name of some other unrelated works. The expression has passed into common language, referring to inexperienced innocents entering unawares into any potentially dangerous or hostile situation. A number of child murder cases have been referred to in the media as the Babes in the Wood murders.
The traditional children's tale is of two children abandoned in a wood, who die and are covered with leaves by robins.
First published as an anonymous broadside ballad, printed by Thomas Millington in Norwich in 1595 with the title "The Norfolk gent his will and Testament and howe he Commytted the keepinge of his Children to his own brother whoe delte most wickedly with them and howe God plagued him for it". The tale has been reworked in many forms; it frequently appears attributed as a Mother Goose rhyme. The anonymous ballad was illustrated by Randolph Caldecott in a book published in 1879.
2point4 children originally aired from 1991 to 1999 on BBC 1 over 56 episodes, including five Christmas specials. It created by Andrew Marshall who wrote all episodes with the exception of three episodes from Series 7 which were written by Paul Alexander & Simon Braithwaite and Paul Smith. The show was originally directed and produced by Richard Boden, but the later series were directed by Nick Wood, Dewi Humphries and produced by Andrew Marshall.
A VHS release was made of the first three episodes of series one in 1996. Eureka Video began releasing the series on DVD, but insufficient sales meant only the first three series were released; no other plans have been made to release the remainder. 2Entertain have said that an insufficient volume of sales to recoup music clearance costs, the details of which have altered since the making of the series, and an unusually high visual clearance issue for a shot in Series 7 prompted a decision not to release any more at the present time.
Babes in the Wood is a British sitcom that aired on ITV from 1998 to 1999. Starring Karl Howman and Denise van Outen, Babes in the Wood was written by Geoff Deane, Paul Alexander, Simon Braithwaite, Ian Searle and Fleur Costello.
Babes in the Wood revolves around three women in their 20s who share a flat in St John's Wood in London. Leigh is streetwise and tough, while Ruth is bossy and Caralyn is bossy. In the flat next door lives Charlie Lovall, the former owner of a video shop whose divorce has cost him dear, although he still has his Porsche. Leigh works as a waitress for public school-educated Benito at the nearby Bar Coda. Ruth marries an old millionaire and leaves after the first series and is replaced by would be model Frankie.

The wicked way is steep, tortuous and full of threatening traps and tortures
Dark paths and deep quietness,
In the evil and envy's rooms,
Cold branches of a demoniac, animated and untameable nature,
Grip your hairs and scratch your face
Every way and solution seems to bring you to the edge
Of nothing and the edge of the end-life
This is the place of the macabre intentions and the ghost apparitions
This is the earth of stepmother's wind,
She blows thorns on her head untying toads and rats
In this gloomy chasm it's getting dark and I can feel the
Frozen lullaby's woods from the beyond
It's the obsession eve
I'm evoking the deep in the room of faith
Praying to come back to home
Whishpering lies, the obscure fate swallows every right route
Alice in darkland, on a liquid envelope of lies and fertile instability
Deceived from the miracles I even bring the blame
But when the day will take a new lease of life, our eyes
Will be disintoxicate from human horror and malice
Overdose; Perhaps it will happen tomorrow
Alice in darkland, on a liquid
Envelope of lies and fertile
Deceived from the miracles I even bring the blame
The wicked way is steep, tortuous and full of threatening
