Barrie-James O'Neill

Barrie-James O'Neill (born 20 December 1987) known by his stage name Nightmare Boy (often stylized as NiGHTMARE BOY), is an Scottish singer, songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland. O'Neill started songwriting at the age of 20. On 1 February 2014, as the founder and frontman of the band Kassidy, O'Neill, left the band and moved to Los Angeles, he adopted the stage name "Nightmare Boy" as a solo artist. He has released two singles and an EP.

Career

In 2013, During his time in Los Angeles, California, O'Neill had worked on variety projects. One of which was a collaboration with American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey on a duet of the song “Summer Wine,” made famous by Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra. His debut single "Mary", was released on February 17, 2014. On March 24, O'Neill released the four track extended play Hate online On May 8, 2014 O'Neill announced plans to launch a short film titled SCUMBaG. It was filmed in late 2013 to early 2014, directed by Joe Rubalcaba. The short film premiered on May 8, 2015. O'Neill and music producer Crada were rumored to be working together at a recording studio. On June 25, 2015, O'Neill stated on Twitter that his debut studio album 'Cold Coffee' is completed with thanks to Rob Schnapf.

Duties and functions

The holder is usually an experienced police officer, though some are politically appointed and may or may not actually be a professional officer. In such a case, there is usually a professional chief of police in charge of day-to-day operations. In either event, the commissioner is the designated head of the organization.

In police services of the UK, Commonwealth and USA, the title of commissioner typically designates the head of an entire police force.

A police commissioner should not be confused with a police commissary. In France, Spain and some Latin American countries "commissary" denotes the head of a single police station (analogous to a chief superintendent in UK and Commonwealth countries). However titles such as commissaire in French and comisario in Spanish can mean either commissioner or commissary in English, depending on the context.

O'Neill dynasty

The O'Neill dynasty (Irish: Ó Néill) is a group of families, ultimately all of Irish Gaelic origin, that have held prominent positions and titles in Ireland and elsewhere. As Chiefs of Cenél nEógain, they are historically the most prominent family of the Northern Uí Néill, along with the O'Donnell and O'Doherty. The O'Neills hold that their ancestors were Kings of Ailech during the Early Middle Ages, as descendants of Niall of the Nine Hostages.

A number of their progenitors and members are named as High Kings of Ireland, such as Niall Glúndub (from whom they take their name) and Domnall ua Néill. From 1185 until 1616, the O'Neills were sovereign Kings of Tír Eógain, holding territories in the north of Ireland; particularly around what is today County Tyrone. After their realm was merged with the Kingdom of Ireland and the land was caught up in the Plantation of Ulster, they were involved in a number of significant events, such as Tyrone's Rebellion, the Flight of the Earls, the Irish Rebellion of 1641 and the Irish Confederate Wars.
