Ōshima stable(大島部屋,Ōshima-beya?) was a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Tatsunami ichimon or group of stables. It was set up in 1980 by former ozekiAsahikuni, who branched off from Tatsunami stable. The head of Tatsunami stable opposed the setting up of the new stable, and did not speak to Oshima Oyakata until Asahifuji was promoted to ozeki in 1987. Oshima produced ten sekitori, nine of whom went on to reach the top makuuchi division (the tenth, Asahisho, only made his juryo debut in November 2011). Oshima's senior wrestler in later years was the Mongolian born veteran Kyokutenhō, who has Japanese citizenship and was seen as the successor to Oshima. However, after Kyokutenho indicated a desire to continue wrestling, the stable instead closed on 25 April 2012 when Oshima reached the mandatory retirement age of 65, with its wrestlers transferring to Tomozuna stable.
Most wrestlers' fighting names included the Chinese character "旭" meaning "sunrise", that can be read as either Asahi or Kyoku, taken from the founding stablemaster's shikona.[citation needed]

The most important thing to remember is to keep your opponents body as stable as possible in order to keep him or her from rolling through it. PFN endorses mixed martial arts as an art and a form of self defense and believes fighting should only take place in a a controlled environment as a sport and as a last resort to defend yourself or others from immediate harm.

A preliminary analysis of collected data had indicated that the reported armour damage was often greater than the one predicted by Hudson's formula.Three analitycal relations among the roundhead characteristics and the incident waves were found. The first two relations correlate respectively the corrective coefficient of KD (Hudson' formula for head) and the location of the most vulnerable head sector to a non dimensional parameter composed of the wave height H, the head radius R, the peak wave length at toe Lp and the water depth h.The last one gives the damage distribution along the roundhead related to the most damaged sector location and the parameters above mentioned. The results of this research will be presented at Coastal, Structures, Breakwater, 2005 ICE conf, London; "New criteria for the design of rubble mound breakwater roundheads" - Guiducci F., Pesce F.P., Franco L. Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, found in several parts of the world. There are eight different genera in the family classified as rabbits, including the European rabbit, cottontail rabbits, and theAmami rabbit, an endangered species on Amami Ōshima, . There are many other species of rabbit, and these, along with pikas and hares, make up the order Lagomorpha. The male is called a buck and the female is a doe; a young rabbit is a kitten or kit. Rabbit habitats include meadows, woods, forests, grasslands, deserts and wetlands.[1] Rabbits live in groups, and the best known species, theEuropean rabbit, lives in underground burrows, or rabbit holes. A group of burrows is called a warren.More than half the world's rabbit population resides in North America.[1] They are also native to southwestern Europe, Southeast Asia, Sumatra, some islands of Japan, and in parts of Africa and South America. They are not naturally found in most of Eurasia, where a number of species of hares are present. Rabbits first entered South America relatively recently, as part of the Great American Interchange. Much of the continent has just one species of rabbit, the tapeti, while most of South America's southern cone is without rabbits. The rabbit's long ears, which can be more than 10 cm (4 in) long, are probably an adaptation for detecting predators. They have large, powerful hind legs. The two front paws have 5 toes, the extra called the dewclaw. The hind feet have 4 toes. They are plantigrade animals while at rest; however, they move around on their toes while running, assuming a more digitigrade form. Wild rabbits do not differ much in their body proportions or stance, with full, egg-shaped bodies. Their size can range anywhere from 20 cm (8 in) in length and 0.4 kg in weight to 50 cm (20 in) and more than 2 kg. The fur is most commonly long and soft, with colors such as shades of brown, gray, and buff. The tail is a little plume of brownish fur (white on top forcottontails). Rabbits can see nearly 360degrees,with a small blind spot at the bridge of the nose. Rabbits are herbivores that feed by grazing on grass, forbs, and leafy weeds. In consequence, their diet contains large amounts of cellulose, which is hard to digest. Rabbits solve this problem by passing two distinct types of feces: hard droppings and soft black viscous pellets, the latter of which are known as caecotrophs and are immediately eaten (a behaviour known as coprophagy).

We present a model of hepatic colorectal metastases which represents monoclonal cell lines double-labeled by luciferase and tdTomato. These cells form liver metastasis in varying numbers and patterns similar to those observed in patients. Using in vivo and ex vivo luminescent and fluorescent imaging we determine the growth kinetics and clonogenic frequency of tumor cells colonizing liver. Molecular profiling detected stable expressional differences between clones consistent with their phenotypes. The data indicate that clinically relevant phenotypes of liver metastases can be modeled in vivo.

Roundhead stability reseach: Model 1 -- Solution 1
Roundhead stability reseach: Model 1 -- Solution 1
Hs =5.71m , Ts=11.56 s, rock armour (7-10 t)
An experimental study on a pre-existing 1:50 physical model was perfomed in the coastal on-shore tank in the LIC- Bari laboratory (during summer 2004) within a research about a stability of rubble mound breakwater roundheads. The research started in 2003 by analysing the results of a number of available technical reports of 3D physical models tests (Antifer, Cubes and Rock armour) and a field data concerning damaged rubble heads at Ostia-Rome marina breakwaters. (accepted publication).
