A time filled with sweet games and good clean fun. But as we all know, childhood is actually full of totally inappropriate games that should not be played by under 18s. Or by anyone, in certain cases. These inappropriate childhood games are often the ones we remember the best as we get older, because they were the times when lifelong memories were made. Sometimes these memories are good, but sometimes they’re downright awful. Kissing games like Spin The Bottle and Suck And Blow are often played by adults. When you’re a grown man or woman, it’s no big deal to play games that involve touching tongues with someone else. But when you’re a child, these kinds of games are pretty inappropriate. They can also cause serious embarrassment. Like when the bottle lands on you and the spinner is totally repulsed by the thought of locking lips with you. Ground, swallow me up now. Then there are the physical games that seem like a great way for kids to exercise, but are actually a great opportunity for someone to break a limb. We’re talking dangerous playground games like Red Rover. Or dangerous school sports like Dodgeball. Some are considered to be so inappropriate they’ve been banned by certain summer camps and schools. Other physically dangerous childhood games like Choke have even led to fatalities. Who remembers silly games such as Sock’em Boppers? Wearing huge inflatable gloves might look like innocent fun, but some parents were concerned they actually encourage violence. Of course on the subject of violent games for kids, video games like Grand Theft Auto have caused huge controversy when children play them. In a part of the UK, parents were even warned by schools that they would be reported to the police and social services if their kids were allowed access to such inappropriate video games.
