Courage Campaign fights to hold our political leaders and most powerful corporations accountable to the will of the people.

SIGN THE PETITION: Demand California's GOP leaders reject Trump’s violence now!

It’s a disgrace that any of our country’s elected leaders would do anything other than speak out and wholeheartedly disavow the violence stirred up by Trump’s hate and bigotry, especially those who represent California -- the most diverse state in the nation. The fact that House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and other GOP leaders are trying to put a positive spin on Trump is not only irresponsible and out of touch, it’s dangerous.

SIGN THE PETITION: Stop anti-choice extremist attacks on CA women

Anti-choice extremists are waging an all-out war against women in California. For years, they’ve set up fake abortion clinics across California, deceptively called Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs), which pose as medical facilities and use coercion and shame to limit women’s access to accurate information about abortion and reproductive healthcareGovernor Jerry Brown signed a law last year to help stop CPCs deceptive practices, but now anti-choice bullies are launching legal attacks to scare local authorities from enforcing the law.

Demand an investigation into the Oakland police killing of Hernan Jaramillo!

Oakland police killed Hernan Jaramillo and hid the video of his killing from the public for 2 and half years. The officers beat him to the ground in street, dragged his body 20 feet, and pinned him down with all of their weight on top him -- ignoring him as he repeatedly cried out, “I can’t breathe...they’re killing me,” for 15 minutes -- until his body laid lifeless on the sidewalk in handcuffs.

Tell CA Legislature: Support emergency legislation to prevent next LA gas leak

The massive gas leak in LA's Porter Ranch neighborhood was the worst environmental disaster since the BP oil spill. It further exposed our state’s failed oversight and slow emergency response, the weak laws governing regulation of gas storage facilities that led to this disaster, and our over dependence on fossil fuels and methods of extreme oil extraction.

Tell the EPA and President Obama: Shut down the Porter Ranch gas leak NOW!

The massive gas leak in Los Angeles is a ticking time bomb that is spiraling out of control and continues to poison local residents with cancer-causing chemicals, while releasing enormous amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. It’s time for our national authorities to step in before it’s too late.

Tell the South Coast Air Quality Management District to shut down the Porter Ranch gas leak NOW!

The South Coast Air Quality Management District -- a local agency that regulates air pollution -- has the authority to shut down the Aliso Canyon Storage Facility responsible for the leak. And we need to raise our voices loud and clear to make sure they SHUT IT DOWN NOW!

Stop potential terrorists from buying guns!

Enough with this madness. If the FBI considers you too dangerous to board a plane, you should not be able to purchase a gun. Period.

Tell Gov. Jerry Brown to declare Porter Ranch gas leak as state of emergency

Los Angeles County has already declared a state of emergency as SoCalGas scrambles to stop the ongoing gas leak at its Aliso Canyon Storage Facility near Porter Ranch. The City Attorney of Los Angeles even filed a lawsuit against SoCalGas for creating “unlivable” conditions. This gas leak is spiraling out of control!

This is our chance to restore and protect the San Francisco Bay!

The Clean and Healthy Bay ballot initiative may be the greatest opportunity in a generation for Bay Area residents to create a healthy and sustainable future for our children and grandchildren.

How can we beat the NRA? Go straight to the voters.

Gun violence in America is out of control. We cannot sit back while Congress refuses to act.

There is a 2016 ballot initiative in California that can set the gold standard for meaningful reforms to stop gun violence, creating a model that could be applied everywhere.
