In the meeting that was held to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in Gautam Budh Nagar, the RWA members raised the issue of increasing crime rate in both Noida and Greater Noida, traffic mess leading to huge jams as a result of unmanned signals and lack of proper vigilance, the Khoda area in sector 61 which houses major population of floating (unverified) labour in the city, lack of police strength and equipment for the force.

"There is an immediate need for effective law and order (security) measures in the city as residents are tired of daily car-jacking, chain/mobile snatching, and general decoity incidents with no proper action from the police," said N P Singh, president FONRWA.

According to Suresh Tiwari, senior vice president FONRWA most residents felt that the fear of police was missing in the city what with the lax attitude of officials and brazen acts of continued theft by criminals.

A need for digital control room in Noida was also raised. "Presently, even though police control room has been set up, yet the same has not been provided with all the requisite digital facilities so as to monitor appropriate mapping of the necessary locations," said A N Dhawan, secretary general FONRWA.
