Chuck is the third studio album from Canadian rock band Sum 41. The album was released on October 12, 2004. It is the band's last album to feature lead guitarist Dave Baksh. He left the band on May 11, 2006 to pursue his own career with his new band Brown Brigade.
The album is named after a UN peacekeeper Chuck Pelletier, who was in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where the band was filming a documentary for War Child Canada. Fighting broke out during the filming and Chuck helped the band evacuate from their hotel during the fighting (Chuck was staying in the same hotel during that time). The album received positive reviews from critics, and it won a Juno Award in 2005 for Best Rock Album of the Year. The album was certified gold in Japan, platinum in Canada and gold in the United States. In an online poll, "Pieces" was voted the favorite song, with "We're All to Blame" coming in second.
All songs written and composed by Sum 41.
Chuck Acoustic EP (Tour Edition Promo) is an acoustic EP released by Sum 41 in 2005 in Japan only. It was released after the release of the album Chuck with the Japanese tour edition of the album.
Today it's too late
How long do we have to wait
Oh no, I think she knows
That's why I can't let go
I feel this burning inside
A feeling that no one should know
This could be so good again
I'd wait here till then
But not with this
So now I'll leave with
No apologies
I never thought you'd be so
Easily deceived
Now I'll just hang my head
(Falling further out of place)
While I walk with the dead
(All the lies I can't erase)
I'll just hang my head
We're mad with regret
Memories that we'll both forget
So far it's been so hard
To cover up these scars
I see this falling apart
It's easy to just let it go
No luck between us both
So why keep waiting
But not with this
So now I'll leave with
No apologies
I never thought you'd be so
Easily deceived
Now I'll just hang my head
(Falling further out of place)
While I walk with the dead
(All the lies I can't erase)
I'll just hang my head
What's left to show?
It's so bad but I got to know
What's right don't know
How to find it out on my own?
(And here we go)
One by one we both fall down
Who's the first one to hit the ground now
(And here we go)
What's worse taking the fall or be stuck standing alone
(And here we go)
I'll keep your promises if you
Take back every thing I said
(And here we go)
I find its got so cold now that I've lost my heart and soul
No apologies
I never thought you'd be so
Easily deceived
Now I'll just hang my head
(Falling further out of place)
While I walk with the dead
(All the lies I can't erase)
I'll just hang my head
