Need for Speed is a racing video game franchise. It's also a phrase showing a desire to go fast, usually in a vehicle, such as a race car; popularized in the 1986 film Top Gun. It may also refer to:
Need for Speed is an open world racing video game developed by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts, released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2015, and to be released for Microsoft Windows in 2016. It is the twenty-second installment in the long-running Need for Speed series, and was a full reboot of the franchise. It marks the series' second eighth generation installment, and was the first Need for Speed title to only be on eighth generation hardware. It marks the franchise's first return to the import scene and tuner culture focus since the release of 2010's Need for Speed: World.
The first gameplay footage of the pre-alpha build for Need for Speed was revealed at EA's press conference at E3 on June 15, 2015. The E3 presentation shows a part of the story, followed by the customization of a Subaru BRZ which showed the new and improved customization system, and the 'action camera' which was later to revealed to be one of the five different camera angles. There are five different gameplay types: Speed, Style, Crew, Build, and Outlaw where players can earn points for engaging in to progress in the game through five overlapping storylines. Need for Speed takes place in the fictional city of Ventura Bay and its surroundings which is based on Los Angeles.
Road & Track Presents: The Need for Speed, later released in Japan as Road & Track Presents: Over Drivin', is a 1994 racing video game first released on the 3DO and then ported over to DOS, PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It is the first installment released in the Need for Speed series. The premise of the game involves racing in sport cars, including several exotic models and Japanese imports.
The game was noted for its realism and audio and video commentaries. Electronic Arts teamed up with automotive magazine Road & Track to match vehicle behavior, including the mimicking of the sounds made by the vehicles' gear control levers. The game also contained precise vehicle data with spoken commentary, several "magazine style" images of each car interior and exterior and even short video clips highlighting the vehicles set to music.
The game featured both closed circuits and three point-to-point tracks, each divided into three stages. For the latter, traffic vehicles appear in races. Police pursuits are also a key gameplay mechanic, in which the player could be ticketed or arrested after a police car succeeded in catching up with the player. Players are arrested if he/she received a third police ticket, while the Sega Saturn version only required two tickets for the player to be arrested. Completing the tournaments (or entering a cheat) unlocks the "rally" mode, where car dynamics are changed to make for a faster 'arcade' experience, as well as the "Warrior PTO E/2", a fictional jet-powered sports car.
No Limits, also known as No Limits!, is the second studio album by Dutch Eurodance band 2 Unlimited. As their British record company PWL were dissatisfied with Ray Slijngaard's raps, the British version of this album replaced most of the raps with instrumental parts. No Limits yielded five singles and went platinum in several countries.
2 Unlimited had limited success in 1992 with their debut album Get Ready!. It had produced four hit singles, but the album had not performed well commercially, peaking at just #37 in the UK. At the time, many eurodance acts were able to produce hit singles but were unable to capitalize on this with a commercially successful album. 2 Unlimited, however, broke the mould.
At the end of 1992, 2 Unlimited were still only known amongst those who followed chart music at the time. With the first single listed from this album, this changed. It went to number 1 in the UK in early February (competing with "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston), and spent five weeks there. This exposure lead to them being parodied by the mainstream media with the television series Spitting Image parodying the track as "No Lyrics" due to its repetitive lyrical content. The second single, "Tribal Dance", was released in May 1993, and then this album followed soon afterwards.
NoLimits Roller Coaster Simulation is a software package available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X designed and built by a team of programmers and artists led by German programmer Ole Lange. It was first released in November 2001. The package includes two separate pieces of software, the NoLimits Editor and NoLimits Simulator, with a third application, the NoLimits Terraformer supported as well.
The "NoLimits Editor" allows the design of a roller coaster with surrounding scenery. Track editing is based on adjacent bézier curves and allows nearly infinite design possibilities all packed in a CAD-based graphical user interface. Scenery objects can be placed in the editor, provided they are of the .3ds format. The software allows a number of popular roller coaster types to be designed, based on industrially engineered designs.
The "Simulator" allows the designed roller coaster to be viewed in full 3D, either riding the roller coaster like a rider, or watching it in a third person perspective, from a fixed position or behind the roller coaster train. 3D acceleration is provided by OpenGL. It is also possible to view technical information, such as "speed" and "G-forces". These measurements are nearly exact to real-life situations.
No Limits is the fifteenth extended play (and first of original material) recorded by Puerto Rican-American rock band Boyce Avenue. It was released to digital retailers April 22, 2014 through the band's independent label 3 Peace Records. In May 2014, No Limits entered the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart at No. 14.
In the four years since the band's last official release (2010's All We Have Left), Boyce Avenue has become the most-subscribed-to and third most-watched band on YouTube due to their popular covers of contemporary pop hits, and has been extensively touring across the globe, including opening for select dates on One Direction's Up All Night Tour. Returning to their roots of writing and producing original songs, the band began recording original material in 2013. One of these new songs, "One Life" was released in November 2013, with all proceeds from digital downloads of the song going to the charity organization Pencils of Promise.
Distributed independently through the band's 3 Peace Records after they left Universal Records in August 2011, No Limits was written, recorded, and produced by the Manzano brothers. The EP contains a more electronic and pop-influenced sound than their signature acoustic rock, including a collaboration with EDM producer Milkman. Frontman Alejandro stated in a release for their GMA appearance that the EP "showcases our experiences these past few years" and that pop music has "really inspired the direction of our music."

Sometimes I have this scary dream
In my head
Apocalyptic scenes
It makes my instincts mad
Surrounded by machinery
The warheads never ever rest
It's an untrustful century
So open up
You hold the key in your hand
Unlock the door to the future
You hold the key in your hand
The end of all the torture
And all the time I wake and scream
Where's a lead
Assassinated hopes
They make my body bleed
We're running out of energy
How did we generate this mess
Made ourselves the enemy
So open up
Nobody's there to help - we're just
On our own
The epidemics rage
We rally to the call
We're the leaders of our destiny
It's the only other chance we've got
Why are we unable mentally
To open up
You hold the key in your hand
Never say no one told ya
You hold the key in your hand
I hope the message will reach ya
