On 25/12/2014, I did a journey from Vasai Road to Diva by Recently Inaugurated DEMU. It was inaugurated on 13/12/2014 and its Inaugural Video can be seen as follows; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj0-pxhJsXk The description can be read as follows; 1) Just after accelerating from Vasai Road, my DEMU had a great paralllel run with 12932 Ahmedabad Mumbai Central Double Decker AC Express. 2) A coverage of Spacious Interior, Cushioned Seats and broad corridors of DEMU with an entry into Juchandra station. 3) Accelerating from Kaman Road 4) Departing from Kharbav 5) A coverage from Bhiwandi to Diva ( Thundering through Ulhas River Bridge, arriving and also superbly accelerating Kopar station) 6) Walking through the interconnected corridors of the DEMU. We arrive at Diva outer near the main line of Central Railway. You can see EMU running at full speed. Ernakulam Hazrat Nizamuddin Mangala Lakshadweep Express takes a curve. Mumbai Cst Fast EMU does good speed too. Another slow EMU proceeds towards Dombivli at good speed. Mighty EMD monster with mammoth load slows down due to a red signal. 7) Pune Kamakhya Premium Special with offlink CNB WAG-7 bends a curve, crosses my DEMU and overtakes a freight load. Finally we got a starter after being made to wait for 20mins and once again another slow EMU does good speed. Railfan Sriram SN was with me that day. DEMU is Diesel - Electric Multiple Unit running on electric traction motors and are used for running in Semi-Urban and Rural areas usually for daily commuter traffic. The old Push Pull train has now given way to DEMU from 15/12/2014. Almost 3 rakes of DEMU have been given. So I hope the frequency of these trains on Diva - Vasai route should increase since this route has become very busy and runs jampacked. Camera: SONY HDR PJ50E
