These places have a tough climate, impenetrable forests and the no civilization. No one would wish to live here. No one except these people. Others would be frightened by the lack of roads but these people appreciate the freedom of movement. The vacuum of information preserves the tranquility of their souls. They do not have ID cards, salaries or pensions. Formally they do not exist at all. But in reality, they live here. They live happily and independently from the state, and they are able to enjoy the authentic beauty of nature in the Tuvan Republic every day.

Суровый климат, непроходимые леса, отсутствие цивилизации. В таких условиях по доброй воле жить не захочет никто. Никто, кроме этих людей. Они видят не бездорожье, а свободу передвижения, не информационный вакуум, а душевное спокойствие. У них нет паспортов, зарплат, пенсий. Формально они не существуют. Но фактически - живут здесь. Живут счастливо и независимо от государства, каждый день любуясь неподдельной красотой природы республики Тува.
Наша съемочная группа прожила в Туве целый год. За это время мы охотились в горах Тоджи с оленеводами. Ставили силки в дремучей тайге вместе со староверами. Приручали диких лошадей и верблюдов с чабанами. Мы очутились в незнакомом, но прекрасном мире. И поняли, в чем смысл жизни этих свободных народов.

Official orcherstra of the tuvan ministry of culture. The song is dedicated to Kul Tigin (Kül (Köl, Gül, Göl) Tigin (Tegin)[Prince Kul] Khan Bengü İnançu Apa Tarkan) 闕特勒 (685 - 731 or 732 CE) was a famous general of the Second Kaganate of "Kök Türük". He was a second son of legendary Ilterish Shad (Kutlugh) and the younger brother of Bilge Kagan.

When the blue sky above and the dark earth below were created, between the two were created the sons of men. Above the sons of men were upraised my ancestors Boumin kagan and Istemi kagan. Having become masters, they governed and established the empire and the institutions of the Turkic people. In the four corners of the world they had many enemies, but making expeditions with armies, they submitted and pacified many peoples in the four corners of the world; they made them bow their heads and bend their knees; they made them settle in front (i.e., towards the east) as far as the forest of Kadirkan, and in the rear (i.e., to the west) as far as the Iron Gate. So far between these two (farthest points) the Blue Turks extended themselves as sovereigns. They were wise kagans, they were vigilant kagans; all their officers were wise, were vigilant; all their nobles, their entire people, were just. That is why they were able to govern such a great empire and, in governing the empire, provide laws. They in turn passed away. Crying and lamenting came from the front, from the direction of the rising sun, the powerful peoples of the desert (i.e., foreigners?), the Chinese, the Tibetans, the Apar and Apourim, the Kirghiz, the Three-Kourikans, the Thirty-Tatars, the Kitai, the Tatabi-all these peoples came to lament and cry: so vigilant had been these kagans. After this their younger brothers became kagans, and their sons became kagans; but then the younger brothers were not made like their older brothers, the sons were not made like their fathers. Kagans without wisdom, weak kagans came to the throne; their officers were all without wisdom, were weak. And as their nobles and their people were [?], and because of (the amenity and the charm?) of the Chinese people, and of (its insinuation?), and as the (partisans of?) the younger brothers and the (partisans of?) the older brothers organised plots against one another, and that those who supported the nobles and those who supported the people experienced quarrels against one another, the Turkic people brought about the dissolution of its empire, which had become its empire, and brought about the ruin of its kagan, which had become its kagan. The sons of the nobles became slaves of the Chinese people, their pure daughters became their serfs. The nobles of the Turks abandoned their Turkic titles and, bearing the chinese titles of the dignitaries of China , submitted themselves to the chinese kagan and promised him for fifty years their labour and their force. In front, towards the rising sun, they made expeditions as far as the mighty kagan; behind (i.e., towards the west) they made expeditions as far as the Iron Gate ; but to the chinese kagan they delivered their empire and their institutions. But collectively the tiny Turkic people spoke thus: 'I have been a people with its own empire; where (now) is the glory(?) of my empire? To whom will I win an empire?'-thus they spoke. 'I have been a people that had its own kagan; where (now) is my kagan? To which kagan will I promise my labour and my force?'-thus they spoke. Thus speaking they made themselves the enemies of the Chinese kagan. Having become their enemies, they took up anew the hope of confederating and organising themselves. But as all of these no longer thought of promising them their work and their force, they (i.e., the Chinese) said: 'I wish to kill the Turkic people and will render it without posterity', and they set off to annihilate them. But the god of the Turks above in the sky and the spirit saints of the earth and the water of the Turks did as follows: so that the Turkic people should not be annihilated, and so that they could again become a people, they raised by father the kagan Elteres and my mother the katan Ilbilge, holding them at the peak of the sky. My father the kagan set off with twenty-seven men, and hearing the sound that he has come out and is moving forward, those who had been in the towns, went up into the mountains, and those who had been in the mountains descended, and having been reunited, they were seventy men. Kongar-ol Ondar and his student Bady-Dorzhu Ondar appear on the Chevy Chase show, October 1 1993.
Kongar-ol Ondar passed away July 24, 2013 in his beloved country of Tuva as a result of complications after emergency surgery for a hemorrhage of the brain. Needless to say, this comes as a shock to all those who knew him and all those who enjoyed his music. Thankfully, we still have his recordings to remember him by.

The Tyva Republic (Russian: Респу́блика Тыва́, tr. Respublika Tyva; IPA: [rʲɪˈspublʲɪkə tɨˈva]; Tuvan: Тыва Республика, Tyva Respublika), or Tuva (Russian: Тува́), is a federal subject of Russia (a republic). It lies in the geographical center of Asia, in southern Siberia. The republic borders with the Altai Republic, the Republic of Khakassia, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Irkutsk Oblast, and the Republic of Buryatia in Russia and with Mongolia to the south. Its capital is the city of Kyzyl. Population: 307,930 (2010 Census).
Forests, mountains, and steppe make up a large part of the geography.
A majority of the people are Tuvans who speak the Tuvan language, but Russian is also spoken extensively. Tuva is governed by the Great Khural which elects a chairman for a four-year term. The current chairman is Sholban Kara-ool.
The republic is situated in the far south of Siberia. Its capital city of Kyzyl is located near the geographic "center of Asia". The eastern part of the republic is forested and elevated, and the west is a drier lowland.

Kongar-ol Ondar and his student Bady-Dorzhu Ondar appear on the Chevy Chase show, October 1 1993. Kongar-ol Ondar passed away July 24, 2013 in his beloved country of Tuva as a result of complications after emergency surgery for a hemorrhage of the brain. Needless to say, this comes as a shock to all those who knew him and all those who enjoyed his music. Thankfully, we still have his recordings to remember him by. -

He was a second son of legendary Ilterish Shad (Kutlugh) and the younger brother of Bilge Kagan.

Kongar-ol Ondar passed away July 24, 2013 in his beloved country of Tuva as a result of complications after emergency surgery for a hemorrhage of the brain. Needless to say, this comes as a shock to all those who knew him and all those who enjoyed his music. Thankfully, we still have his recordings to remember him by.

Tuva Sunrise (Orchestral Documentary)
Tuva Sunrise is a piece I composed in February 2013. Tuva is a region in southern Siberia. Tuvan Throat singing is a musical art form where the performers are singing 2 notes at the same time. A base tone and overtones simultaneously. There are different schools of throat singing and all sound different. Historically it reaches way back in Mongolian, Inner Mongolia, and Tuvan history. This style of singing is often performed by male sheep herders. The open landscape of Mongolia allows for the sounds to carry a great distance and often singers of this style will travel great distances to find the right landcape to produce the proper resonance of sound. Cera's Walking Tour
Cera did a guided walking tour while she was in London. We walked from Trafalgar Square to St. James' Palace to Buckingham Palace. We saw the guards preparing to march from St. James' Palace (I think that's where Princess Ann lives...Prince Charles' sister). Then we marched along with the guards as they went to Buckingham Palace for the world famous Changing of the Guards. This is Cera's BEST video. This was out tour guide, and at first one may think he's harsh, but as time went on, we got to find out that it was part of the "show". Rather interesting. He made us call him "Sir" Cera thought he was really good and wanted to take her Uncle there to see him too, but early mornings are not a thing for either Cera nor Dennis :o) -

Tuva Sunrise is a piece I composed in February 2013. Tuva is a region in southern Siberia. Tuvan Throat singing is a musical art form where the performers are singing 2 notes at the same time. A base tone and overtones simultaneously. There are different schools of throat singing and all sound different. Historically it reaches way back in Mongolian, Inner Mongolia, and Tuvan history. This style of singing is often performed by male sheep herders. The open landscape of Mongolia allows for the sounds to carry a great distance and often singers of this style will travel great distances to find the right landcape to produce the proper resonance of sound.
This piece was composed using Logic Pro 9 as the DAW:
Tuvan sounds are the Omnisphere Pack. Everything is Logic Pro 9 sounds with Drums of War and Mirislov Philharmonic patches.
This picture was taken by me in Joshua Tree National Park. Nikon D300s and edited with Lightroom 5 using Nik Software.

foreign surfers.
Australian surfers discovered Sanur when they were looking for new places to surf. Today over 10 surf
paradises are located on the island of Bali especially on the southern coasts. Of course in the clear
warm waters of the Indian Ocean, other sports can also be done. For example, jet ski and parasailing.
That is a parachute towed by a motorboat. Many people fish here hoping to catch something special

Filadelfia Kristiansand støtter et voksende menighetsarbeid i byen Kyzyl, i den russiske republikken Tuva. Republikken Tuva ligger helt sør i Sibir, mot grensen til Mongolia. Den er en av tre buddhistiske autonome republikker i Russland. I tillegg til å være et senter for Buddhismen, er også Kyzyl kjent som et senter for Shamanisme. Republikken har 350.000 innbyggere og i hovedstaden Kyzyl bor det ca 110.000 mennesker.
Befolkningen består hovedsakelig av Tuvinere. Et folkeslag med røtter langt tilbake, og et utseende og tradisjon som har mye til felles med mongolene.
Fra tidligere opphold i Russland, hadde kristiansanderen Tor Arild Svanes kontakt med en menighet i Kyzyl. Vinteren 2005 reiste han tilbake til byen for å hjelpe til med arbeidet. Tor Arild ble raskt en del av lederskapet og en sentral medarbeider i menigheten.
Den 1. juni 2007 giftet han seg med Anja, en tidligere bekjent av han og familien.
Sammen fikk de lille Maria 11 Juli 2008. Familien har nå bosatt seg fast i Kyzyl og Tor Arild har overtatt som hovedpastor for menigheten. I dag er det mellom 100 150 mennesker på gudstjenestene, totalt har menigheten ca 200 medlemmer. De siste årene har arbeidet vokst betydelig og lokalet midt i byen ble for lite. De har bygget på kirken og utvidet kirkesalen, og har nå plass til 250-300 møtebesøkende.
Menigheten driver misjonsvirksomhet i 7 andre byen og landsbyer i regionen. Hvert år har de dåp av nyfrelste. De driver et rehabiliterings senter for rusmisbrukere, om vinteren driver de suppekjøkken for de fattige, og på forskjellige måter betjener de ulike behov i byen.

Then we marched along with the guards as they went to Buckingham Palace for the world famous Changing of the Guards.
This is Cera's BEST video. This was out tour guide, and at first one may think he's harsh, but as time went on, we got to find out that it was part of the "show". Rather interesting. He made us call him "Sir" Cera thought he was really good and wanted to take her Uncle there to see him too, but early mornings are not a thing for either Cera nor Dennis :o)

In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Kratovo was famous for its interesting architecture, bridges, gold and silver and 12 towers until 1836 when the town began to deteriorate and decay. Quite a few organizations are now trying to rebuild and revitalize this small town but it was now time for a humungous. lunch time spread.
Led by local guides, a 76 year old, traditionally dressed bagpiper piped us into an area where lunch had been cooked and laid by the guide's wife. Lunch for those who wanted to chow down was 480 Dinar (less than $10 a person) and included Shopska salad, a baked bean casserole called - Tauche Gravche, a vegetable casserole called - Turli Tuva (loved the names), spinach and cheese pies similar to Borek, bread, wine, dessert. There was a lot of food on this table and the only chance during "Ancient Macedonia" tour to actually eat a typically Macedonia spread. Yum-O...
The bagpiper was so charismatic as he "squeezed out" several long tunes, sang, and gave blessings while Goran did his best to translate. A perfect ending to the group visit in Kratovo.
