Gibran Rakabuming Raka merupakan putra sulung dari Joko Widodo, presiden Republik Indonesia periode 2014-2019. Gibran yang lahir di Solo pada 1 Oktober 1987 ini menghabiskan pendidikan dasarnya di kota batik ini. Namun saat lulus SMP, dia melanjutkan pendidikannya di Singapura tepatnya di Orchid Park Secondari School di tahun 2002. Kemudian setelah lulus SMA, di menempuh pendidikan di Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS). Selepas lulus di universitas tersebut, Gibran masih ingin berkuliah lagi hingga membuatnya melanjutkan studinya di University of Technology Insearch, Sydney, Australia hingga lulus di tahun 2010.
Setelah lulus, bukan berarti dia bekerja di bidang teknologi sesuai jurusannya saat kuliah. Sebab di tahun 2010 dia mendirikan usaha katering yang diberi nama Chilli Pari. Usahanya ini kemudian mengantarkannya menduduki jabatan sebagai ketua Asosiasi Perusahaan Jasa Boga Indonesia (APJBI) Kota Solo.
Di bulan Juni 2015, Gibran menikahi mantan Putri Solo yang bernama Selvi Ananda. Selvi sendiri lahir di Solo pada 9 Januari 1989.

Single : "Salahkah Mencintaimu"
Lewat usaha panjang dan tidak gampang menyerah, band asal kota Sukabumi, Jawa Barat, Gibran's, akhirnya berkesempatan merilis single perdana mereka yang berjudul "Salahkah Mencintaimu". Masih mengambil tema cinta, single dengan balutan pop Melayu modern ini dimajukan sebagai jagoan dari album mereka yang tengah digarap. Bagi band yang beranggotakan M. Iqbal Tawakkal (vokal), Andes Maulana dan Eky Nur Ramdhani (gitar), Teguh Sabda Nurasa (bas), serta Reza Kridaswara (drum), mendapat kepercayaan dari Big Indie Nagaswara adalah kesempatan emas yang patut mereka syukuri.
"Ini memang sudah menjadi impian aku dan teman-teman sejak lama. Kita berterimakasih kepada Pak Rahayu dari Nagaswara yang sudah memberi jalan bagi Gibran's untuk berkembang," ujar Reza, drummer band itu.
Meski memilih warna pop Melayu modern untuk single "Salahkah Mencintaimu", termasuk menggemari band Wali dan ST 12, para personil Gibran's tidak ingin dikotakkan sebagai band dengan aliran tertentu. Pendek kata, semua jenis musik ingin dicoba band ini. Pilihan mereka pada warna pop Melayu modern lebih dikarenakan warna tersebut sedang digemari saat ini.
"Basic kita dulu justru bermain di pop alternatif. Setelah membuat pop Melayu, ke depan kita akan coba membuat lagu-lagu dengan warna yang lain," kata Reza.
Diawali dengan membentuk band bernama Candy di tahun 2007, Reza dan rekan-rekannya kemudian menggaet Andes sebagai personil baru, dan merubah nama band mereka menjadi Gibran's. Mudah ditebak, selain berharap dapat menulis lagu-lagu yang puitis layaknya karya penulis asal Lebanon Kahlil Gibran, nama Gibran's juga disarikan dari bahasa Yunani yang berarti "kesatria laki-laki yang dikagumi".
Malang melintang dari panggung ke panggung, dari satu pertunjukan ke pertunjukan lain, dalam setahun terakhir, nama Gibran's cukup dikenal di kampung halaman mereka di Sukabumi dan sekitar Bandung. Nasib baik kemudian mempertemukan mereka dengan produser Nagaswara, Rahayu Kertawiguna.
Siap melangkah ke tengah ketatnya persaingan industri musik Tanah Air, Gibran's percaya memiliki nilai lebih yang membedakan mereka dengan band-band lain. Selain ditunjang materi lagu yang bagus, berada di bawah Nagaswara, membuka keyakinan mereka untuk sukses seperti Wali band.
"Mudah-mudahan kehadiran kita tidak mengecewakan dan bisa diterima," harap Andes yang diiyakan para personil Gibran's lain. (PR)

Gibran yang lahir di Solo pada 1 Oktober 1987 ini menghabiskan pendidikan dasarnya di kota batik ini. Namun saat lulus SMP, dia melanjutkan pendidikannya di Singapura tepatnya di Orchid Park Secondari School di tahun 2002. Kemudian setelah lulus SMA, di menempuh pendidikan di Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS). Selepas lulus di universitas tersebut, Gibran masih ingin berkuliah lagi hingga membuatnya melanjutkan studinya di University of Technology Insearch, Sydney, Australia hingga lulus di tahun 2010.
Setelah lulus, bukan berarti dia bekerja di bidang teknologi sesuai jurusannya saat kuliah. Sebab di tahun 2010 dia mendirikan usaha katering yang diberi nama Chilli Pari. Usahanya ini kemudian mengantarkannya menduduki jabatan sebagai ketua Asosiasi Perusahaan Jasa Boga Indonesia (APJBI) Kota Solo.

Lewat usaha panjang dan tidak gampang menyerah, band asal kota Sukabumi, Jawa Barat, Gibran's, akhirnya berkesempatan merilis single perdana mereka yang berjudul "Salahkah Mencintaimu". Masih mengambil tema cinta, single dengan balutan pop Melayu modern ini dimajukan sebagai jagoan dari album mereka yang tengah digarap. Bagi band yang beranggotakan M. Iqbal Tawakkal (vokal), Andes Maulana dan Eky Nur Ramdhani (gitar), Teguh Sabda Nurasa (bas), serta Reza Kridaswara (drum), mendapat kepercayaan dari Big Indie Nagaswara adalah kesempatan emas yang patut mereka syukuri.
"Ini memang sudah menjadi impian aku dan teman-teman sejak lama. Kita berterimakasih kepada Pak Rahayu dari Nagaswara yang sudah memberi jalan bagi Gibran's untuk berkembang," ujar Reza, drummer band itu.
Meski memilih warna pop Melayu modern untuk single "Salahkah Mencintaimu", termasuk menggemari band Wali dan ST 12, para personil Gibran's tidak ingin dikotakkan sebagai band dengan aliran tertentu. Pendek kata, semua jenis musik ingin dicoba band ini. Pilihan mereka pada warna pop Melayu modern lebih dikarenakan warna tersebut sedang digemari saat ini.
"Basic kita dulu justru bermain di pop alternatif. Setelah membuat pop Melayu, ke depan kita akan coba membuat lagu-lagu dengan warna yang lain," kata Reza.
Diawali dengan membentuk band bernama Candy di tahun 2007, Reza dan rekan-rekannya kemudian menggaet Andes sebagai personil baru, dan merubah nama band mereka menjadi Gibran's. Mudah ditebak, selain berharap dapat menulis lagu-lagu yang puitis layaknya karya penulis asal Lebanon Kahlil Gibran, nama Gibran's juga disarikan dari bahasa Yunani yang berarti "kesatria laki-laki yang dikagumi".
Malang melintang dari panggung ke panggung, dari satu pertunjukan ke pertunjukan lain, dalam setahun terakhir, nama Gibran's cukup dikenal di kampung halaman mereka di Sukabumi dan sekitar Bandung. Nasib baik kemudian mempertemukan mereka dengan produser Nagaswara, Rahayu Kertawiguna.
Siap melangkah ke tengah ketatnya persaingan industri musik Tanah Air, Gibran's percaya memiliki nilai lebih yang membedakan mereka dengan band-band lain. Selain ditunjang materi lagu yang bagus, berada di bawah Nagaswara, membuka keyakinan mereka untuk sukses seperti Wali band.
"Mudah-mudahan kehadiran kita tidak mengecewakan dan bisa diterima," harap Andes yang diiyakan para personil Gibran's lain. (PR)
