Fuzzy VHS Vintage video, (very rare to be found in it's entirity like this), and well worth studying if for nothing else, as a social document of those times; ah, the nostaligia of it all - the good ol' days, (or were they? lol)
This is a documentary about the phenomenon that was the Warminster 'Thing', an iffy UFO photograph which hit the national headlines in1965
In it's defence, even though the 'Thing' was later rumoured to have been made out of bottle tops, at least this likely prank caused many residents around those parts to start looking up at the skies more frequently, instead of down at their feet; whereas nowadays with people, it's a preoccupation with text messaging and yakking on their cell phones - doh!
And the result of all of this additional sky watching? more UFO sightings of course.
Yes, some misidentifications, yes, some wishful thinking, - about visitors from outer space that were than likely to have been mistaken military aircraft, but amongst the mundane, there were some very intriguing reports, causing this Wiltshire town to became the unlikely epicentre of a UFO phenomenon right up to 1977.
Even today, Warminster is still no stranger to the occasional UFO sighting.

Warminster
Coordinates: 51°12′18″N 2°10′52″W / 51.205°N 2.181°W / 51.205; -2.181
Warminster (/ˈwɔːrmɪnstər/) is a town and civil parish in western Wiltshire, England, by-passed by the A36 (between Salisbury and Bath) and the partly concurrent A350 between Westbury and Blandford Forum. It has a population of about 17,000. The River Were runs through the town and can be seen running through the middle of the town park. The Minster Church of St Denys sits on the River Were. The name Warminster first occurs in the early 10th century.
History
The town was first settled in the Anglo-Saxon period, though there are the remains of numerous earlier settlements nearby, including the Iron Age hill forts of Battlesbury Camp, Scratchbury Camp and Cley Hill, the last a site operated by the National Trust.
There are indications that a Middle Iron Age settlement may also have been situated just west of the town.
The town's prosperity following the growth of the wool trade in the Late Middle Ages caused the erection of many magnificent structures, including the Minster Church of Saint Denys, in a yew grove sacred from pre-Christian times, and including an organ originally destined for the then under-construction Salisbury Cathedral.

PA 132 - Street Road - 100% (Bucks County, PA) [4x]
I drive the entirety of Street Road--including the end bits east and west of I-95 and PA 611 respectively. I travel through the towns of Bensalem, Trevose, Feasterville, Southampton, Warminster, and Warrington. This road is usually clogged with traffic, which is why I chose to go on a Sunday.
