WWE RAW PREVIEW 7 March 2016 (2/7/16)
Arena:
Allstate Arena,
Chicago, IL
Roman Reigns is among those advertised for Monday's show. The
No. 1 contender for the
WWE title has been off TV since
Triple H busted his nose two weeks ago. However there is still doubt whether he will appear on
RAW.
The WWE Roadblock special event is on Saturday and it’s sure that plenty of airtime will be given to
Ambrose and Triple H before their battle for the
WWE championship. But if Reigns is on RAW, how does he fit in to the picture? Will he cheer on Ambrose in this match or will cracks appear in their friendship once again.
Last week,
Chris Jericho and
AJ Styles beat
The New Day in non-title match. As WWE announced later in the night. Y2AJ will face the
Tag Team Champions this week in
Chicago. This is a fairly unpredictable match. If
Jericho and
Styles continue their recent roll, they could well be tag champs headed into WrestleMania.
Monday's Raw also promises to welcome back Shane-O-Mac. There are still so many unresolved issues with this feud. We thought last week
Undertaker would explain why he is fighting for Vince, but it never happened. Will Vince put
Undertakers job on the line? And is
Shane actually going to wrestle in the hell in a cell match? The return of Shane McMahon will be both exciting and enthralling as fans still have many questioned unanswered from last week. I think last week on RAW we were hoping for Shane and Undertaker to be in the ring at the same time, but it never happened! Will this week we get to see an epic staredown? And how will Shane react to Vince talking about disowning him.
Charlotte suffered an injury at a house on
Minneapolis on Friday. The Divas champ started to bleed during her her match with
Becky Lynch.
Officials stopped the action however over the weekend Charlotte tweeted out that she was fine.
The clash for the
Divas Championship at WrestleMania is now officially a
Triple Threat after last week's SmackDown. The divas title will get some focus on RAW and it’ll be interesting to see how they go about building the three way match.
In recet weeks we have seen
Ryback begin to turn heel and show more of an aggressive side. At recent house shows, Ryback has been working against
Kalisto. F4WOnline's
Dave Meltzer wrote, "Ryback is being tabbed at this
point to be put in the
U.S. title mix." According to
Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t
Wrestling Inc),
Alberto Del Rio will not be facing Kalisto for the title at WrestleMania. Kalisto will reportedly defend the belt in a
singles match, though.
Whether that ends up being against Ryback remains to be seen. Possibly on Raw we may begin to see a feud start between the US champ and Ryback.
For the
Intercontinental Championship scene, it's not clear at all what WWE has planned for
Kevin Owens. With
Big Show now out injured, Kevin Owens is left without any clear direction. It’ll be important to see on RAW how they deal with Owens and if a feud begins to emerge.
