Cecil Hotel or Hotel Cecil may refer to:
James Francis Edward, Prince of Wales (10 June 1688 – 1 January 1766), nicknamed the Old Pretender, was the son of the deposed James II of England and Ireland, VII of Scotland. As such, he claimed the English, Scottish and Irish thrones (as James III of England and Ireland and James VIII of Scotland) from the death of his father in 1701, when he was recognised as king of England, Scotland and Ireland by his cousin Louis XIV of France. Following his death in 1766, he was succeeded by his son Charles Edward Stuart in the Jacobite Succession. Had his father not been deposed, Great Britain would have had only two monarchs during his lifetime; his father and himself, but instead there were seven; his father, William III, Mary II, Anne, George I, George II and George III. Although the ruling Protestant Stuarts died out with his half-sister, Queen Anne, the last remaining Stuarts were James and his sons, and their endeavours to reclaim the throne while remaining devoted to their Catholic faith are remembered in history as Jacobitism.
Edward J. Garcia (born November 24, 1928) is a retired United States District Judge. He was born in Sacramento, California.
Garcia was in the United States Army Air Corps in the aftermath of World War II, from 1946 to 1949. He received an Associate of Arts degree from Sacramento City College in 1951 and an LL.B. from McGeorge School of Law in 1958. He was a deputy district attorney of Sacramento County, California from 1959 to 1972, serving as a supervisor in that office from 1964 to 1969, and chief of that office from 1969 to 1972. He was a judge on the Sacramento Municipal Court, California from 1972 to 1984.
On February 16, 1984, Garcia was nominated by President Ronald Reagan to a seat on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California vacated by Philip C. Wilkins. Garcia was confirmed by the United States Senate on March 13, 1984, and received his commission on March 14, 1984. He assumed senior status on November 24, 1996. He retired from the bench on November 30, 2012.
Edward Cecil, 1st Viscount Wimbledon (29 February 1572 – 16 November 1638) was an English military and naval commander and a politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1601 and 1624.
Cecil was the third son of Thomas Cecil, 1st Earl of Exeter, and his wife, Dorothy Neville, daughter of John Neville, 4th Baron Latimer, by his wife, Lucy Somerset, daughter of Henry Somerset, 2nd Earl of Worcester. He was a grandson of Queen Elizabeth's great minister Lord Burghley.
Cecil served with the English forces in the Netherlands between 1596 and 1610, becoming a captain of foot in 1599. In May 1600 he was appointed to a troop of cavalry, which he commanded at the battle of Nieuport, under Sir Francis Vere. In 1601 he commanded a body of one thousand men raised in London for the relief of Ostend, then besieged by the Spanish, and on his return in September was knighted by Queen Elizabeth. He was elected Member of Parliament for Aldborough in 1601. In the spring of 1602 he was colonel of a regiment of English horse under Prince Maurice, and served in the expedition into Brabant and at the siege of Grave. He commanded the English cavalry during the conquest of Sluis in 1604 during which he played a part in defeating the relief attempt by Ambrogio Spinola. He continued actively serving during the years immediately following, and made his reputation as a soldier. In 1610 he commanded the English contingent of four thousand men serving under Prince Christian of Anhalt in the War of the Jülich succession, at the siege of Juliers in July and August.

Evermore in Subjection – Wardship in Early Modern England and Its Impact on Edward de Vere. A talk given at the 2014 Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship Conference in Madison, WI. The wardship system that existed in Tudor England has been described as a “squalid system of cold-blooded profiteering off the misfortunes of others.” It is well known among Oxfordians that Edward de Vere became a ward of William Cecil at the death of his father in 1562. Did de Vere’s nine years as Cecil’s ward impact his life favorably or unfavorably? What can be learned from the circumstances of de Vere’s early years as a ward that enabled and/or motivated him to write? Bonner Miller Cutting is a past trustee of the Shakespeare Fellowship who has presented papers at numerous Shakespeare authorship conferences. She...

This is a complete hack of Final Fantasy 4 for the SNES created by PinkPuff. The plot is unchanged, but don’t worry, there is a point in the plot after which it branches from the original and begins an entirely new chain of events. We can get some of our ol companions back to help us but some have to disappear as certain events must happen. I will not change Cecil to Paladin. I will use Rosa/Rydia/Edward/Cecil/Yang. I like this so far.
