WREW

WREW (94.9 FM, "Mix 94.9") is a radio station broadcasting an Adult Hits/Rhythmic AC format. Licensed to the suburb of Fairfield, Ohio, it serves the Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan area. The station is currently owned by Hubbard Broadcasting. Its studios are located just northeast of Downtown Cincinnati and the transmitter site is in Finneytown, Ohio.

History

The station first began broadcasting in 1962 under the call sign WFOL-FM, licensed to Fairfield, Ohio, and aired a "beautiful music" format. They became WCNW-FM in 1965, sister to then Country-formatted WCNW (1560 AM). Beautiful music returned to the frequency in the mid 1970s as WLVV-FM "Love 95."

The frequency was sold off to Heftel Broadcasting in 1980, becoming WYYS-FM "Yes 95" with a Top 40-Rock format. The format changed within a year to soft rock under the same call letters and handle before becoming WLLT-FM "Lite 95" in 1983. In 1988, WOFX-FM "The Fox" replaced WLLT-FM, airing Classic rock. In 1995, the WOFX call letters and format moved to 92.5 FM, and WVAE-FM "The Wave" took over the 94.9 FM frequency, airing smooth jazz.

The Sound is the third studio album by the San Francisco, CA based band New Monsoon. It was produced by Michael Shrieve (former drummer for Carlos Santana) and Paul Kimble.

The Sound (Mary Mary album)

The Sound is the fourth studio album by gospel R&B duo, Mary Mary, released October 21, 2008 by Columbia Records in the United Kingdom and the United States.

In advance of the album's release, the duo released a promotional song entitled "A Mother's Smile" in conjunction with a Mother's Day promotion with Colgate. The official lead single "Get Up" was released digitally via iTunes on July 15, 2008. The Sound debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200, number 2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart, as well as number 1 on both the Billboard Top Gospel Albums and Billboard Top Christian Albums Charts. The album sold 37,800 copies it first week. The album has remained on the Billboard 200 for 55 weeks.

The album's first single "Get Up" won "Best Gospel Performance" at the 2009 51st Grammy Awards. At the 52nd Grammy Awards in 2010 the duo won another Grammy for Best Gospel Song for God In Me. The Sound won Mary Mary 4 more Stellar Awards on January 16, 2010.

Urethral sounding

Sounding or urethral sounding is the medical use of probes called sounds to increase the inner diameter of the urethra and to locate obstructions in it. Sounds are also used to stretch the urethra in order to receive genital piercing.

Urethral sounding and urethral play are also used to refer to this practice in a sexual context.

Urethral play can involve the introduction of either soft or rigid items into the meatus of the penis (as well as farther in). Objects such as sounds are usually only inserted about halfway into the glans and can usually be easily retrieved. Other toys and items, such as catheters, may be introduced deeper; in some cases even into the bladder. Some items may even be allowed to curl several times or expand within the bladder. This action in the male may be directly or indirectly associated with stimulation of the prostate gland and some types of bladder control.

Risks

If not conducted carefully, sounding carries a risk of irritation, tearing of the urethra, or of urinary tract infection. Infections may become serious if they progress to the bladder or kidneys, and should be referred to a doctor.

In medicine, sounds are instruments for probing and dilating passages within the body, the best-known examples of which are urethral sounds and uterine sounds. Some people enjoy using them for urethral play.

Jack (1996 film)

Jack is a 1996 American comedy-drama film starring Robin Williams, Diane Lane, Jennifer Lopez, Fran Drescher, Bill Cosby, and Brian Kerwin. It was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Williams plays the role of Jack Powell, a boy who ages four times faster than normal as a result of a disease, Werner syndrome, a form of progeria.

Plot

The movie begins with Karen Powell (Diane Lane) going into labor during a costume party and being rushed to the hospital by her husband Brian (Brian Kerwin) and their friends. Although the delivery is successful, the baby is premature, born after only ten weeks of pregnancy, and is diagnosed with an exaggerated form of Werner syndrome (an aging disease) as stated by Dr. Benfante (Allan Rich) and Dr. Lin (Keone Young). According to them, as this very rare autosomal recessive disorder progresses, Jack Powell will age at a rate four times as fast as normal children due to his internal clock that seems to be developing faster.

Ten years later, Jack (Robin Williams) is next seen as a 10-year-old boy in the body of a 40-year-old man, with a group of four boys telling possible stories of a "monstrosity" of a boy their age that cannot go to school. He scares them away by dipping a fake eye into slime and throwing it at them from his window. He is extremely childish as a consequence of his secluded life. He has only had contact with his parents and tutor, Lawrence Woodruff (Bill Cosby), who introduces the idea that he should go to public school. His parents initially balk at the idea of their son going there because he could be emotionally hurt.
