The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. Ranging from quintet to septet, the band was known for its unique and eclectic style, which fused elements of country, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, rock, improvisational jazz, psychedelia, space rock, for live performances of lengthy instrumental jams, and for their devoted fan base, known as "Deadheads". "Their music," writes Lenny Kaye, "touches on ground that most other groups don't even know exists." These various influences were distilled into a diverse and psychedelic whole that made the Grateful Dead "the pioneering Godfathers of the jam band world". The band was ranked 57th in the issue The Greatest Artists of all Time by Rolling Stone magazine. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and their Barton Hall Concert at Cornell University (May 8, 1977) was added to the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry. The Grateful Dead have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide.
The Waterboys are a band formed in 1983 by Mike Scott. The band's membership, past and present, has been composed mainly of musicians from Scotland, Ireland and England, with Edinburgh, London, Dublin, Spiddal, New York and Findhorn serving as homes for the group. They have explored a number of different styles, but their music is a mix of Celtic folk music with rock and roll. They dissolved in 1993 when Scott departed to pursue a solo career. They reformed in 2000, and continue to release albums and tour worldwide. Scott emphasises a continuity between The Waterboys and his solo work, saying that "To me there's no difference between Mike Scott and the Waterboys; they both mean the same thing. They mean myself and whoever are my current travelling musical companions."
The early Waterboys sound was dubbed "The Big Music" after a song on their second album, A Pagan Place. This style was described by Scott as "a metaphor for seeing God's signature in the world." It either influenced or was used to describe a number of other bands, including U2,Simple Minds, In Tua Nua, Big Country and the Hothouse Flowers In the late 1980s the band became significantly more folk influenced. The Waterboys eventually returned to rock and roll, and have released both rock and folk albums since reforming. Their songs, largely written by Scott, often contain literary references and are frequently concerned with spirituality. Both the group and its members' solo careers have received much praise from both rock and folk music critics, but The Waterboys as a band has never received the commercial success that some of its members have had independently.
Lapush is an American rock band, formed in 2002 in St. Louis, Missouri.
After releasing several singles and one EP independently, Lapush signed to New York-based label, 456 (Universal Music Group) in 2005. The label is co-owned by Carson Daly and Jonathan Rifkind.
Their music features a melding of American and European influences.
The band's discography consists of two studio albums, one EP and 10 singles. Lapush made their network television debut on Last Call with Carson Daly on NBC (December 2005) performing two songs; Quit You Now and Tout Le Monde. Their debut album, Someplace Closer To Here, reached No. 15 on the Alternative/Specialty Albums Chart. The second single from that record, Aurora, reached No. 15 on the Alternative/Specialty Singles Chart and also appeared in the television show Moonlight on CBS.
Lapush formed in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2002 by brothers Thom Donovan and Stephen Donovan. The original lineup consisted of: Thom Donovan (guitar and vocals), Stephen Donovan (guitar and vocals), Kevin Bachmann (bass), Casey Bazzell (keyboards and vocals) and Brett Voelker (drums). The band was named after La Push, Washington; a small community in Washington state. The name La Push is an infusion of the French la bouche, meaning "mouth", into Chinook Jargon. It describes the town's location at the mouth of the river. Instead of separating 'La Push', the band would simply combine the two into one word, 'Lapush'.
Garcia;Lesh;Weir;Kreutzmann;Mckernan lyrics: See that girl, barefootin' along, Whistlin' and singin', she's a carryin' on. There's laughing in her eyes, dancing in her feet, She's a neon-light diamond and she can live on the street. Hey hey, hey, come right away Come and join the party every day. Well everybody's dancin' in a ring around the sun Nobody's finished, we ain't even begun. So take off your shoes, child, and take off your hat. Try on your wings and find our where it's at. Hey hey, hey, come right away Come and join the party every day. Take a vacation, fall out for a while, Summer's comin' in, and it's goin' outa style Cause your mother's down in Memphis, won't be back 'till the fall. Hey hey, hey, come right away Come and join the party every day.

In 2014, Islamic State militants swept into Western Iraq's Anbar Province, overrunning Iraqi security forces, enslaving minorities, and causing thousands to flee for their lives. The jihadist group captured Iraq’s largest city, Mosul, and the cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, where hundreds of US troops died fighting the Islamic State’s predecessor. Now, two years later, the Iraqi security forces, with help from Iranian-supported Shiite militias and US military advisors and warplanes, are fighting to take back towns and cities in Anbar, one battle at a time. But it’s a difficult task: Anbar has been the crucible of Iraq’s insurgency, and is the country’s Sunni heartland — long marginalized by and hostile to the Shiite-led government in Baghdad. While the original Japanese version depicts the adventure in Nazca, the story and title were later changed to be based in Aztec settings for international releases, though the elements of the former culture, including the Nazca Lines, can still be seen. The player is not the only one in search for those treasures, three other adventurers controlled by the computer will try to foil his plans." Quirky maze game on the master system. You collect weapons by killing enemies, but not all weapons work on everything and most of the time you can only stab stuff. Money is used to bribe some of the enemies to become your ally. Take it like a man they said
Take your medicine
Find a golden road and stand
Then I saw exactly what they meant.
Find my homeboys on the dusky road
Who couldn't give a should about their life
Heed their words of faded brown
Then live it and sing about their strife.
Then bring your song to the river at sunrise
Sing that song 'til the river runs clean
It will happen to you
As its happened to me
Won't you sing that lovely song for me
It's alright mama
Let your children be loud
Watch them run into trouble
So they can figure it out
We spread our seeds far 'cross this land
Hoping they'd fall on good ground.
A vaccination in the sun and rain shine
And take a good long hard look around.
Then bring your song to the river at sunrise
Sing that song 'til the river runs clean
It will happen to you
As its happened to me
Come clean with me
It's alright mama
Let your children be loud
Watch them run into trouble
'Cause trouble's their medicine
