MadHouseMNL is an online magazine that shares content that features relevant stories and styles. It was launched by Raj Bay with the help of Alison Arciñas, Julie Nealega, Jon Kendell Rojas, and Rocky James Zaragoza on April 2, 2011.
MadHouseMNL.com is privately owned by MadHouseMNL Creative Designs. In November 2013, The MadHouseMNL Group was created, a start up group composed of young and creative people working towards a common goal—to continuously innovate and introduce unique kinds of online entertainment and services, through maximizing the usage of the existing technology.[2]
History[edit]
Before becoming a full-blown blog, MadHouseMNL publishes an online magazine that features top bloggers, models, and key personalities on its cover. Actresses Irma Adlawan and Lilia Cuntapay; bloggers David Guison and Lissa Kahayon; and model Pauline Prieto graced the cover of the then monthly online glossies.[3]
From its conception, MadHouseMNL has been true to its mission statement that is; to hone talented and young local artists: from stylists to photographers to writers.[4] The online magazine has talked about arts, food, the local independent films, music, and fashion.[3] The last online pop-up magazine was published in September 2013 and was graced by Chef Him Uy de Baron of Nomama Artisanal Ramen.[5]
Since November 2013, MadHouseMNL is solely a lifestyle blog. On the same month, The MadHouseMNL Group launched its venture into online TV production with MadTVPH. Airing every Wednesday night at MadTV.PH, it was hosted by Dani Barretto, Mikyle Quizon, Miko Carreon, Ana Gonzales, Seph Cham, and Angeline Rodriguez.[6] It aired a total of 16 webisodes in a span of 2 season. On its second season, David Guison joined as one of the MadTV hosts.
