Patil (Marathi: पाटील, Kannada: ಪಾಟೀಲ, Telugu: పాటిల) (meaning "head" or "chief") is an Indian title or lastname. The Mughals, Aadils and in the time of Shivaji Maharaj, Patil was the title given to a person who was granted a territory of land. The granted territory is usually referred to as the patilki or Watan. The Patil was in effect the ruler of the territory, as he was entitled to the collected revenues. Many Patils were warriors in the Maratha army. Patil is last name in Maratha (land lords) also it is given the surname to gujar patil or a leva patil or only patil to of others in rest of Maharashtra. "Patil" is predominantly used by Inhabitants of Deccan Maratha people (Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana parts of Andhra Pradesh). The native language of most Patils is predominantly either Kannada or Marathi language. Traditionally, the Patils being the head of the village had people like the Talati or Kulkarni to assist them in doing clerical work for the collection of revenue in their areas of control. This surname is found amongst Hindus. A man who bought his relatives and opened land became the Patil or the village chief. He in essence owned the village land and granted it to others. A Patil generally owned about 30-40 percent of land in the village. His job was to collect revenue from the entire village and submit it to the royal treasury. He not only acted as a revenue officer but as a judicial head in the village. As the chieftain of the village.Besides this the Patil was responsible for defence of the village, tracing every crime in the village and provide protection to the village. The Patil was also awarded with rent free lands or Inam. A Patil also received Patilkis (village chief rights).
Rajesh Khanna pronunciation (help·info); (born Jatin Khanna on 29 December 1942) is an Indian actor of Hindi films, and has been Hindi film producer and an Indian politician.
He appeared in 163 films of which 106 had him as the solo lead hero and 22 were two hero projects. He won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards and was nominated for the same fourteen times. He received the maximum BFJA Awards for Best Actor (Hindi) – four times and nominated 25 times. He was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. Khanna is referred to as the "First Superstar" of Hindi cinema. He made his debut in 1966 with Aakhri Khat and rose to prominence with his performances in films like Raaz, Baharon Ke Sapne, Ittefaq and Aradhana.
Khanna was born in Amritsar on 29 December 1942. He was adopted and raised by foster parents who were relatives of his biological parents. Khanna lived in Thakurdwar near Girgaon. Khanna attended St. Sebastian’s Goan High School in Girgaum, along with his friend Ravi Kapoor, who later took the stage name Jeetendra. Their mothers were friends. Khanna gradually started taking interest in theatre and did a of stage and theater plays in his school and college days and won many prizes in the inter college drama competitions. Khanna became a rare newcomer who struggled in his own MG sports car to get work in theatre and films in the early sixties. Both friends later studied in Kishinchand Chellaram College(KC). When Jeetendra went for his first film audition, it was Khanna who tutored him. Khanna's uncle changed Khanna's first name to Rajesh when Khanna decided to join films. His friends and his wife call him Kaka.
Anant Nagarkatte (born September 4, 1948) popularly known as Anant Nag is an actor and politician from Karnataka, India. He is considered to be one of the all time greatest actors in the Kannada film industry with a vast number of commercially successful movies.[citation needed] As a result, he is popularly known as an actor with no-failures, by critics.[citation needed] In addition to Kannada movies, he has acted in Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi movies. He has also acted in Malgudi Days, directed by his younger brother Shankar Nag based on the stories by R.K.Narayan. His work was much appreciated by critics at that time. He is fluent in Kannada, Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and with a good understanding of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The versatile natural acting coupled with the style of speaking (accent of southern Kannada with a tint of coastal touch) made him one of the most successful actors in Kannada cinema.
Anant Nag, one of the greatest Indian actors, was born in Konkani Saraswat Brahmin family of Anandi and Sadanand Nagarkatte. He had his early education under the aegis of Ananda Ashrama in Dakshina Kannada district and Chitrapura matha in Uttara Kannada. He was sent to Mumbai for onward education and got involved with amateur Marathi theatre for eight years. He started out doing amateur theatre in Marathi and Kannada.

Plot: A father and his eight year old daughter, on their way to Mumbai meet a quirky stranger who calls himself '340'. Before they know it, they are plunged into a terrifying roller coaster of fear as 340 turns out to be a psychotic killer. In a bid to flee from him and protect his daughter, the father is fatally injured. In his desperation to keep his child from harm, he manages to lock himself and his child in a deserted bungalow, but in time he too succumbs to his injuries. Plot: Ajay Rathod is a no-nonsense police officer from Mumbai Crime Branch. Plot: In a remote rural town in India, live a young woman named Ahnami and her husband, Bhashya. Bhashya is a laborer who earns a daily wage, drinks alcohol with part of it, and gives the rest to his wife for their livelihood. On some days he does not make any money, and as a result acts as a pimp for his wife, so that they can feed themselves. These are the two who are attempting to spearhead a awakening amongst this town which encourages young girls not to marry, but give themselves up to be devdasis (prostitutes), forever made to appease and satisfy males. These girls cannot marry locally as all the local young men have been sodomized, and the only way they can lead a normal life is by escaping to Bombay via a daily bus service. But even on the bus there is a pimp named Veerappan, who lures the girls on the pretext of a better life, but sells them in brothels in Bombay's red-light areas. There is no other route for these girls as the local police are apathetic, and corrupt, and the townspeople are all afraid to speak up out of fear of reprisals and superstition. Will this couple succeed in making any changes, or are they all doomed in the same vicious circle?

Plot: When the oppressive Patil of Sarlaj abuses Babaji and his brother because of their low caste, the duo organize their community and turn into bandits, and force the Patil to apologize.
