Dagny Servaes (10 March 1894 – 10 July 1961) was a German-Austrian stage and film actress. In the theatre she appeared in the productions of Max Reinhardt and Berthold Brecht. Servaes appeared in around sixty films during her career, initially in lead and later in supporting roles. One of her earliest screen performances was in the 1917 propaganda film Dr. Hart's Diary. she also voiced the character, 'the evil Queen/witch 1937 Disney Animation 'Show White and the Seven Dwarfs
Servaes was born in Berlin in the German Empire (present day Germany) to parents Martha (née Haese) and Franz Theodor Hubert Servaes. She had with Erwin Goldarbeiter, a daughter, Evi Servaes, who also became an actress in movies and on stage. She had a brother, Roderich Servaes, whose son Arnim became a stage actor as well. Through her father, she was cousins with Vice Admiral Reginald Servaes. She is also distant cousins to English actor Tom Hiddleston.
Lída Baarová (7 September 1914 – 27 October 2000) was a Czech actress and mistress of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda minister.
Born Ludmila Babková, she studied acting at Prague Conservatory and got her first film role in a Czech film at the age of 17. Her mother appeared in several theatre plays and her younger sister, Zorka Janů, was also a film actress. After being discovered by talent scouts for the German film studios, Baarova left Prague for Berlin.
In Berlin she met Gustav Fröhlich, a German actor, and starred in several films with him. In 1935, following her successful appearance in the German film Barcarole, she received several job offers from Hollywood studios. She turned them down, but later regretted it and claimed to her biographer, Josef Škvorecký: "I could have been as famous as Marlene Dietrich."
After her engagement to Fröhlich, they moved to Schwanenwerder on the outskirts of Berlin, where their house on the (later named) Karl-Marx-Strasse 8 was close to the residence of Joseph Goebbels on Inselstrasse 8. Goebbels was the propaganda minister in Adolf Hitler's National Socialist government, with a decisive voice in German film production. Baarová met Goebbels in 1936, while working for Ufa films.
Willy Fritsch (27 January 1901 – 13 July 1973) was a German theater and film actor, a popular leading man and character actor from the silent-film era to the early 1960s.
He was born Wilhelm Egon Fritz Fritsch, the son of a factory owner in Kattowitz (present-day Katowice) in the Prussian province of Silesia. After the bankruptcy of his father in 1912, the family moved to Berlin, where Fritsch sr. worked as an employee of the Siemens-Schuckert company. Young Willy originally planned an apprenticeship as a mechanic, but soon resorted to the occupation as an extra at the Großes Schauspielhaus theatre.
From 1919 he attended Max Reinhardt's drama school at the Deutsches Theater, where he debuted with small roles, and made his feature debut in films as a supporting player in 1921's Miß Venus. In 1925, Fritsch gained international attention by playing the leading character in A Waltz Dream directed by Ludwig Berger. Afterwards he was offered a United Artists contract but refused to move to the United States due to his lack of English language knowledge. At the end of the 1920s, Fritsch was also starring at two action films directed by Fritz Lang, Spies and Woman in the Moon where he played serious characters. However, his break through came as a juvenile lover after being paired with either Käthe von Nagy (i.e. in Billy Wilder's script debut Her Grace Commands, 1931) or Lilian Harvey, when they appeared regularly together in UFA movies like The Three from the Filling Station (1930) or Congress Dances by Erik Charell (1931), released almost every year thereafter until Harvey's emigration in 1939. He mainly starred in the German versions and was often replaced by Henri Garat until his movies were dubbed during the mid-1930s. Fritsch was married to artistic dancer Dinah Grace in 1937 and became a father of two sons. The younger one, Thomas Fritsch, is a successful actor as well.
Sir D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson CB FRSFRSE (2 May 1860 – 21 June 1948) was a Scottish biologist, mathematician and classics scholar. He was a pioneer of mathematical biology, travelled on collecting expeditions to the Bering Straits and held the position of Professor of Natural History at St Andrews for 31 years.
Thompson is mainly remembered as the author of the distinctive 1917 book On Growth and Form, written largely in Dundee in 1915. Peter Medawar, the 1960 Nobel Laureate in Medicine, called it "the finest work of literature in all the annals of science that have been recorded in the English tongue". The book led the way for the scientific explanation of morphogenesis, the process by which patterns are formed in plants and animals. Thompson recognised, however, that the book was descriptive, and did not present experimental hypotheses.
Thompson's description of the mathematical beauty of nature stimulated thinkers as diverse as Alan Turing and Claude Lévi-Strauss; and artists including Henry Moore, Salvador Dalí and Jackson Pollock. The Zoology Museum in Dundee, named for Thompson, displays a collection of artworks inspired by his ideas. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society, was knighted, and received the Darwin Medal and the Daniel Giraud Elliot Medal.

Here is the transformation of the Queen in the old Austria dub from 1938 and it´s the best from all the three German dubs. The voice actress is unknown but some people say it´s Dagny Servaes. In 1938 they wanted to dub the movie in german but because of the Nazis it was imposible to do it in Germany and so they did it in Austria and it´s not sure that the movie was shown there before 1948,

Walking through this Florida State Park, we discovered some neat old ruins of building, hiding amongst the trees. This was something that was a complete surprise and most likely won't be around for too much longer, as the structures are deteriorating and, according to the park staff, will be torn down. This is one more in a total of four State Parks we visited in Florida this year. Always a bargain and always enjoyable, I would highly recommend wandering through any of the Florida State Parks. When we return to the Sunshine State next winter, we will surely be seeking out more to check out and share with you all! Please have a look on my Channel for more videos from these great places. 48 Hours in Iceland: Winter Edition! Iceland really took our breath away in 2016, so much that after we spent 48 Hours in Iceland last summer, we just had to go back and visit again in the winter - and thank God we did. Iceland is unlike any country we have ever been to before, and the freedom we feel there gives us a sense of excitement we always chase when we travel. Not only does the small country only have around 300,000 residents, but during the winter months, there are far fewer tourists which only brought out the magic. Arriving at the end of December, we were met with nearly 20 hours of darkness per day, only having partial sunlight from about 11am-3pm each day. While most think Iceland is in 24 hours of darkness all winter, this period really only lasts around six weeks and ...
