Arius (Greek: Ἄρειος, AD 250 or 256–336) was a Christian presbyter in Alexandria, Egypt, of Libyan origins. His teachings about the nature of the Godhead, which emphasized the Father's divinity over the Son, and his opposition to the Athanasian or Trinitarian Christology, made him a controversial figure in the First Council of Nicea, convened by Roman Emperor Constantine in AD 325.
After Emperor Constantine legalized and formalized the Christianity of the time in the Roman Empire, the newly recognized catholic Church sought to unify and clarify its theology. Trinitarian Christians, including Athanasius, used Arius and Arianism as epithets to describe those who disagreed with their doctrine of co-equal Trinitarianism, a Christology representing God the Father and Son (Jesus of Nazareth) as "of one essence" (consubstantial) and coeternal.
Although virtually all positive writings on Arius' theology have been suppressed or destroyed, negative writings describe Arius' theology as one in which there was a time before the Son of God, when only God the Father existed. Despite concerted opposition, 'Arian', or nontrinitarian Christian churches persisted throughout Europe and North Africa, in various Gothic and Germanic kingdoms, until suppressed by military conquest or voluntary royal conversion between the fifth and seventh centuries.
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
There were times I betrayed what was sacred to myself and lost.
Over lines I'm ashamed of the things that I had done and crossed.
I was so fast to run when doubt had come
So fast to run, so fast to run.
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
So many times when I gave I was faking and I felt so lone.
I'm a munster, I´m an adict, I'm a danger to myself, I know.
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
Can we take another round?
Can we take another round of love..
Without the guns?
Can we take another round?
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
I'm willing to listen
I'm willing to say
I'm willing to try or throw it all away
Do we throw it all behind?
Throw it
On a dime life can change
Everything that you once loved you've lost
I'll tell you why I'm afraid with the symptoms
I've been making up
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
Willing and now
Willing and now
We want love
We want love
Can we take another round?
can we take another round of love..
Without the gun?
