"Kiss Me Quick" is a song by English singer Nathan Sykes. The song was released in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2015 as the lead single from his debut studio album. The song was written by Nathan Sykes, Ali Tennant, Jin Choi, Greg Bonnick and Hayden Chapman. The song peaked to number 14 on the UK Singles Chart and number 19 on the Scottish Singles Chart. The song also peaked to number 1 on the US Dance Club Songs Chart.

Background

In an interview with Capital FM, Nathan said, "It just came around, when we were out just outside of London in the countryside, I was working with LDN Noise and we were just chatting about nonsense and I just said, I'm really bad at flirting, honestly. Revealed during his shoot for Schön magazine. "So we wrote a song that can flirt for me, it's as simple as that. "Obviously with the album there are songs that are a lot deeper lyrically and a lot are very personal to me about relationship and things that I've gone through and this was just as simple. We were just laughing and joking about the fact that I can't flirt. So that's what we wrote "Kiss Me Quick" about and it ended up being my debut single."

"Kiss Me Quick" is a song written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, recorded by Elvis Presley on June 25, 1961, and released on June 5, 1962 through RCA as a part of the album Pot Luck. The song, backed by "Something Blue", was released in the United Kingdom and Europe as a single by Elvis Presley with The Jordanaires on December 1962 through RCA Victor. It was listed as number-one single for eight weeks, from June until July 1963, in Europe.

A 4-track extended play of the same name was released in 1964 in the Netherlands. It features "Kiss Me Quick" and "Night Rider" on side one, and "Joshua Fit the Battle" and "Judy" on side two. The song is also featured on many of Elvis Presley's compilation and other or various artists' albums.

The song was covered by Austrian popular singer and composer, Udo Jürgens, who released his cover of the song many times and in many formats from 1963 on, by Japanese rock band, Sheena & The Rokkets, on the band's 1980 album Channel Good. "Kiss Me" is a song recorded by English singer Olly Murs for Never Been Better: Special Edition (2015), the reissue of his fourth studio album, Never Been Better (2014). It was written by Murs, Zacharie Raymond, Yannick Rastogi, Steve Robson, Gary Derussy, Lindy Robbins and singer Taio Cruz, whilst the production was done by Raymond, Rastogi, Banx & Ranx and Robson. It was digitally released on 9 October 2015, followed by a release of two remixes, an acoustic and a karaoke version of the song in a span of a month.

"Kiss Me" is a song recorded by American pop rock band Sixpence None the Richer from their 1997 self-titled album. Released as a single in 1998, it reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was a worldwide success; it reached number four on both the UK Singles Chart and the New Zealand Singles Chart, as well as peaking atop the Australian singles chart and the Canadian Singles Chart, making it the group's highest-charting single across the world.

The song is also the group's best-selling single in the United States, peaking at number two for one week behind TLC's "No Scrubs".
