8x8 wheeled self-propelled howitzer 155m CAESAR Nexter Systems truck with artillery systems France
The French Company Nexter Systems, who is now part of the KNDS group with the German Company KMW (Krauss-Maffei Wegmann), has developed and manufactured two types of wheeled self-propelled howitzers in 6x6 and 8x8 configurations. The 8x8 variant is the second generation of 155mm wheeled self-propelled howitzer in the family of CAESAR (French acronym of CAmionEquipe d'un Systemed'ARtillerie, or truck equipped with an artillery system in English). This version of the CAESAR was unveiled during the defense exhibition in London, DSEI in September 2015.

The New Generation Infantry Combat System by Nexter Displayed at the Defea Exhibition
Nexter will present its VBCI Philoctetes for the first time at Defea exhibition scheduled to take place in Athens, Greece, from July 13 to 15, 2021.
This is a complete infantry combat system, armed with a remotely operated 40mm (CT) cased telescoped turret from CTAI and a medium range missile launcher from MBDA.

The Caesar 8x8 is an upgraded version of the 6x6 Caesar wheeled self-propelled howitzer using 155/52 caliber cannon. This artillery is designed and manufactured by the French Defense Company Nexter Systems. This version of the Caesar was unveiled during the defense exhibition in London, DSEI in September 2015. The Caesar 8x8 presented at DSEI was based on the Tatra T-815 8x8 chassis.
