Jason C Bourque (born 6 September 1972 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) is a Canadian screenwriter, director, and film and television producer.
Bourque has written and directed a wide variety of TV movies, series and documentaries, as well as over 60 commercials, short films and music videos. 2014 direct with the thriller film Black Fly, his feature film debut.
Jason (/ˈdʒeɪsən/; Greek: Ἰάσων Iásōn) was an ancient Greek mythological hero who was famous for his role as the leader of the Argonauts and their quest for the Golden Fleece. He was the son of Aeson, the rightful king of Iolcos. He was married to the sorceress Medea. Because he belongs to mythology, he may have existed before the Greek Dark Ages (1100–800 BC.) The people who wrote about Jason lived around 300 BC.
Jason appeared in various literary works in the classical world of Greece and Rome, including the epic poem Argonautica and the tragedy Medea. In the modern world, Jason has emerged as a character in various adaptations of his myths, such as the 1963 film Jason and the Argonauts and the 2000 TV miniseries of the same name. Jason is also the main character in the British TV series Atlantis.
Jason has connections outside the classical world, being the mythical founder of the city of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
Jason's father is invariably Aeson, but there is great variation as to his mother's name. According to various authors, she could be:

You would be hard pressed not to find a working actor, writer or producer in Vancouver that hasn’t worked with, or at least heard the name spoken at one of Van’s booze 'n' schmooze industry parties. In fact, Jason Bourque has gained a reputation as one of Vancouver’s emerging directors. Though, don’t be fooled by the term ‘emerging’, it’s a title that requires at least ten years of work experience and half a dozen credits to acquire: both of which Jason surpasses by a landslide. New Image was excited to welcome Bourque as an honorary NIC Talk. We filled our studio with excited acting students and alumni, all thrilled to meet the prolific director who has gained reputation as the ‘apocalypse director’. “With one of my latest features, Asteroid: Final Impact, I have almost reached my goa...

In the late 20th Century the distinction between soldier and mercenary became blurred. The recent use of private military companies (PMCs) in Iraq has been more extensive than at any time in modern history. The brutal killing of four PMC employees in Fallujah in April 2004 made it clear that these “contractors” are not merely workers in a foreign land. But are the lives of such men the only thing at risk when we privatize warfare? Shadow Company explores the moral and ethical issues private military solutions create for PMC employees, for the Western governments who foot the bill for their salaries, and for everyday citizens like you. The filmmakers traveled the globe to expose all sides of the issue, interviewing PMC staff, owners and lobbyists, former mercenaries, academics, journalists...
