Antoine Carraby (born December 11, 1967), better known by his stage name DJ Yella, is an American DJ, music producer, and adult film director from Compton, California. He was a member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru along with Dr. Dre. He later became a founding member of the pioneering gangsta rap group N.W.A (composed of DJ Yella, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, Arabian Prince, and Eazy-E).
Along with Dre, Yella produced Eazy-E's debut album Eazy-Duz-It and all three N.W.A albums, translating into millions of sales. He co-produced along with Arabian Prince the platinum-selling debut albums of J.J. Fad and Michel'le with Dre and contributed to The D.O.C.'s 1989 album No One Can Do It Better (also produced by Dre). Jerry Heller witnessed Dre and Yella's work together and wrote in 2006 of an almost eerie understanding between the pair, as they crafted high quality beats and productions with almost no words or full sentences needing to be spoken.
Yella remained close to Eazy and stayed on production duties at Ruthless Records after the acrimonious breakup of N.W.A. He produced J.J. Fad's second album Not Just a Fad (1990), Yomo & Maulkie's album Are U Xperienced? (1991), two tracks from Eazy-E's It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa (1993), the gold-selling hit single Foe tha Love of $ from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Creepin on ah Come Up E.P., Menajahtwa's album Cha-licious, and tracks from H.W.A.'s Az Much Ass Azz U Want E.P. (all three from 1994), and oversaw Eazy's final album in 1995 after his sudden AIDS-related death.
Yella released his 1996 debut solo album One Mo Nigga ta Go on Street Life Records, featuring members of the Ruthless 'family tree' like Kokane, B.G. Knocc Out, & Dresta, rhyming over his productions.
A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.
"No Vaseline" is a diss song by Ice Cube from his second album, Death Certificate. The song was produced by Ice Cube and Sir Jinx. The UK release of Death Certificate omitted this song, along with the 46-second long "Black Korea".
The song contains vicious lyrics towards Ice Cube's former group, N.W.A, having left the group in December 1989 due to royalty issues, aimed at his former bandmates, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and towards their manager, Jerry Heller, who Ice Cube blames for causing the rift in the group as well as primarily for his departure from N.W.A. Ice Cube recorded this song in response to the comments N.W.A made towards him in their albums 100 Miles and Runnin' and Efil4zaggin.
The song was a diss track aimed towards Ice Cube's former bandmates in the group N.W.A (which he left in 1989) and their manager, Jerry Heller. Ice Cube recorded this song after the comments N.W.A made towards him in their albums 100 Miles and Runnin' and Efil4zaggin. The first minute of the song is a reference to N.W.A's "Message to B.A.", in which they call Ice Cube "Benedict Arnold" as well as an "Ice T wannabe". Ice Cube then begins his full-blown diss on the group and their manager.

Genres: Musical,http://www.vladtv.com - DJ Yella recently spoke to VladTV about the last interaction he had with Eazy-E right before the legendary emcee succumbed to complications from AIDS. The founding member of NWA told us he spoke with Eazy during an adult film he was shooting at the "Eazy-Duz-It" emcee's home. Yella then revealed that Eazy told him to "watch yourself" before it was announced that he had AIDS, which the producer later realized was the rapper's way of telling him about his illness. After revealing his passion to do music died when Eazy passed away, Yella addressed being the only NWA member to attend his funeral. He explained that the members will never discuss why they didn't go to the funeral, but he guessed "some people probably just can't take it." Check out more of what DJ Ye...
http://www.vladtv.com - In this exclusive clip with DJ Yella, the founding member of NWA spoke about how the group dissolved after the second record, as well as Ice Cube's legendary diss track "No Vaseline." When asked about how the group felt after Cube left, DJ Yella told us that it wasn't a regular topic of conversation, but he briefly acknowledged that the group's feelings at the time were made known on "Message to B.A.," short for Benedict Arnold. Their song later spawned Cube's diss "No Vaseline," which DJ Yella thought was "cool," despite being named on the track. He then added that all of NWA knew that Cube "got us on that one." The conversation then turned to the group dissolving after their second album, "N****z4Life," was mixed, and DJ Yella made it clear that outside people...

[Intro:]
[Dirty Red:] Yeah, this is how we do it y'all
[DJ Yella:] check it out, tell them where we from
[Dirty Red:] Westside, yeah, that's right
[DJ Yella:] Dirty Red is in the house, drop it for them
[Verse 1: Dirty Red]
It all started on a hot summer day
Creepin' through L.A. - in a 6 Tray Choverlet
Impala, turned it up, Crenshew
We hit the streets so I put the chrome grip on my lap y'all
That's how we do it on the West Side
Ain't nothin' nice when the nigga wanna who-ride
So I glide, the further I go, the thicker the hoe
The shit was on the deck for the gigolo
I moved slow to the liquor bang Parking Lot
My nigga Yella got a taste for some pimpin' knots
Since Little Burners, we're quick learners
So fuck stress, on a night like this
You got to give it your best
[Chorus: Michel'le]
We're on the West Side
Swear on the West Side
Started
Yeah, ooooohhhh
[Verse 2: Dirty Red]
Fresh out the sack, I'm feelin' kind of right
I'm pullin' down my Rag Top, high as a kite
Boom shinnin' of the streets' light
When my 17th Crowl sounds bump the concrete
This is how the Gs ball
Got the glock 10, sittin' smooth in the cut
Just incase some shit jumped, I ain't goin' out like no punk
In my trunk sittin' petty, a Chrome Desert Eagle
Ain't trippin' of no One Time cause all my shit is legal
I pulls to the right, some niggaz lookin' shady
Thinkin' cause I'm solo, that maybe they can fade me
A little bit crazy but I'm keepin' my composure
Think up on my head bein' puffin' on my Dojah
Cause we're on the West Side
[Chorus: Michel'le]
We're on the West Side
Swear on the West Side
Started
[Verse 3: Dirty Red]
I glanced to my right, these niggaz damn ain't trippin'
I put my shit on safety and continue with my dippin'
You'll see me when you spittin, like this clip to my left
I blow my smoke, clear my throat, put Indo in my chest
Peep my game, haters think, come on us to take a ride
Dippin' into a spot over on the West Side
You can get the drink, but bring your whole dank
Cause bitches nowadays, be all about that gank
I bust me a bitch, and pulls to the store
Cause a got a crave for a cold 40 O
And a philly, yeah, so I can get a little tipsy
See my nigga E in a Cold Eight fifty
We're on the West Side
[Chorus: Michel'le w/ Minor Variations]
We're on the West Side
West Side, stalkin'
Swear on the West Side
We're on the West Side ooooohhhh yeah
West Side, started
We're on the West Side
We're on the West Side
West Side, started, yeah
We're on the West Side
Inside the West Side, yeah
West Side, started
Dirty Red is on the West Side, yeah
West Side, started
