The Chief of the Name, or in older English usage Captain of his Nation, is the recognised head of a family or clan (clann in Irish and Scottish Gaelic). The term is in use as a title in Ireland and Scotland where Gaelic traditions still survive.

In Elizabethan times, the position of Chief of the Name was more important to some Irish leaders than English titles. There are instances where Norman lords of the time like FitzGerald, took to using the Gaelic style of "The" or "Mór" (great) to indicate that the individual was the primary person of his family in Ireland.

In the Tudor period the Kingdom of Ireland was established in 1542, and many of the former autonomous clan chiefs were assimilated by the policy of surrender and regrant. At the same time numerous mentions were made in official records of locally-powerful landlords described as "chief of his nation", i.e. head of a family, whether assimilated or not. Attempts were made by the English to make each "chief" responsible for the good behaviour of the rest of his family and followers. The Gaelic practice was for such a man to sign himself by the family surname only. A new practice arose where the English version of the surname was in many instances prefixed by "The", and so for example the head of the Mac Aonghusa clan in County Down would sign as "Mac Aonghusa" in Irish, and as "The Magennis" in English.

Keith Cozart (born August 15, 1995)^{[citation needed]}, better known by his stage name Chief Keef is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He has signed a major record deal with Interscope Records, and is the CEO of his own record label Glory Boyz Entertainment.

Keith Cozart was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 15, 1995.^{[citation needed]} He attended Dulles Elementary School and later Banner High School on the city's South Side. In December 2011, Cozart was arrested on a weapons charge (aggravated unlawful use of a weapon) and put under house arrest at his grandmother’s home.

While under house arrest, Cozart released videos on Youtube. The attention he received grew in the short time between the release of several mixtapes and several of music videos, including 'Bang', '3Hunna' and 'I Don’t Like'. After two locally successful mixtapes, his song 'I Don’t Like' became a local hit in Chicago. It also caught fellow Chicago rapper Kanye West's attention who organized a remix of the song along with Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean. Keef will soon be releasing his third mixtape Finally Rich in which Waka Flocka, Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti and fellow GBE members are to be featured. An interview with Keef is slated to appear as part of an upcoming feature on Chicago artists in Spin Magazine. On July 7, 2012, it was announced that Chief Keef would be performing at Lollapalooza 2012, an annual music festival held in Grant Park, Chicago, IL.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz (born September 27, 1966) is the U.S. Representative for Florida's 20th congressional district, serving since 2005. She is a member of the Democratic Party and the Chair of the Democratic National Committee. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. She is the first Jewish Congresswoman ever elected from Florida.

The district covers parts of Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, including the cities of Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach.

Born Deborah Wasserman in Forest Hills, Queens in New York City, she grew up on Long Island. She is the daughter of Ann Wasserman, who is employed at Macy's, and Larry Wasserman, a CPA. She received a Bachelor of Arts in 1988 and a Master of Arts with certificate in political campaigning in 1990, both in Political Science, from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

At the University of Florida, Wasserman Schultz was active in student government, serving as President of the Student Senate as well as founder and president of the Rawlings Area Council Government. She was also a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society, the James C. Grimm chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary, and the union Graduate Assistants United, served as President of the Graduate Student Council, and Vice President of the UF College Democrats. She had credited her experience in student politics with developing her "love for politics and the political process".

Asaduddin Owaisi (born (1969-05-13)May 13, 1969 Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India) is a Barrister, Indian politician and President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Since 2008. He is a Member of Parliament (MP) representing Hyderabad constituency in Lok Sabha Lower House of the Indian Parliament Since 2004.

Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, is also known as “Naqeeb-e-Millat”

Asaduddin Owaisi was Born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, to Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, an Indian politician and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, for six consecutive terms until stepping down in 2004 in favour of his elder son. His education was from Hyderabad Public School and subsequently did his Intermediate (A' Levels) from St. Mary's Junior College, Hyderabad. He graduated with B.A. from Nizam College, Osmania University, then LL.B (London), and Barrister-at-Law (Lincolns Inn), England.

Son of late Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, a dynamic leader in his heyday, Asaduddin Owaisi evinced interest in politics right from his student days. He is the president of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimmen (AIMIM) and took up the party responsibilities after the death of his father in 2008, playing key role in the politics of Andhra Pradesh, through running All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen as strong as his father and maintaining strong hold in Hyderabad. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has had a successful run in and around Hyderabad under his leadership and strengthened it through attracting more youth into the party fold.
