Swami is a Hindi social film that was released on 8 June 2007, directed and also choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. The main cast consists of Juhi Chawla and Manoj Bajpai. The music of this Hindi film is by Nitz 'N' Sony.
The plot of "Swami" revolves around a common man's story. The title is based on the name of the main protagonist in the movie, Swami (Manoj Bajpai). The story throws light on day to day life of a common man's dreams. Swami is a poor labourer who works as a mechanic in an automobile shop and hardly earns a living. Swami, after his marriage with Radha, (Juhi Chawla) moves to Mumbai from his hometown, where Radha gives birth to a baby boy. The couple name him Anand. Anand establishes intelligence and wisdom at an early age and the couple is delighted at the intelligence of their young son. As time passes, the couple realises the importance of studies and come to know that a person can earn a good living in America, but proper education is required to go to America. Radha wants her son, Anand, to fulfill this dream for her. The couple tries to get Anand admitted to one of the best schools in town, where Anand is initially denied admission, as Swami and Radha are not very highly educated. Young Anand then himself speaks with the Principal and reveals the dream of his parents and requests her to give admission to him. The principal, moved by Anand's innocence, gives him admission.

Plot: Swami, Radha and their kid shift to Mumbai after selling off their ancestral home in a village. In Mumbai, they get their kid admitted to a school that's patronized by children belonging to affluent families. Everything is going fine until Radha falls ill and is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Swami starts working overtime to raise funds for the operation, but Radha spends the entire amount on a chair that Swami wants to possess so dearly. Radha passes away with just one desire: The kid should settle down in America some day. How Swami works towards that dream is the remainder of the story.

Plot: On a beautiful day, Swami, a contract agent for the FBI, is asked to interpret the conversation of Mahen, a criminal who has a history and the ability to escape without leaving a trace. Swami is assigned the task in case Mahen reveals something in the native language. Swami learns during Mahen's intimate conversation with his girlfriend Rachel that every obvious situation could have a different interpretation.

Plot: Abhijeet wants to finds a cure for people addicted to brown sugar and for this purpose works day and night. Although his widowed mom would like him to get married to Reena Chowdhury, who is the only daughter of Prof. Chowdhury, his boss, Abhijeet pleads that he is not yet ready for marriage. Nevertheless an engagement party is arranged, however, Abhijeet leaves abruptly. A furious Reena sets his laboratory on fire, leaving Abhijeet devastated and shattered so much so that he himself becomes addicted to brown sugar. No longer able to walk, confined to a wheelchair, his mom admits him in a recovery clinic run by Dr. Santosh. Here Abhijeet meets an attractive nurse, Sheetal, and falls in love with her. Sheetal helps him to recover and soon Abhijeet gets discharged. He would like to marry Sheetal, as his mom also approves of her. Then Abhijeet gets the shock of his life when he finds out that Sheetal is already married. Watch whether this discovery will cause a relapse in Abhijeet's health, and the reason why Sheetal chose to betray him in this manner.

Plot: To escape sinful impulses, Ben Harvey, a callow youth, leaves his small town for Chicago in 1910.
