BCFM or Bristol Community FM is a community radio station broadcasting to the City of Bristol in the United Kingdom on 93.2 FM. BCfm started broadcasting on 26 March 2007. This followed many years of community development and radio projects in Bristol, such as radio19 (the New Deal for Communities), Commonwealth fm and B200fm (Celebration of Brunel’s life). During the summer period of 2009, BCFM used funding provided by the Youth Opportunities Fund to build a brand new studio to cater for the growing number of presenters working at the station. Studio 2, also known as "Blue Studio" was built next to the current Studio 1 and allows live presenting from either studio with both having the ability to pre-record shows.

BCfm broadcasts in nine different languages and aims to represent the whole of Bristol and Bristol life. A significant amount of local music is played. broadcasts are webcast and a number of podcasts are available on the website. Broadcasts to the local Somali, Polish and Spanish speaking communities amongst others also feature. In addition, BCfm programming is carried by BBC Radio Bristol overnight at weekends.

Alan Thomas Doyle (born May 17, 1969) is a Canadian musician and actor, best known for his work as one of the lead singers of Celtic band Great Big Sea.

Doyle was born to Thomas and Regina Doyle in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland, his mother was a piano teacher who taught him. Doyle attended St. Kevin's in Goulds, NL just outside Petty Harbour. Doyle has a brother, Bernie, and two sisters, Michelle and Kim. He was raised Roman Catholic. He attended Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John's, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. It is also there that he met Séan McCann, Bob Hallett and Darrell Power with whom he helped to form Great Big Sea. He primarily plays electric and acoustic guitars, and the bouzouki for live performances, but he's been known to play mandolin and banjo.

Before Great Big Sea Doyle played in a duo with John Brenton called Staggering Home. As a teen he played in his uncle's band, the New Sandells.

Doyle has also been involved with a handful of stage, television and film productions. As a child, he appeared as an extra in the movie A Whale For The Killing, based on Farley Mowat's book of the same name, which was filmed in his hometown. He has also hosted regional arts awards shows in Atlantic Canada, appeared as a presenter on the Juno Awards and done a turn onstage in his hometown's "24-Hour Musical" performance of Grease. In 2005, he composed music for the CBC comedy Hatching, Matching and Dispatching, which stars Mary Walsh. In 2006, he worked on scoring the film Young Triffie's Been Made Away With, directed by Walsh.

Chester Arthur Burnett (June 10, 1910 – January 10, 1976), known as Howlin' Wolf, was an influential American blues singer, guitarist and harmonica player.

With a booming voice and looming physical presence, Burnett is commonly ranked among the leading performers in electric blues; musician and critic Cub Koda declared, "no one could match Howlin' Wolf for the singular ability to rock the house down to the foundation while simultaneously scaring its patrons out of its wits." A number of songs written or popularized by Burnett—such as "Smokestack Lightnin'", "Back Door Man", "Killing Floor" and "Spoonful"—have become blues and blues rock standards.

At 6 feet, 6 inches (198 cm) and close to 300 pounds (136 kg), he was an imposing presence with one of the loudest and most memorable voices of all the "classic" 1950s Chicago blues singers. This rough-edged, slightly fearsome musical style is often contrasted with the less crude but still powerful presentation of his contemporary and professional rival, Muddy Waters. Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson (Rice Miller), Little Walter Jacobs, and Muddy Waters are usually regarded in retrospect as the greatest blues artists who recorded for Chess in Chicago. Sam Phillips once remarked, "When I heard Howlin' Wolf, I said, 'This is for me. This is where the soul of man never dies.'" In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him #51 on their list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time".

Josie Diane Shirley Gibson is a British media personality, and former financial sales rep from Bristol. She rose to prominence after winning Big Brother 2010, and entered Ultimate Big Brother. She is a regular guest host on Channel 5 magazine series OK! TV.

Gibson was the first contestant to be selected by Big Brother to be a housemate on Day 1 of the final Channel 4 series of Big Brother. Throughout her stay she received only five nominations for eviction and never once faced the public vote. She entered into a romantic relationship with fellow housemate John James Parton and upon leaving Big Brother the pair confirmed their boyfriend/girlfriend status. On Day 66 of Big Brother 11, Josie was selected by the other housemates to receive a ticket to the final. On Day 77 of Big Brother 2010, she was announced as the winner with 77.5% of the public vote which is the highest there has ever been out of any other Big Brother series.

After an interview with Davina McCall, she confirmed she was going to take part in Ultimate Big Brother then re-entered the Big Brother house 20 minutes later. On Day 3 of Ultimate Big Brother, Gibson walked out of the house while other housemates were nominating. It was confirmed by Big Brother to the Ultimate housemates that she was not returning to the Ultimate Big Brother house. She was reunited with Parton seconds after breaking out as he was at the Big Brother compound recording a message for her. Her fellow Ultimate housemates shared their sadness after her exit with Ulrika Jonsson crying and eventual winner Brian Dowling predicting that she would have won if she had stayed.
