The Lights Out

The Lights Out is a rock band that formed in 2005, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Biography

The Lights Out started when Rishava Green and Matt King met in the Model Café in Allston, Massachusetts, where they formed a band before ever playing a note together. Green had recently written and recorded eleven tracks that were later named Douglas Sessions ’05 with the purpose of attracting the right band members. In October 2006, Jesse James joined on drums. Adam Ritchie joined on guitar in June 2007. Both James and Ritchie attend Syracuse University the same time, never meeting before joining the band. In October the band released a self-titled EP, The Lights Out (EP). Late-2007 saw the band blitzing Boston with a string of shows supporting the record.

The band released their follow-up five-song EP ¡Heist! in June 2008.

By September 2009 the band had taken the songs from their previous EPs and put them together with a new batch of compositions to create their first LP, Color Machine. That year, the band was a semifinalist in the WBCN Rock & Roll Rumble and headlined a showcase at CMJ Music Marathon. In May they played Gillette Stadium to open the The Patriots season.

Jimmy Kimmel

James Christian "Jimmy" Kimmel (born November 13, 1967) is an American television host, producer, writer, comedian, voice actor, musician and radio personality. He is the host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a late-night talk show that premiered on ABC in 2003. Kimmel also hosted the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 23, 2012.

Prior to hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he was best known as the co-host of Comedy Central's The Man Show and Win Ben Stein's Money. Kimmel has also produced such shows as Crank Yankers, Sports Show with Norm Macdonald, and The Andy Milonakis Show.

Early life

Kimmel was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in the neighborhood of Mill Basin the eldest of three children of Joan (née Iacono), a homemaker, and James John Kimmel, an IBM executive.

He is, and was raised, Catholic, and as a child served as an altar boy. Kimmel's mother is of Italian ancestry; two of his paternal great-great-grandparents were German emigrants, and his family's surname was "Kümmel" several generations back. The family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, when he was nine years old. He graduated from Ed W. Clark High School.

The Lights

The Lights are an independent rock band from Seattle, WA formed in 1998. They mainly tour in the Pacific Northwest, especially in and around Seattle. Their last national tour was their West Coast tour in the fall of 2006. They made KEXP's Top 90.3 of 2006 and were the winners of The Stranger's 2004 "Best Band in Seattle" contest. Guitarist and vocalist Craig Chambers also plays guitar for Love Tan. Drummer PJ Rogalski also plays for Unnatural Helpers. Local Seattle newspaper The Stranger called them "one of this city's top eclectic-sounding talents."

Sandberg, who directed the film from a screenplay by Eric Heisserer (“Final Destination 5”), based on Sandberg’s own short film.
