John Raymond McGann (December 2, 1924 — January 29, 2002) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, New York from 1976 to 2000.
John McGann was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Thomas and Mary (née Ryan) McGann. He received his early education at the parochial school of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, graduating in 1938. He then began his studies for the priesthood at Cathedral College in Brooklyn, and afterwards attended Immaculate Conception Seminary in Huntington from 1944 to 1950.
On June 3, 1950, McGann was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Brooklyn by Bishop Thomas E. Molloy. His first assignment was as a curate at St. Anne's Church in Brentwood, where he served for seven years. He also served as an assistant chaplain at Pilgrim State Hospital and a professor at St. Joseph's Academy, both in Brentwood (1950–54).
In 1957, McGann was named assistant personal secretary to Bishop Walter P. Kellenberg and assistant chancellor of the newly erected Diocese of Rockville Centre. He became personal secretary to Bishop Kellenberg in 1959, and was named a papal chamberlain by Pope John XXIII that same year. In addition to his pastoral work at St. Agnes Cathedral, he was made vice-chancellor of the diocese in 1967 and served as secretary of the diocesan board of consultors.

A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Films may be of recent date and, depending upon the festival's focus, can include international and domestic releases. Some festivals focus on a specific film-maker or genre (e.g., film noir) or subject matter (e.g., horror film festivals). A number of film festivals specialise in short films of a defined maximum length. Film festivals are typically annual events. Some film historians do not consider Film Festivals as official releases of film, like Jerry Beck. The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.

I've loved this piece from "The Yes Album" since I heard it in the '70's and spent many hours trying to crack the code of this and many other Yes pieces in high school...here it is, a few years later (cough), and I started to mess with it on mandolin. Sounded too cutesy, like a music box, but moved it onto my Stefan Sobell octave mando, more in the guitar range. Great fun to play! Dedicated to my fellow Steve Howe fans and to Steve himself, one of the most inventive guitar visionaries of our time and a huge influence on so many of us.

The vid I figured I wasn't going to make. After version 1.0 I wasn't sure if I had the meddle to update it. There are lots of updates and definitely lots of modifications. Like the inclusion of The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood. Not much from Torchwood but Sarah Jane Adventures added about 68 new clips. And most of all the inclusion of all of Eleven's episodes up to "A Christmas Carol". I changed the style from "Placed in a Category" to "Chronological Order". I like the chronological order much better. It will also allow you to see the progression from Doctor to Doctor. See how quickly it goes through Classic Who. Classic Who accounts for about 1/6 of all the sonic uses. Yeah, only 1/6! It includes various devices used by the Doctors plus Scaroth's Henchman's Sonic Knife Romana's Sc...

Walt befriends James, understanding what it is to be an outcast himself, having no family or friends of his own. Walt takes on a father like relationship with James, allowing the young boy to express himself through their time together fishing in the country river. But Walt is not all that he seems, and what seems like a simple tale of fr...

For the week 27th-31st July Director of Drama Direct, Mark McGann along with practitioners , John Baxter and Ed Thomas, went to Monkwearmouth School, Sunderland, to work with a group of youngsters aged 10-15 on a play specially written by Colin Swash which told the story of a stable boy, Roger Skelton, who was murdered by his master, Lord Hylton of Hylton Castle, in the early 16th century. Lord Hylton managed to evade punishment but the ghost of Roger Skelton haunted the castle and his plaintive cry of 'I'm cauld, I'm cauld' could be heard regularly down through the centuries.

Aiding and abetting the periodically frantic life in the Gildersleeve home was family cook and housekeeper Birdie Lee Coggins (Lillian Randolph). Although in the first season, under writer Levinson, Birdie was often portrayed as saliently less than bright, she slowly developed as the real brains and caretaker of the household under writers John Whedon, Sam Moore and Andy White. In many of the later episodes Gildersleeve has to acknowledge Birdie's commonsense approach to some of his predicaments. By the early 1950s, Birdie was heavily depended on by the rest of the family in fulfilling many of the functions of the household matriarch, whether it be giving sound advice to an adolescent Leroy or tending Marjorie's children. By the late 1940s, Marjorie slowly matures to a young woman of marr...

He soñado tantas veces como seria mi vida contigo
y es que yo me siento como iluminado, enamorado
tú me quieres, yo te quiero
entonces por qué no estar juntos
caminemos de la mano, conquistaremos el mundo
tu y yo, el mundo, el mundo, para los dos
dime como te sientes.
He bailado bajo la lluvia
he sentido la luz del sol
he tenido la sensación de que me quieres
si invertí eso me ha hecho grande
si dónde ahora se quien soy
yo le entrego mi corazón
si aun lo quiere.
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar.
Si no estas se detiene el tiempo
si no estas por siempre
te voy a esperar
si no estas se detiene el tiempo
te voy a esperar.
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar.
No he dejado de crecer
nunca me he olvidado de soñar
y en el momento que te vi
descubri la electricidad.
Be bailado bajo la lluvia
he sentido la luz del sol
he tenido la sensación de que me quieres
si invertí eso me ha hecho grande
si dónde ahora se quien soy
yo le entrego mi corazón
si aun lo quieres.
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar.
Yo te esperaré
siempre aquí estaré
y a tu lado yo caminaré
lucharé, volaré
cumpliremos los sueños juntos
no no no no te vallas, ven regresa.
Te voy esperar
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar
Oh oh oh oh oh... te voy a esperar
