"Party Hard" is a song by Andrew W.K., first released as a single in 2001 and included on his first album I Get Wet. The song provided Andrew W.K. with his first mainstream hit, reaching number 19 of the UK Singles Charts upon release.

The UK single contained one previously released track ("Make Sex"), one previously unreleased track ("Violent Life") and the video for "Party Hard". A promo single for this song was released to radio stations in the US in 2002. The promo single had the title song, the video for the song and a track titled "Andrew W.K.".

Reception

"Party Hard" was named the 89th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.

Pitchfork Media ranked the song #129 on its list of the Top 500 tracks of the 2000s. Reviewer Mark Richardson wrote: "Before Red Bull and vodka became fashionable and sports drink companies made the decade all about the pursuit of eXtreme energy, the movement already had its anthem."

Soundtrack appearances

The song appeared in the 2002 movie Stealing Harvard. The song was also used in the 2013 documentary series The Smash Brothers Episode 8: The Natural.

Premise

Initially, you play as a man named Darius who finds it difficult to sleep when there are active party-goers nearby. He decides to kill them all using a standard knife. There are four other unlockable characters, including a Ninja (obtained by clearing a level with no bodies found), Policeman (obtained by completing all the levels), Katie (obtained by escaping the police 5 times in one game; also the only person available on the a specific level), and the Butcher (obtained by killing 1000 people). Each level takes place at a party with a different theme, interactive objects, and "special guests," who are people that you call to distract/kill party guests. The completion of these levels also unlocks the storyline, which focuses on Detective John West's detailing of the Party Hard Killings of autumn, 2000.

Nyah

Nyah is a town in northern Victoria, Australia. The town is located on the Murray Valley Highway, in the Rural City of Swan Hill local government area, 365 kilometres (227 mi) north west of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2011 census, Nyah had a population of 483.

The town, on the banks of the Murray River was formed as the "Taverner Community Village Settlement" in the 1890s by Jim Thwaites as a utopian socialist community, one of many established along the Murray, including Waikerie in South Australia. The communities were established in imitation of the New Australia settlement of William Lane in Paraguay. Lack of access to water for fields and a falling-out of favour of socialism led to the end of state support for these communities.

The Post Office opened on 4 May 1894 (though known as Tyntynder for some months)

The town in conjunction with neighbouring township Nyah West has an Australian Rules football team competing in the Central Murray Football League.

Nyah Harness Racing Club conducts regular meetings at its racetrack in the town.
