On 25 April 2016, CSL marks its 100th anniversary.
A century ago, CSL made a promise to protect the health of a nation and help save and improve the lives of people with serious diseases. Today, this same promise is stronger than ever. Over the last 100 years, CSL has grown into a global biotherapeutics leader delivering innovative therapies to patients all around the world. CSL Behring is one of the world’s leading companies in the bioplasma therapeutics industry. Every year CSL Behring processes approx. 10 million litres of human blood plasma to manufacture its therapeutics. The medication the company manufactures in Switzerland is particularly sensitive to changes in temperature. It needs to be refrigerated as soon as production is complete. If transportation over longer distances is required, it needs to be wrapped in a special cold chain packaging with cooling elements, making sure the temperature remains between 2 and 8 °Celsius. Welcome to the self-administration training video for the Mix2Vial. The Mix2Vial is a needle-free transfer device that offers you an efficient and convenient way to reconstitute lyophilized products. The needle-free design minimizes the risk of accidental injury and the time to prepare factor concentrates produced by CSL Behring for infusion.
CSL Behring Canada created this educational video to help patients and healthcare providers learn the proper techniques for the safe and simple way to reconstitute lyophilized biotherapy concentrates using the Mix2Vial in a home care or clinical setting.
This presentation should be used in conjunction with training provided by your health care professional. The content within this video focuses on the general steps of reconstituting products and does not contain specifics about dosing or treatment schedule.
