"Two Wrongs" is the lead single from Wyclef Jean's third studio album, Masquerade. The song features additional vocals by Claudette Ortiz of City High. It was one of the biggest selling singles of 2002, reaching the top of the singles chart in New Zealand, and peaking at #20 in the United Kingdom and Sweden.

Wyclef Jean

Wyclef Jeanelle Jean (/ˈwaɪklɪf ˈʒɒn/; born October 17, 1969) is a Haitian rapper, musician and actor. At the age of nine, Jean moved to the United States with his family and has spent much of his life there. He first achieved fame as a member of the acclaimed New Jersey hip hop group the Fugees. Jean won three Grammy Awards for his musical work.

On August 5, 2010, Jean filed for candidacy in the 2010 Haitian presidential election, although the Electoral Commission subsequently ruled him ineligible to stand as he had not met the requirement to have been resident in Haiti for five years.

Jean's efforts at earthquake relief, highly publicized in 2010 throughout Haiti and the United States, were channeled through his charitable organization, Yéle Haiti. The charity, which performed a variety of charitable works in Haiti between 2005 and 2010, effectively closed in 2012 after much controversy over mismanagement of funds, with many believing that a large portion of the profits weren't used for charitable purposes.

Kirk Jones (born November 3, 1973), better known by his stage name Sticky Fingaz, is an American rapper, actor, film director, and record producer. He is a member of the multi-platinum record selling rap group Onyx. His name comes from the slang term "sticky fingers" given to someone who is a thief. As an actor, he is perhaps best known for his roles as Private Maurice "Smoke" Williams on the 2005 FX drama Over There, rapper Kern Little on The Shield, and the title character in the 2006 Spike action-horror Blade: The Series. He also appears on crime drama shows such as NCIS, Law & Order, and CSI:Miami.

Early life

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jones and his cousin Fredro Starr worked in Nu-Tribe, a barber shop in Jamaica, Queens, New York.

Music career

Career with Onyx

In 1991, Jones entered the Queens-based rap group Onyx along with cousin Fredro Starr, Sonsee, and Big DS. In 1993 the group released their debut album entitled Bacdafucup. It proved to be a commercial success and eventually went multi-platinum, largely due to the well known single "Slam". Since then he has released four other albums with Onyx.

Claudette Ortiz

Claudette Ortiz (born July 21, 1981) is an American singer and model, most famous as the female in the R&B group City High. Ortiz also was a castmate in TV One's reality series R&B Divas: Los Angeles.

Biography

Early life and career beginnings

Claudette Ortiz is of Puerto Rican descent,she was born in Willingboro, New Jersey on July 21, 1981. She is the older sister of Geffen Records executive, Terrance Ortiz.

2001-2003: City High

The group began with Pardlo signing on as a solo artist. However, soon Pardlo's high school friend Toby and the producers decided that it should be a two-man group featured on the album. Soon after the two-man group began to work on the album, The Product G&B became successful. In order to stand out, the producers decided to add a female member. They chose Ortiz, another group member from their high school. During production, all three members did writing on the songs. The trio focused on trying to make lyrics that told a story, Toby noting that he got some inspiration for writing songs that tell stories from country music. A large amount of the songs are based on real-life experiences the trio has experienced, such as "What Would You Do?". The group recorded "What Would You Do?" two years prior to the release of album, as it was featured in the Eddie Murphy film Life. It was not formally released, however, until 2001. The group disbanded in 2003, failing to release another album despite their debut's success.
