Rajnigandha is a tale of Deepa who is in long-term relationship with Sanjay. A job interview call from a college in Mumbai re-acquaints Deepa with her first love Navin whom she had split up with under some bitter circumstances. Navin helps her there in everything and this rekindles her feelings for him. Upon her return to Delhi, she gets confused between Sanjay and Navin when it comes to her choice. She gets that job and at the same time Sanjay gets promotion. Eventually Deepa takes her decision that forms a climax of the movie.

Plot : Meeta Sen (Tanuja) and Amar Sen (Sanjeev Kumar) have been married for several years. Due to Amar's hectic work schedule, the couple did not have children, as there was no time for intimacy. Meeta decides to take matters into her own hands, gets rid of the servants, save for Hari (A. K. Hangal), and decides to run the household on her own. This gets the couple to be closer, and eventually they do get intimate. And then Meeta's old flame Shashi Bhushan (Dinesh Thakur) not only re-enters Meeta's life, but also gets employed in the same organization as Amar, throwing their marriage again in jeopardy. One day while at home Amar and Shashi discuss their work and Amar tells that he'll join the office from tomorrow because he's fine now from his flu. While Shashi leaves, Amar sees him talking with his wife. The next day he asks Meeta to call for Shashi in an intimidating and arrogant tone, after Shashi leaves, Amar confronts Meeta and she explains their past relationship to him. Amar leaves the house without saying anything and asks Shashi to resign, though Shashi already has written his resignation letter because he sees himself as a reason of upheaval in their lives. Knowing this Amar says that' The past comes between us only when we aren't able to live the present completely'. After reaching home Amar tries to tell Meeta but she's circumlocuting in an amusing manner and says that she has understood and tells him that she has understood that he has understood. The movie ends with them embracing each other.
SoundTrack : The film is remembered for its memorable songs sung by Geeta Dutt and Manna Dey with music by Geeta Dutt’s brother, veteran music director, Kanu Roy and evocative lyrics by Gulzar.

Dinesh Thakur is a noted Indian theatre director, actor in theatre, television and Hindi film, where most notably he appeared as one of the leads in Rajnigandha 1974 and directed by Basu Chatterjee, which won both Filmfare Best Movie Award and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie. He is the founder-director of ANK productions, a Mumbai-based theatre company, established in 1976.
Though he mainly appeared as character roles in Hindi films, as a screenwriter and story writer, he is known for writing the story and screenplay of Ghar (1978), which won him the 1979 Filmfare Best Story Award.
Dinesh Thakur did his graduation from Kirori Mal College (KMC), Delhi University, where was also part of the KMC dramatic society.
He made his film debut in 1971, with Mere Apne, written and directed by Gulzar, and followed it up with Basu Bhattacharya's Anubhav (1971), opening film of his trilogy of martial discord in urban settings, there after he also appeared the third film, Griha Pravesh (1979). 1974 saw him appearing in Basu Chatterjee's landmark in middle cinema, Rajnigandha (1974), along side Amol Palekar and Vidya Sinha, which won the Filmfare Best Film Award, and went on appear in several films with both the directors in the coming years.

Anubhav (English: Experience; Hindi: अनुभव) is a 1971 Hindi film by noted director Basu Bhattacharya, which stars Sanjeev Kumar, Tanuja Samarth and Dinesh Thakur as leads. Plot: Curry Munchers follows the life of Sid (Aunanda Naaido), a mid-twenties boy who migrates to Auckland from Delhi, with his parents. Plot : Meeta Sen (Tanuja) and Amar Sen (Sanjeev Kumar) have been married for several years. Due to Amar's hectic work schedule, the couple did not have children, as there was no time for intimacy. Meeta decides to take matters into her own hands, gets rid of the servants, save for Hari (A. K. Hangal), and decides to run the household on her own. This gets the couple to be closer, and eventually they do get intimate. And then Meeta's old flame Shashi Bhushan (Dinesh Thakur) not only re-enters Meeta's life, but also gets employed in the same organization as Amar, throwing their marriage again in jeopardy. One day while at home Amar and Shashi discuss their work and Amar tells that he'll join the office from tomorrow because he's fine now from his flu. While Shashi leaves, Amar sees him talking with his wife. The next day he asks Meeta to call for Shashi in an intimidating and arrogant tone, after Shashi leaves, Amar confronts Meeta and she explains their past relationship to him. Amar leaves the house without saying anything and asks Shashi to resign, though Shashi already has written his resignation letter because he sees himself as a reason of upheaval in their lives. Knowing this Amar says that' The past comes between us only when we aren't able to live the present completely'. After reaching home Amar tries to tell Meeta but she's circumlocuting in an amusing manner and says that she has understood and tells him that she has understood that he has understood. The movie ends with them embracing each other.
SoundTrack : The film is remembered for its memorable songs sung by Geeta Dutt and Manna Dey with music by Geeta Dutt’s brother, veteran music director, Kanu Roy and evocative lyrics by Gulzar.

Plot : Meeta Sen (Tanuja) and Amar Sen (Sanjeev Kumar) have been married for several years. Due to Amar's hectic work schedule, the couple did not have children, as there was no time for intimacy. Meeta decides to take matters into her own hands, gets rid of the servants, save for Hari (A. K. Hangal), and decides to run the household on her own. This gets the couple to be closer, and eventually they do get intimate. And then Meeta's old flame Shashi Bhushan (Dinesh Thakur) not only re-enters Meeta's life, but also gets employed in the same organization as Amar, throwing their marriage again in jeopardy. One day while at home Amar and Shashi discuss their work and Amar tells that he'll join the office from tomorrow because he's fine now from his flu. While Shashi leaves, Amar sees him talking with his wife. The next day he asks Meeta to call for Shashi in an intimidating and arrogant tone, after Shashi leaves, Amar confronts Meeta and she explains their past relationship to him. Amar leaves the house without saying anything and asks Shashi to resign, though Shashi already has written his resignation letter because he sees himself as a reason of upheaval in their lives. Knowing this Amar says that' The past comes between us only when we aren't able to live the present completely'. After reaching home Amar tries to tell Meeta but she's circumlocuting in an amusing manner and says that she has understood and tells him that she has understood that he has understood. The movie ends with them embracing each other.

Anubhav (English: Experience; Hindi: अनुभव) is a 1971 Hindi film by noted director Basu Bhattacharya, which stars Sanjeev Kumar, Tanuja Samarth and Dinesh Thakur as leads. The film was the first part of Basu Battacharya's introspective trilogy on marital discord in an urban setting, which included Avishkaar (1973) and Griha Pravesh (1979); and went on to win the 1972 National Film Award for Second Best Feature Film and started a trend later picked even by the mainstream cinema. The film also remembered for playback singer, Geeta Dutt's finest songs composed by music director Kanu Roy and lyrics like Gulzar, like Meri Jaan Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho, Koi Chupke Se Aake and Mera Dil Jo Mera Hota.

Deepa (Vidya Sinha) is a graduate student in Delhi who is in a long-term relationship with Sanjay (Amol Palekar), whom she plans to marry. Sanjay is a loquacious, humorous, and a good individual who is also rather lackadaisical and forgetful with no sense of punctuality.
A job interview call from a college in Mumbai re-acquaints her with Navin (Dinesh Thakur) whom she had split up with under acrimonious circumstances. Navin is in every way the antithesis of Sanjay: He is very punctual and looks after her during her stay in Mumbai. Navin shows her the city and helps her with the job interview. This rekindles Deepa's feelings for him, and she finds herself torn between the two men and between her past and her present. Upon her return to Delhi, she feels that her first love (Navin) is her true love. She receives a letter stating that she has got the job in Mumbai. At the same time Sanjay comes to her house and tells her that he has got a promotion. Deepa then feels that she should forget the past and get married to Sanjay. Whom she decides to marry forms the climax of the movie.

Former captain Ravi Shastri was today named interim coach of the Indian cricket team for the tour of Bangladesh starting June 10. Shastri, who served as Team Director during the tour of Australia and the subsequent World Cup earlier this year, is a stop-gap arrangement for the short tour as the BCCI is yet to decide on a full-time coach to replace Duncan Fletcher, whose contract has ended. "BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya has named Ravi Shastri as interim coach of the Indian team. This is for the Bangladesh tour and future decisions will be taken after this," BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur said. India will play one Test and three One-Day Internationals during the tour of Bangladesh. Shastri represented India in 80 Tests and 150 ODIs for India and was part of the Indian team which lifted the 1983 World Cup. Shastri had travelled with the Indian team to Bangladesh in 2007 as cricket manager after Greg Chappell had resigned from India coach's duty following the World Cup debacle that year. In the other support staff appointments, Sanjay Bangar and Bharat Arun will continue to serve as the batting and bowling coaches respectively. Saumya yes
R Sridhar was also retained as the fielding coach while Biswaroop Dey was named the team's administrative manager. Bangar, Arun and Sridhar have been with the team since last year's ODI leg of the England tour.

Gunmen went on a shooting rampage at the luxury Radisson Blu hotel in Mali's capital Bamako on Friday, seizing 170 guests and staff in an ongoing hostage-taking, the hotel chain said.
