NEFERTITI :"The beautiful one has come", Queen Nefertiti was wife of Akhenaton,. Queen Nefertiti is popular not only because she had the most beautiful face during her time, but because she also played an important role in ruling the Egyptians. During their marriage, Queen Nefertiti gave birth to six daughters, and two of them became queens of Egypt. Queen Nefertiti and her husband have established a cult called sun god wherein they worship Aton. At the end of the fifth year of Akhenaton's reign, Aton, the god that the cult that the royal couples have established, became the dominant god in the nation. Queen Nefertiti and her husband played an important religious role by worshipping Aton. During her reign, she was considered as the living fertility goddess because of giving birth to six princesses and having an elegant body which was emphasized by silk linens that she wore. Queen Nefertiti's parentage or lineage is unclear. Some believed that she was a princess from Mitanni which was known now as Syria. On the other hand, there are also some arguments which suggest that Queen Nefertiti was the daughter of Ay, who was the brother of Akhenaton's mother named Tiye. Queen Nefertiti had a younger sister named Mutnodjmet.(probably daughter of ay with his second wife Tey) Nefertiti's sister is featured in the decorations of the tomb of Ay; however, this does not clearly explain the relationship of Nefertiti with Ay but some researchers believe she was Ay's daughter with his first wife.Although other researchers believe That Nefertiti was Duhepa Princess of Mittani, and the proof would be the shape of the skull of Nefertiti: in Mittani was used to deform (lengthen) the head of children of the high classes. The relationship between Queen Nefertiti and King Akhenaton was more than a wife but also a co-ruler. Historians believed that Queen Nefertiti is not only a consort to King Akhenaton but she also helped in ruling. Queen Nefertiti also had her own chariot. However, there are not enough evidences to confirm Queen Nefertiti's political status. At the end of the twelve year reign of King Akhenaton, one of the princesses died and the three have also disappeared. They believed that these princesses also died, but what is alarming is the sudden disappearance of Queen Nefertiti. People believe that she also died, but there are no evidences or records of her death. The body of the queen was never discovered. After the death of King Akhenaton, Armana was left and the King and Queen were already forgotten. In the year 1912, a German archeologist found the portrait of Queen Nefertiti which attracted a lot of attention in the whole world. The portrait was made from limestone and is now being displayed at a museum. Nefertiti was coregent of her husband and had a huge role in the political and religious changes. nefertiti changed her name several times, and after the death of Akhenaten reached her zenith, apparently took absolute power alone, and for this reason modified again her name for Smenkhare Ankheperure. The religious and political changes brought many problems to her with the court and of course with the priests. to maintain her power (*) she sent a letter to the Hittite king saying that she had widowed and didnt confide in any member of the court to marry again, and asked to the Hittite king if was possible to send one of his sons to become consort and sovereign The Hittite king after distrust and check that the letter was true and not a hoax, sent one of his sons (Zannanza), but it was too late, the court sent a detachment to intercept the Hittite prince of whom nothing was known more. this meant several years of war between the two peoples and for the queen the end of her reign,disappearing of the registers and being succeeded by tut. (*) Some researchers believe that was Ankhesenamen (widow of tut) who sent those letters to hittite's king (suppiluliuma),and not Nefertiti. This historical Doubt is known as "Dahamunzu" case, because we know that the hitittes named the Egyptian Queen as "dahamunzu" meaning "royal wife",
