7 ways religion traumatizes people
In this video, I talk about the 7 ways religion can be traumatizing. As someone who grew up in a very religious household, and very active in church, I found the benefits of church. But I also see that religious trauma syndrome is a real thing, and I have researched and heard so many stories of it. And I often get questions: do I have religious trauma? Signs of religious trauma? Religious trauma symptoms? or how do I leave a church? At the end of the day, religion should make us feel more connected to self and others, and if your church is making you feel hurt or separate, then it may be time to walk away. In this video I dive deep into religious abuse and toxic church culture. Let me know what you think below.

What if I'm being punished by God? What if I'm doing something to offend God? What if I'm not a good enough person for God?
These and MANY more tormenting questions can plague a person suffering with Scrupulosity. This is when ritualistic behavior becomes intertwined with OCD. This can be difficult to recognize and also difficult to want to get treatment because of the doubting and guilt. What if it isn't OCD/scrupulosity and I AM offending God? What if I get treatment and that means I am not being devoted to my religion?
Scrupulosity is treatable and there IS hope!
