RUSSIA WARNS OF MEGA EARTHQUAKE COMING - Scientists Warn of Looming U.S. West Coast BIG ONE
In a day marked by the gloom of a growing death toll, at least one story of hope emerged Monday as search teams combed rubble for survivors days after a powerful earthquake shook Ecuador's Pacific coast.
Rescuers pulled a person from the ruins of a hotel in the city of Portoviejo on Monday afternoon, security officials said.
The man, who was about 35 years old, had called his mother with his cell phone to tell her he was still alive under the rubble,

A second strong earthquake rattled southern Japan early Saturday morning, around 1:25 am local time. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) initially estimated the quake at a 7.0 magnitude (some sources say 7.1), and it came a little more than 24 hours after similarly large earthquakes rattled the same region.
Thursday evening local time, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck the southern Japanese island of Kyushu north of Kumamoto, resulting in the deaths of nine people and around 800 injuries. According to the USGS, the quake Thursday was part of a “series of foreshocks in the same region.” Why is the crust of the Earth shaking so violently all of a sudden?
Over the past 48 hours, there have been five major earthquakes globally, and one prominent seismologist has declared that “catastrophic mega earthquakes” could be on the way. In fact, seismologist Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado has made headlines all over the world by warning that “current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude”. If his projections are accurate, our planet could be on the precipice of a wave of natural disasters unlike anything that any of us have ever experienced before.
Since the beginning of 2016, south Asia has been hit by an unusually high number of large earthquakes, and this has scientists groping for an explanation.
A single magnitude 8.0 earthquake in a populated area would be a disaster of historic proportions.
If we were to see four of them like Roger Bilham is projecting, that would be a complete and utter nightmare.
It is important to keep in mind that a magnitude 8.0 earthquake would be many, many times larger than the twin earthquakes that hit Japan earlier today… Most Americans expect the next great earthquake in the United States to come on the west coast.

*NOTE -- This video has been edited and therefor you will notice a gap(s) in both the video/audio tracks. A major real estate brokerage firm just came out with an opinion that real estate agent should hold off using aerial drone footage in marketing their properties until the FAA issues final regulations on drone usage. These new regulations are supposed to be out in about a year. Meanwhile, aerial drone photography for personal or hobby use is okay. Supposedly the FAA issuing these rules to promote safety. But, why is there no regulation for personal use? Is personal use of aerial drones somehow safer than commercial use?
The vast majority of aerial drones that have been used way under 5 pounds and four real estate videos would rarely ever get above 100 feet or so. Yet, until I retired from hang gliding a couple years ago, when I was strapped into the glider and had all my gear on, I would have to say the total weight was about 360 pounds. And yet the FAA does not regulate hang gliding!
So, in the interest of not wanting to get involved in any type of government litigation I have edited this video. I hope that the new regulations will make some common sense and not just be a way for government to raise money or tax individuals for using these models.

U.S. WEST COAST PREPARES FOR BIG ONE EARTHQUAKE - New Warning System
A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Friday morning 35 miles from Lone Pine, Calif., east of Mt. Whitney, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:50 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of -0.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 53 miles from Ridgecrest, Calif., 83 miles from Pahrump, Nev., and 88 miles from Porterville, Calif.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby. There's a nine percent chance a magnitude 9 or larger earthquake will strike the Aleutian Islands in the next 50 years. That is the prediction offered by scientists from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa -- made with the help of a newly designed computer model.
Researchers say an earthquake of that size could send a mega-tsunami in the direction of the Hawaiian Islands.
The Aleutian Islands, which stretch toward Russia from the coast of Alaska, sit along a subduction zone at the convergence of the Pacific and North American tectonic plates. Scientists say the chance of a dramatic slip along the fault lines that make up the subduction zone is significant.

We traveled from Southern California to Biloxi Mississippi to attend Scrapin The Coast. If you have ever wanted to attend an event where you can cruise all night long and have a few beverages in your truck (legally) well look no further. The entire state of Mississippi supports this event as it brings in a ton of money to the local economy. The police set up barricades along the coast highway but that doesn't mean you can not cruise up and down the coast all night. This is a must when it comes to custom automotive events. Robert L. Green, Jr., better known by his stage name Spice 1, is an American rapper born in Corsicana, Texas. He has consistently been releasing solo and group albums since 1992. Spice 1 was ranked number 56 in The Source magazine's Top 115 Hip-Hop Artists from 1988–2003. His self-titled debut was also listed in The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums.
His rap name is a acronym for "Sex, Pistols, Indo, Cash, and Entertainment". He was first discovered by rapper Too Short. His first release, Let It Be Known EP, was not well known or widely released, and included seven old-school style tracks. His self-titled debut album Spice 1 was a very vivid and fatalistic gangsta rap album, and his angry, edgy, and pessimistic rapping style and tone only added to the despair emanating from the disc. He followed it with an even more bitter and nihilistic release, 187 He Wrote in 1993, complete with simulated gunfire. Spice 1 managed to release six albums under Jive records along with one greatest hits album. It was reported by Jive that he has an album called "Full Metal Jacket", which was supposed to release under Jive. However, Spice 1 stated in many interviews that this information was false. It was something Jive wanted to push him into releasing, but he never agreed to do so. Therefore, the album was never released and it is uncertain whether or not songs for this album were used for future albums or if any songs were even recorded for this project.

A major real estate brokerage firm just came out with an opinion that real estate agent should hold off using aerial drone footage in marketing their properties until the FAA issues final regulations on drone usage. These new regulations are supposed to be out in about a year. Meanwhile, aerial drone photography for personal or hobby use is okay. Supposedly the FAA issuing these rules to promote safety. But, why is there no regulation for personal use? Is personal use of aerial drones somehow safer than commercial use? The vast majority of aerial drones that have been used way under 5 pounds and four real estate videos would rarely ever get above 100 feet or so. Yet, until I retired from hang gliding a couple years ago, when I was strapped into the glider and had all my gear on, I would have to say the total weight was about 360 pounds. And yet the FAA does not regulate hang gliding! So, in the interest of not wanting to get involved in any type of government litigation I have edited this video. Whitney, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:50 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of -0.6 miles. According to the USGS, the epicenter was 53 miles from Ridgecrest, Calif., 83 miles from Pahrump, Nev., and 88 miles from Porterville, Calif. In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby. There's a nine percent chance a magnitude 9 or larger earthquake will strike the Aleutian Islands in the next 50 years. That is the prediction offered by scientists from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa -- made with the help of a newly designed computer model. Researchers say an earthquake of that size could send a mega-tsunami in the direction of the Hawaiian Islands. The Aleutian Islands, which stretch toward Russia from the coast of Alaska, sit along a subduction zone at the convergence of the Pacific and North American tectonic plates. Scientists say the chance of a dramatic slip along the fault lines that make up the subduction zone is significant. Firefighters who traveled to Ecuador from Bogota, Colombia, helped rescue him Over the past 48 hours, there have been five major earthquakes globally, and one prominent seismologist has declared that “catastrophic mega earthquakes” could be on the way. The entire state of Mississippi supports this event as it brings in a ton of money to the local economy. A second strong earthquake rattled southern Japan early Saturday morning, around 1:25 am local time. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) initially estimated the quake at a 7.0 magnitude (some sources say 7.1), and it came a little more than 24 hours after similarly large earthquakes rattled the same region.
Thursday evening local time, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck the southern Japanese island of Kyushu north of Kumamoto, resulting in the deaths of nine people and around 800 injuries. According to the USGS, the quake Thursday was part of a “series of foreshocks in the same region.” Why is the crust of the Earth shaking so violently all of a sudden?
Over the past 48 hours, there have been five major earthquakes globally, and one prominent seismologist has declared that “catastrophic mega earthquakes” could be on the way. In fact, seismologist Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado has made headlines all over the world by warning that “current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude”. If his projections are accurate, our planet could be on the precipice of a wave of natural disasters unlike anything that any of us have ever experienced before.
Since the beginning of 2016, south Asia has been hit by an unusually high number of large earthquakes, and this has scientists groping for an explanation.
A single magnitude 8.0 earthquake in a populated area would be a disaster of historic proportions.
If we were to see four of them like Roger Bilham is projecting, that would be a complete and utter nightmare.
It is important to keep in mind that a magnitude 8.0 earthquake would be many, many times larger than the twin earthquakes that hit Japan earlier today… Most Americans expect the next great earthquake in the United States to come on the west coast.

A major real estate brokerage firm just came out with an opinion that real estate agent should hold off using aerial drone footage in marketing their properties until the FAA issues final regulations on drone usage. These new regulations are supposed to be out in about a year. Meanwhile, aerial drone photography for personal or hobby use is okay. Supposedly the FAA issuing these rules to promote safety. But, why is there no regulation for personal use? Is personal use of aerial drones somehow safer than commercial use?
The vast majority of aerial drones that have been used way under 5 pounds and four real estate videos would rarely ever get above 100 feet or so. Yet, until I retired from hang gliding a couple years ago, when I was strapped into the glider and had all my gear on, I would have to say the total weight was about 360 pounds. And yet the FAA does not regulate hang gliding!
So, in the interest of not wanting to get involved in any type of government litigation I have edited this video. I hope that the new regulations will make some common sense and not just be a way for government to raise money or tax individuals for using these models.

U.S. WEST COAST PREPARES FOR BIG ONE EARTHQUAKE - New Warning System
A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Friday morning 35 miles from Lone Pine, Calif., east of Mt. Whitney, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:50 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of -0.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 53 miles from Ridgecrest, Calif., 83 miles from Pahrump, Nev., and 88 miles from Porterville, Calif.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby. There's a nine percent chance a magnitude 9 or larger earthquake will strike the Aleutian Islands in the next 50 years. That is the prediction offered by scientists from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa -- made with the help of a newly designed computer model.
Researchers say an earthquake of that size could send a mega-tsunami in the direction of the Hawaiian Islands.
The Aleutian Islands, which stretch toward Russia from the coast of Alaska, sit along a subduction zone at the convergence of the Pacific and North American tectonic plates. Scientists say the chance of a dramatic slip along the fault lines that make up the subduction zone is significant.
Firefighters who traveled to Ecuador from Bogota, Colombia, helped rescue him
Over the past 48 hours, there have been five major earthquakes globally, and one prominent seismologist has declared that “catastrophic mega earthquakes” could be on the way. In fact, seismologist Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado has made headlines all over the world by warning that “current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude”. If his projections are accurate, our planet could be on the precipice of a wave of natural disasters unlike anything that any of us have ever experienced before.
Since the beginning of 2016, south Asia has been hit by an unusually high number of large earthquakes, and this has scientists groping for an explanation.
A single magnitude 8.0 earthquake in a populated area would be a disaster of historic proportions.
If we were to see four of them like Roger Bilham is projecting, that would be a complete and utter nightmare.

Hi guys, I'm Veronica Hill with California Travel Tips. If you're a subscriber to this channel, you're either planning a trip to California, or you're a resident looking for new places to check out. Today I'm going to share some of my Top 10 travel tips for visiting California like a local.
Tip No. 1: Book California State Park campgrounds exactly 7 months before you want to visit on http://www.ReserveAmerica.com. If you're hoping to score a busy holiday like the Fourth of July, reserve a few dates in the end of June, then add a few days to your visit. Securing a campground in Yosemite is also tricky. You'll need to log into http://www.Recreation.gov a few minutes before 7 a.m. on the 15th of the month — five months in advance of your visit. Popular campgrounds in the valley sell out in seconds! For example, if you want to book a stay between June 15 and July 14, you need to book on February 15.
Tip No. 2: If you're going to Disneyland, take advantage of the FastPass service. Just insert your park ticket into the kiosk for a designated FastPass ride and you'll receive a ticket allowing you to return later and cut the line. I've found it's handy to have one person gather all of your tickets to get the Fast Pass while you wait in line for another attraction. If you have kids too small to ride an attraction, the Baby Switch Pass is another good bet. Just ask a cast member for the pass at the entrance. Make sure you ride the most popular attractions right when the park opens. Knott's has a similar service called FastLane, but you have to pay for it.
Tip No. 3: Avoid traveling in the summer if you can. Most of the amusement parks are packed to capacity, with long lines and hot waits in the sun. The fall and winter sees much fewer crowds, and the hotels are cheaper too.
Tip No. 4: Get on the Groupon list for each city you are visiting. You'll be able to get discounts on some really cool attractions and restaurants you may not have considered before. If you want great hotel rates, check out sites like Priceline or Hotel Tonight for last-minute lodging.
Tip No. 5: If you plan on visiting several theme parks or attractions, look into the Go Card or City Pass. They offer discounts on many of the most popular sights in LA, San Diego and San Francisco. If you're a Costco member, many warehouses sell discount tickets to theme parks, restaurants and sporting events.
Tip. No. 6: If there's an expensive restaurant you want to try, go during happy hour. Often you'll get to sample their best dishes and drinks at half the price.
Tip No. 7: Families should plan their San Diego vacations in October, when the city hosts its Kids Free month. Many of the area's most popular attractions, including San Diego Zoo, the Wild Animal Park and Balboa Park are free for kids 12 and under.
Tip No. 8: If your favorite hotel or campground is booked, try again seven days in advance. This is when many people cancel their reservations to avoid penalties.
Tip No. 9: If you're heading to more than one of the seven California national parks, consider getting the annual pass for $80. Admission is free for all the parks in April during National Parks Week, and in November during Veterans Day weekend.
Tip No. 10: For the best fares, book your trip midweek for flights departing and arriving on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The cheapest rates can often be found online between 10 p.m. Wednesdays and 6 a.m. Thursdays around the 7th of each month. Additionally, the cheapest fares are found 7, 14 and 21 days before you leave.

This past week proved to be a VERY active one in terms of seismic unrest. Chile experienced a M8.3 earthquake, and a series of M6.0+ events struck in the West Pacific. April 4, 2016 - This earthquake forecast covers the United States, Europe, Asia, the Pacific, Central + South America.
All areas shown in the video are under a 7 day watch for activity to develop in the currently "silent" areas adjacent to the large movement which has taken place over the past 48 hours.
New deep movement HAS NOW OCCURRED below Japan since this video was recorded (but before it was uploaded to youtube). A deep M4.1 earthquake struck below North Japan (April 4, 2016).
Also, a M3.1 has struck near Vancouver Island British Columbia just as was discussed in the video... April 4, 2016 .

New areas to watch in the United States :
FOUR different West coast locations need to be on watch for at least M4.0+ activity to strike this week. Gulf of California near the California / Mexico border as far North as the pumping operations near Los Angeles. Eastern California at the dormant volcanoes along the Nevada Border. Northwest California along the Gorda Escarpment, and finally from Seattle to Vancouver Island BC.
All four areas should show either M4.0+ activity or swarm activity in the next 7 days.
Further East, along the edge of the craton, watch for near M4.0+ earthquakes (or swarm of smaller events) to strike (resume) near Challis Idaho, and at the fracking operations in the Midwest (Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma + Kansas). Watch for M4.0 across Oklahoma + Kansas.. watch for M3.0+ across Texas and Colorado.
The USGS has confirmed each midwest location that I've reported on in the past is now a "threat zone" for earthquakes due to fracking injection well gas / oil pumping operations:

In addition to the large South and West Pacific earthquake activity, a new M5.5 earthquake struck off the shores of Vancouver Island BC. This new M5.5 event now sets the craton into motion (yet again), and will also most likely lead to a noteworthy earthquake South of Vancouver Island BC (area warned in the video from North California to the Axial Seamount.
Worthy to note the large LAKE DRAINING event that just occurred today (September 25th) in North California at Folsom Lake / Walker Lake: could be a draining event due to fault zone movement...

A noteworthy flurry of seismic activity has struck (and will continue) across the Midwest United States .. occurring at the fracking operations across Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.. this new activity is showing a renewed threat of moderate movement to strike the East coast, as well as the far Pacific Northwest (off the coast of Oregon / Washington State).
The overall magnitude to expect in the Pacific Northwest should be above M5.0, possibly reaching even higher into the lower M6.0 range. Keep watch in the NW United States for the next 7 days (beginning August 21, 2015 at midnight extending through August 28th at midnight - full seven day watch).
If a swarm of earthquakes strike instead of a larger single event, I will do an update to let you know the threat of a single larger event has passed.
The pressure showing across Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado -- as well as a new earthquake near the Nissan factory in Mississippi-- indicates the possibility of a larger midwest earthquake reaching into the mid-upper M4.0 range (or possibly larger) to strike near the fracking operations mentioned in the video, as well as moderate activity which may reach out to adjacent areas such as the New Madrid Seismic Zone in Missouri / Illinois / Tennessee / Indiana.
East coast states which reside upon the craton edge also need to be watching for moderate earthquake activity. North and South Carolina, reaching Northeast across New England into Southeast Quebec / New Brunswick Canada.
Most likely the larger portion of the expected movement will strike in SE Quebec.. but I wouldn't rule out a bit of activity directly along the East coast again.. this puts New York City, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Maryland, Delaware, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania back into the mix for possible smaller (but noticeable) events to strike over the next several days.
I wouldn't rule out a swarm to strike a few of these aforementioned locations. Possibly each location will be hit with small movement.
I know there are SEVERAL states on the East coast which reside along the edge of the craton, but we really need to watch to the NORTHeast as opposed to the Southeast (for the larger activity).

Facebook is now forcing users to get Moments app

NEW YORK. Social media giant Facebook is pushing its users to download its private photo-sharing Moments app, a media report said. The social network has begun sending out warnings that some photos will be deleted by July 7 if the app is not installed.
