While growing up in Santa Barbara, he often frequented the infamous Del Playa Drive, the middle of the party scene of the college town of Isla Vista, where he often found himself in fights with drunk college students. He became a Division I wrestler at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business/Accounting in 1995. We have been waiting giving ourselves to prayer
We have been crying, staining the ground with tears
We know that You can hear our voice
We know that You move through our voice
Now is the time for the river to rise
Now is the time for Your people to lift up their eyes
Our eyes up to you Lord
Through intercession we tune our ears to You
Watching and waiting when to release Your truth
You spoke the heavens and the earth
We speak the heavens into earth
Now is the time for the river to rise
Now is the time for Your people to lift up their eyes
Now is the time for Your people to pray
Now is the time for Your people to wait on You, Lord
We wait on You Lord
I will wait,
I will watch,
I will pray, I’ll weep
Until Your river rolls out of me
Jesus out of me
Hear the sound of the broken rising to Your throne
Hear the sound of the broken as we’re singing hymns of
hope
We were once enslaved now Your freedom reigns
We were once in chains now Your freedom, Your freedom
reigns
