Durai is a 2008 Tamil film directed by A. Venkatesh starring Arjun, Kirat Bhattal. It was considered as average grosser at the Box Office.
Raja (Arjun) works with a cook Arusuvai Ambi (Vivek). Raja comes across Anjali (Keerat), who catches his interest. She falls for Raja.
But Raja cannot remember anything of his past. All he recollects are vague images and memories that disturb him in his sleep. After a sequence of events and chase by rowdies, Raja collects his past.
Raja, a year ago was Durai, who was the close associate of honest politician Deivanayagam (K Viswanath). Durai who leads a happy life with his wife (Gajala) and his son, is hesitant to assume the post.
Anjali (Keerat), a reporter, pursues him for interviews and falls in love. Deivanayagam gets killed and the blame falls on Durai.
His wife and son are murdered. Eventually, Durai alias Raja takes on his enemies cracks the truth behind Deivanayakam's death. Action oozing all the way.

His main adversary in hen fights is Rathinam, the police inspector. Pettaikaarar is known to have an impeccable track record of successes when it comes to fowl fights especially with Rathinam's. In an unexpected situation, Pettaikaaran challenges Rathinam to a fowl contest which witnesses Karuppu violating his mentor Pettaikaarar's word but emerging successfully with enviable proceeds. This results in the swelling of his status among his folks which plants the seeds of animosity in the minds of Pettaikaaran. What follows is an interesting and unexpected path with twists and turns highlighting on the way the multiple layers of human emotions with sense playing truant.

Soori and Vikram Prabhu are police officers who borrow money from John Vijay (Vatti Varadhan) in order to invest in real estate business but to their bad luck the broker cheat them by selling a burial ground. Heavily boozed Soori and Vikram Prabhu call John Vijay thinking that the number belongs to the fake broker and sleaze him. Now both Soori and Vikram are detained by John Vijay.
In the meanwhile, Vikram falls in love with Sri Divya (Yamuna) who is soon to be married by John Vijay. Initially Vikram assumes that Sri Divya is John Vijay's sister but at one point of time he comes to know the truth. Sri Divya opposes to marry John Vijay and finds ways to escape from the house. The rest of the story tells us whether Vikram Prabhu marries Sri Divya or not?
