Rocky is an American film directed by John G. Avildsen and both written by and starring Sylvester Stallone. It tells the rags to riches American Dream story of Rocky Balboa, an uneducated but kind-hearted debt collector for a loan shark in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rocky starts out as a club fighter who later gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship. It also stars Talia Shire as Adrian, Burt Young as Adrian's brother Paulie, Burgess Meredith as Rocky's trainer Mickey Goldmill, and Carl Weathers as the champion, Apollo Creed.
The film, made on a budget of $950,000 and shot in 28 days, was a sleeper hit; it made over $225 million, the highest grossing film of 1976, and won three Oscars, including Best Picture. The film received many positive reviews and turned Stallone into a major star. It spawned five sequels: Rocky II, III, IV, V and Rocky Balboa, all written by and starring Stallone.

Der aktuelle und ungeschlagene schwarze Schwergewichts-Boxweltmeister Apollo Creed kann nicht gegen seinen Gegner kämpfen, der sich eine Handverletzung im Training zugezogen hat. Apollo hat aber schon viel zu viel Publicity in diesen Kampf gesteckt und muss unbedingt gegen jemanden kämpfen. Aus diesem Grund gewährt er am amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitstag einem Amateur aus Philadelphia die einmalige Chance, gegen ihn einen Kampf um den Weltmeisterschaftsgürtel auszutragen.
Aus einem umfangreichen Boxerverzeichnis wird Rocky Balboa aufgrund seiner italienischen Vorfahren („Wer war der Entdecker Amerikas, war das nicht auch ein Italiener?") und seines Kampftitels The Italian Stallion (Der italienische Hengst) ausgewählt. Rocky, ungebildet und aus einfachsten Verhältnissen stammend, verdient etwas Geld als erfolgloser Boxer bei Kämpfen in heruntergekommenen Buden und als Geldeintreiber für den Kredithai Tony Gazzo. Sein gesamtes Leben spielt sich in dem Armenviertel Philadelphias ab.
Rocky erkennt die Chance und investiert seine gesamte Kraft, um die Chance seines Lebens zu nutzen. Er rechnet nicht mit einem Sieg, ist aber schon stolz darauf, mit dem Weltmeister in einem Ring stehen zu dürfen und dadurch Bekanntheit zu erringen. Die Prämie für den Kampf kann er ebenfalls gut gebrauchen.
Der ursprüngliche Schaukampf in einer ausverkauften Boxarena wird für Apollo überraschend zu einer peinlichen Auseinandersetzung, in der Rocky nicht das harmlose „Opferlamm" ist, das sich vom Weltmeister vorführen lässt -- im Gegenteil. Rocky kämpft wie besessen, hält sich über die gesamte Rundendistanz und bringt den Weltmeister sogar in Bedrängnis; allerdings handelt er sich dabei eine bedenkliche Verletzung am rechten Auge ein. Apollo Creed gewinnt zwar nach Punkten, aber die Zuschauer feiern Rocky Balboa wie einen Sieger. Der völlig erschöpfte Apollo Creed verlässt sichtlich konsterniert und beeindruckt den Kampfplatz.

On November 25, 1975, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is introduced as a small-time boxer and collector for Anthony Gazzo (Joe Spinell), a loan shark, living in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. The World Heavyweight Championship bout is scheduled for New Year's Day 1976, the year of the United States Bicentennial. When the opponent of undefeated heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) is injured, Creed comes up with the idea of giving a local underdog a shot at the title and, because he likes Rocky's nickname, "The Italian Stallion", he selects the relatively unknown fighter. He puts it in lights by proclaiming "Apollo Creed meets 'The Italian Stallion'". The fight promoter says the decision is "very American", but Creed adds it is also "very smart".

Rocky is an American film directed by John G. Avildsen and both written by and starring Sylvester Stallone. It tells the rags to riches American Dream story of Rocky Balboa, an uneducated but kind-hearted debt collector for a loan shark in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rocky starts out as a club fighter who later gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship. It also stars Talia Shire as Adrian, Burt Young as Adrian's brother Paulie, Burgess Meredith as Rocky's trainer Mickey Goldmill, and Carl Weathers as the champion, Apollo Creed. The film, made on a budget of $950,000 and shot in 28 days, was a sleeper hit; it made over $225 million, the highest grossing film of 1976, and won three Oscars, including Best Picture. The film received many positive reviews and turned Stallone into a major star. It spawned five sequels: Rocky II, III, IV, V and Rocky Balboa, all written by and starring Stallone. Der aktuelle und ungeschlagene schwarze Schwergewichts-Boxweltmeister Apollo Creed kann nicht gegen seinen Gegner kämpfen, der sich eine Handverletzung im Training zugezogen hat. Apollo hat aber schon viel zu viel Publicity in diesen Kampf gesteckt und muss unbedingt gegen jemanden kämpfen. Aus diesem Grund gewährt er am amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitstag einem Amateur aus Philadelphia die einmalige Chance, gegen ihn einen Kampf um den Weltmeisterschaftsgürtel auszutragen. Aus einem umfangreichen Boxerverzeichnis wird Rocky Balboa aufgrund seiner italienischen Vorfahren („Wer war der Entdecker Amerikas, war das nicht auch ein Italiener?") und seines Kampftitels The Italian Stallion (Der italienische Hengst) ausgewählt. Rocky, ungebildet und aus einfachsten Verhältnissen stammend, verdient etwas Geld als erfolgloser Boxer bei Kämpfen in heruntergekommenen Buden und als Geldeintreiber für den Kredithai Tony Gazzo. Sein gesamtes Leben spielt sich in dem Armenviertel Philadelphias ab. Rocky erkennt die Chance und investiert seine gesamte Kraft, um die Chance seines Lebens zu nutzen. Er rechnet nicht mit einem Sieg, ist aber schon stolz darauf, mit dem Weltmeister in einem Ring stehen zu dürfen und dadurch Bekanntheit zu erringen. Die Prämie für den Kampf kann er ebenfalls gut gebrauchen. Der ursprüngliche Schaukampf in einer ausverkauften Boxarena wird für Apollo überraschend zu einer peinlichen Auseinandersetzung, in der Rocky nicht das harmlose „Opferlamm" ist, das sich vom Weltmeister vorführen lässt -- im Gegenteil. Rocky kämpft wie besessen, hält sich über die gesamte Rundendistanz und bringt den Weltmeister sogar in Bedrängnis; allerdings handelt er sich dabei eine bedenkliche Verletzung am rechten Auge ein. Apollo Creed gewinnt zwar nach Punkten, aber die Zuschauer feiern Rocky Balboa wie einen Sieger. Der völlig erschöpfte Apollo Creed verlässt sichtlich konsterniert und beeindruckt den Kampfplatz. Privat erringt Rocky ebenfalls einen Erfolg, indem er die Liebe der schüchternen Adrian, Schwester seines Freundes Paulie, gewinnt. -

It tells the rags to riches American Dream story of Rocky Balboa, an uneducated but kind-hearted debt collector for a loan shark in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rocky starts out as a club fighter who later gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship. It also stars Talia Shire as Adrian, Burt Young as Adrian's brother Paulie, Burgess Meredith as Rocky's trainer Mickey Goldmill, and Carl Weathers as the champion, Apollo Creed.
The film, made on a budget of $950,000 and shot in 28 days, was a sleeper hit; it made over $225 million, the highest grossing film of 1976, and won three Oscars, including Best Picture. The film received many positive reviews and turned Stallone into a major star. It spawned five sequels: Rocky II, III, IV, V and Rocky Balboa, all written by and starring Stallone.

Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) has a heated argument with Mickey (Burgess Meredith) through the doors of his apartment.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), a Philadelphia boxer, is but one step removed from total bum-hood. A once-promising pugilist, Rocky is now taking nickel-and-dime bouts and running strongarm errands for local loan sharks to survive. Even his supportive trainer, Mickey (Burgess Meredith), has given up on Rocky. All this changes thanks to Muhammad Ali-like super-boxer Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). With the Bicentennial celebration coming up, Creed must find a "Cinderella" opponent for the big July 4th bout -- some unknown whom Creed can "glorify" for a few minutes before knocking him cold. Rocky Balboa was not the only Cinderella involved here: writer/director Sylvester Stallone, himself a virtual unknown, managed to sell his Rocky script (one of 35 that he'd written over the years) on the proviso that he be given the starring role. Since the film was to be made on a shoestring and marketed on a low-level basis, the risk factor to United Artists was small. For Stallone, this was a make-or-break opportunity -- just like Rocky's million-to-one shot with Apollo Creed. Costing under a million dollars, Rocky managed to register with audiences everywhere, earning back 60 times its cost. The film won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Apollo hat aber schon viel zu viel Publicity in diesen Kampf gesteckt und muss unbedingt gegen jemanden kämpfen. Aus diesem Grund gewährt er am amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitstag einem Amateur aus Philadelphia die einmalige Chance, gegen ihn einen Kampf um den Weltmeisterschaftsgürtel auszutragen.
Aus einem umfangreichen Boxerverzeichnis wird Rocky Balboa aufgrund seiner italienischen Vorfahren („Wer war der Entdecker Amerikas, war das nicht auch ein Italiener?") und seines Kampftitels The Italian Stallion (Der italienische Hengst) ausgewählt. Rocky, ungebildet und aus einfachsten Verhältnissen stammend, verdient etwas Geld als erfolgloser Boxer bei Kämpfen in heruntergekommenen Buden und als Geldeintreiber für den Kredithai Tony Gazzo. Sein gesamtes Leben spielt sich in dem Armenviertel Philadelphias ab.

Paulie (Burt Young) loses it with Adrian (Talia Shire) and Rocky (Sylvester Stallone), breaking things around the apartment.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), a Philadelphia boxer, is but one step removed from total bum-hood. A once-promising pugilist, Rocky is now taking nickel-and-dime bouts and running strongarm errands for local loan sharks to survive. Even his supportive trainer, Mickey (Burgess Meredith), has given up on Rocky. All this changes thanks to Muhammad Ali-like super-boxer Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). With the Bicentennial celebration coming up, Creed must find a "Cinderella" opponent for the big July 4th bout -- some unknown whom Creed can "glorify" for a few minutes before knocking him cold. Rocky Balboa was not the only Cinderella involved here: writer/director Sylvester Stallone, himself a virtual unknown, managed to sell his Rocky script (one of 35 that he'd written over the years) on the proviso that he be given the starring role. Since the film was to be made on a shoestring and marketed on a low-level basis, the risk factor to United Artists was small. For Stallone, this was a make-or-break opportunity -- just like Rocky's million-to-one shot with Apollo Creed. Costing under a million dollars, Rocky managed to register with audiences everywhere, earning back 60 times its cost. The film won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

The movie story deals with Satya and Deepthi both lovers lives in Vishakhapatnam. A dreaded don, Veeru Bhai, lusts for Deepthi. When Deepthi's parents are killed, she and Satya escape. They board a bus en route to Hyderabad, but the bus is stopped unexpectedly and boarded by three men: Veeru's henchman Deva, Veeru's brother Ajay, and a corrupt police inspector, Shravan. They board a bus en route to Hyderabad, but the bus is stopped unexpectedly and boarded by three men: Veeru's henchman Deva, Veeru's brother Ajay, and a corrupt police inspector, Shravan. They kill Deepthi in front of Satya, and he suffers an almost-fatal stab wound. Before the three leave, they set fire to the bus, leaving Satya to his death. However, Dr. Shailaja saves Satya by giving him a new face and skin. Ten months later, Satya awakes from his coma. Under the pseudonym of Ram, Satya returns to Vishakhapatnam where he meets a model named Shruti, whom Veeru likes. Befriending Shruti, he takes advantage of his new unknown face, and lures Deva to a half-constructed apartment, where Satya kills him. A photo of Deva is discovered by assistant commissioner Ashok Varma, which has been marked with a "1". Satya then files a report on Deepthi with the police, stating that she has been missing for ten days. Since Shravan knows that Deepthi was killed ten months earlier, he becomes suspicious of Satya in his new persona, and follows him to a mall, where Satya kills him. During the investigation on Shravan's death, Satya presents himself to Varma as an eyewitness. When asked to provide a description of the killer, Satya describes his former face. Satya then manipulates Ajay to fall in love with Shruti and gets the two of them to pose in compromising positions for some pictures, under the pretense that they will be used as a promotion to assist Shruti in getting an opportunity to audition for the female lead in a film. Instead, Satya sends copies of the pictures to Veeru, in order to turn him against both Ajay and Shruti. Satya then convinces Ajay that the only way to save Shruti from Veeru's ire is to kill Veeru, which would also allow Ajay to gain his brother's position. However, Veeru's henchmen kill Ajay, but Veeru is himself killed by Satya, who reveals his true identity. He apologizes to Shruti for using her, before leaving.

But Gani realises his mistake once he sees Naidu and his family and brings Krishnaveni back to Malaysia. As a cheated Krishnaveni begins rebuilding her life with Gani's support, love blossoms between the two. Into this situation walks in Kishore who is desperate to win back Krishnaveni's love. Meanwhile, Naidu is furious about the whole episode and engages the services of Malaysia Don Salim Bhai to trap Gani. Gani uses all his guile to thwart Salim Bhai and throw Kishore off the track.
