Shoutout to MrTweeday for the MovieCFG, Render Settings etc!

Here is a guide that includes absolutely every last thing you need to know about on how to record a clip on
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive!
Download this - Contains all files needed throughout the tutorial:

Step 1:
Setting Up Your
CSGO!
1. Go to your csgo folder and make a copy of your "cfg" folder. Rename "cfg2" to "cfgplay" and then take "autoexecmvm
.cfg" from the "Moviecfg-Mrtweeday
.rar" and extract it into the "cfg" folder inside of your "csgo" folder.
2.
Extract "addons" from the "CSGOHelper.rar" into your "csgo" folder.
3. Go to your games list on
Steam and right-click Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and go to Properties and then
Launch Options.
Type in "-insecure" and also "-novid" to disable the intro that runs everytime you open the game.
Step 2: Setting Up Your
Graphics Card!
1.
Open your graphics card's control panel depending on if you're
ATI,
NVIDIA or another make. Browse and find something to do with changing the 3D Settings and turn everything up to the max for optimal quality.
Step 3: Preparing CSGO!
1. Open CSGO and then open your console. Type in "exec autoexecmvm.cfg" and then go to your
Video Settings and make sure everything is turned up to the max and
Motion Blur is
OFF! Then change the resolution to 1280x720
Windowed Mode if the cfg didn't do it for you already.
Step 4:
Ready To
Record!
1. Take your desired demo and place it into your "csgo" folder and then run CSGO.
2. Open your console and type "exec autoexecmvm" and then "demoui" and a little player widget should pop up on your screen.
3.
Hit load on the player "demoui" and browse to your demo and run it.
4. Use the controls on the demoui to scroll through the demo until you reach the starting of your clip.
Pause just a bit before it to allow room to do a few things.
5. Open the console and type "host_timescale 0" and then "host_framerate
300" and then "cl_draw_only_deathnotices 1". Then type in "startmovie clip" and close your console, csgo will now begin to take screenshots.
Quickly hit resume on your demoui and close it.
Everything should be off the screen except your crosshair and death notices and should be playing slowly!
6.
Once your clip comes to its end, open the console and type "quit" or "stopdemo".
Step 5: Obtaining An .
AVI!
1. Open up "Veedub64.exe" inside the Virtualdub
.rar file. Go to
File - Open Video File and then browse to your csgo folder and click on "clip0000
.tga" and then it should open the full sequence inside of vdub. Scroll along and delete any unnecessary video and make sure it's all there.
2. Go to Video - Framerate and then check off "
Change Framerate to fps" and put in the fps you used when you recorded your clip. IE "host_framerate 300" so I put in 300.
3. Go to File -
Save As .Avi and then save it to your desktop or whereever you'd like.
Step 6: Obtaining
Sound!
1. Redo Step
4: 2/
3/4 and then open up your console. Type in "host_timescale 1" and then "host_framerate 0" and then "cl_draw_only_deathnotices 1" and then type in "startmovie sound" and close your console and resume your demo and close your demoui. The demo should play at nearly full speed.
2. Once your clip comes to an end once again just type "quit" or "stopdemo" into your console.
Step 7: Syncing The
Audio And
Video!
1. You're almost there! Open up your editing software.
Chances are you're using
Sony Vegas so just drag both your
.avi file that you virtualdubbed earlier and your
.WAV audio file that you just recorded inside of your "csgo" folder into Sony Vegas so that both are on the editing line.
2. Now just sync them up as I do in the video by matching the bullets up with a particular frame right before a shot or rise in the audio wave.
Step 8: Rendering Your
Clip!
1. After editing it and doing everything you want to it you're basically finished. Go to File-Render As and then follow what I do in the video. Pausing it to make sure everything is copied correctly and then encoding it using the
Easy H264 Encoder. Once that's finished you're ready to upload to Youtube, enjoy :D
